after the holocaust and the civil rights movement. but the theme of how much jews are engaged with the questions ofthices or -- of ethics or social justice outside of the community and ethics outside the jewish social community. i want to start with a little bit of a review to get us up to speed. we've been talking all semester about the different divisions which in here within the jewish community in america. can we start out with what are some of the ways jews divide themselves from each other or some of the ways jews break down. >> socio economic class. >> downtown and downtown jews. >> movement membership. >> what do you mean by that. >> requiring different observance level --
