article 1, the abuse of power as he becomes the first republican to say that. keep in mind on both of those articles the senate would need 67 votes to convict president trump for abuse of power or for the obstruction of congress charge. so there are 47 democrats, 47 total, 35 democrats, two independents and mitt romney would make 48, well short of the 67 they need as they wrap up, we are also just getting word that senator joe manchin is saying with a statement out saying he would vote for the 2 articles of impeachment and also kristen sinema saying the same thing, arizona republic reporting
