keep his calls for a long time. he left the jacket hanging in his office when he went on his last trip to mississippi when he passed away. >> on american history tv will travel to thomas jefferson monticello. >> if you would've visited 20 years ago you would've seen jefferson's fella. but we wanted to do was change that. we wanted to restore the landscape of slavery. if you came up this mountaintop in jefferson's time the first thing you would've say most likely would've been enslaved people. there would been no place in this mountaintop that slavery was not visible. we want to restore that, make that known to visitors who come here today. >> will visit the miller center at the university of virginia to learn about the first year

with his book, i wore which examines how modern warfare has evolved. he's interviewed by a congressman from new york. chair of the armed services subcommittee on emerging threats and capability. >> it is really a look at what i feel is the new form of warfare that is a merchant in the 21st century. i've covered national security affairs for over 30 years, been all over the world covering these issues. it's a reflection of the information age that we are now looking at this new form of warfare and i do find that has both a technical cyber that we have seen so much of in terms of cyber attacks on the russians and chinese, as well as the content influence type of things which really emerged in the last presidential election with the russians and what's been called the cyber enabled influence operation. so these two things will be the
