city towards has partnered with time warner cable to learn about the history of lincoln, nebraska. >> cavett was one of the most important writers. she was given every award possible before she died. except for the nobel prize. she was known for some of her masterpieces, like the professor's house. in 1943, she had made a will which had a few restrictions including she did not want her letters to be published, or be quoted in whole or in part. she left behind 3000 letters that we know about now. the biggest collection was left here in nebraska. in her will, she left one more important thing. she left the discretion of her trusty whether or not to enforce her preference. they believed as an educational

organization that she belongs to our shared heritage. announcer: an important historical figure in nebraska's history was solomon d butcher. >> he was a pioneering photographer in custer county in western nebraska. he took photos from 1887 until the early 1890's of homesteaders and was able to tell the majority of this important development of american history. i am going to show you when a my favorite images. it is the photograph of the sisters. of -- of the chrisman sisters. it is four sisters who eat took a homestead -- who each took a homestead claim in custer county. this was the first time that
