the amelia and heart collection at purdue university houses the largest of -- collection related to her. we look at selected items including poems and letters that she wrote to her family and a prenuptial letter that she gave to her husband on their wedding day. amelia ehrhardt worked in west lafayette for the later part of her life. it was during her last flight for purdue that she disappeared. >> from an airplane, even the watchful purple hills that hold the lake could not see as well as i the evening. increasing from its heart neither the hamlet filling with miss. she would have been about 23 whenever she was writing these.

you can see that she has kind of a romanticized view of the able to see nature below her. when she became an aviation contributor for cosmopolitan magazine, she would talk about the beauty of flying. she loves seeing the flies up there and the serenity of being on her own and be able to look at the beauty below. amelia ehrhardt was an early pilot when many women do not have careers outside the home. she is most well remembered today for having disappeared. it is still a mystery what had happened to her. she was such a pioneer for women's rights and women's education. a quality of the sexes was very important to her. as well as promoting aviation as a legitimate form of traveling. many people were afraid of child -- flying.

it was not until 1920, when she really seriously thought about taking flying lessons. she had to convince her family because it was the only dangerous, it was expensive. they did not have money to help her do that. she started working jobs so that she could pay for her own lessons. one of her requirements from her dad was that she take lessons from a woman pilot. i took her a little while to find a woman pilot, but eventually she did. this woman was the one who first took her out in a plane. from the teacher specific -- teacher's perspective, amelia was horrible. she was day dreaming and not pay attention to technical things that she needed to know. >> with the sec focusing on net

neutrality in february we spoke to chris riley and att vice president. >> we believe that th at the end of the day, the internet needs strong rules to protect people. and needs to include no discrimination, subject to reasonable management. they need to be effectively enforceable. >> the problem we have now and where the net neutrality issue has gone is that it is not focused on the substantive. i think there's a lot of consensus -- it is focused on the sec legal authority and what drugs -- jurisdictional authority than i that it should use. we worry that they will use of regulatory status that has existed for decades.
