hello. yes, i'm doing some work. i'm just breaking everything. i think i might have one of those days. how are you doing? i'll keep talking. i'm robin meade. here's what's going on. entire neighborhoods are under water. streets are washed out and power lines are down and now dangerous flash floods in the south have taken lives. new revelations about former presidential candidate john edwards and the woman he had an affair with. why he may now admit he's the father of her child allegedly. >> that's what i -- i said what i meant and i meant what i said. >> the long arm of the law is going to have to get a little

bit longer. why a mayor is saying no to cops chasing suspects on foot. first, our top story, the flooding in the southeast isn't just making a mess. now it is deadly. it has been some of the worst rainfall that hit the region in a century. at least six people have been killed. some are drivers caught up in the flash flooding. one witness says that the conditions made it impossible to help people. >> no way i could help. i was screaming and yelling i was flashing my lights trying to get him to stop and there was no way i could help. he was on the other side of the creek. there was nothing i could do. one family thought to survive in a creek near atlanta. wsb reports that a woman held on to her 1-year-old in one arm and a tree in the other for three hours until they were rescued. down the creek, the father could not hold on to his 2-year-old son. the boy was swept aaand drowned. so awful.

the southeast does not need more tragedies like that or more rain. still more rain could be on the way. meteorologist bob van dillen has that forecast for you in a few minutes here. so far it looks like older kids will need one shot for the h1n1 but kids 6 months to 9 years of age may need two, that is from the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases. this is early data. we should learn more next month. the director said none of the 600 kids in the studies had adverse reactions. new this morning, u.s. government offices in south africa are closed right now. the u.s. embassy's website says they're closed because of info from regional security officials. but the site says that they assume they're going to be reopening tomorrow. we will keep you updated about what's going on. brand new details about the rapper charged with killing a pastor and suspected in three other deaths. police in virginia say they'll charged richard mccroskey iii with the other killings once

they identify the victims. mccroskey calls himself syko sam and has rapid rapped about the thrill of killing. last night president obama chatted with david letterman. he said he's not the first commander in chief to face opposition for trying to make some changes. >> one of the things you sign up for in politics is folks yell at you. but i think that what has been missing from the conversation is that the overwhelming majority of people, republican or democrat, i think they just want to see some common sense, they want to see some honesty and integrity in washington. >> well, the president didn't just talk policy though. little later he jokes about what he'll do when his young daughters start dating in a few years. homeland security is warning transit systems across the country to step up patrols. the associated press reports that counterterrorism officials

issued a bulletin recommending sweeps and patrols at terminals and stations. now it's all because of the recent arrests in a possible plot against new york transit. no one is charged with terrorism in that case. just with lying to agents. while his former colleagues debate health care reform former leader tom delay was doing the cha cha, check out his debut on "dancing with the stars" last night. ♪ ♪ wild thing >> it just makes me uncomfortable to see this. every time, wasn't it him shaking his bum at us? delay plays air guitar and took a twist at wild thing. judges gave him a six and two fives. that put him in the middle of the pack. he wasn't the worse. >> i think that was a stunt bum. >> stunt bum. wasn't his bum. oh. wow. >> there you go. >> wow.

okay. he stepped it up there. okay. >> good for him. >> uncomfortable. >> it just makes me uncomfortable. you're right. i'm not used to seeing him in that arena. the rain, a lot of us are looking upward to the sky because the areas in which we live, perhaps, don't need any more rain. what's the deal in your back yard, no matter what region you're in, bob will cover it. >> tremendous amounts of rainfall we had yesterday, 6 to 12 inches reported around atlanta metro not going to happen today. i think we will see another stripe of heavy rain develop later this afternoon, i think it's going to be the west of atlanta mainly in alabama through mississippip you have high pressure off the coast that's going to bleed into the west a little bit farther and you have a cold front pinchg off some rain right now that moves on into the region right now. i think those two areas will get focused with the heavy downpour action. alabama through lower tennessee as well. the rain around memphis and the rain we had around the atlanta

metro area dropped off last night. now it's picking back up again just northern sections of the state towards northern georgia itself and then more rain back across alabama, that whole thing has the potential of moving over the massively flooded out areas by atlanta metro, western georgia, northern georgia too. we're not out of the woods by any stretch. flash flood warnings and flood warnings are out there in the bright shade of green, atlanta through rome, more through birmingham stretching back into mississip mississippi. lots of rain in store. look at rain mostly north of atlanta now and then more showers off towards the west. here's the mississippi river. see a line of showers towards western mississippi. that's where the heaviest rain is going to be for the morning and then texas too. a tower cam out of the d.c. we call this patchy fog. here's the white house looking okay. it's dry right now. just a couple showers, just across the way, you can see the capitol dome sort of. >> no, you can't. what are you looking at? >> it gives us the flag in

there are new reports that  former presidential candidate john edwards may change his story and claim paternity of hi former mistress' child. the news comes as one of his former campaign aides is shopping a tell-all book to publishers. sources say andrew young only said he was the father of rielle hunter's daughter because edwards begged him to do that. they say that young later recanted because edwards turned on him, according to the "new york times," young claims

edwards always knew he was the father and promised hunter he would married her after his cancer stricken wife elizabeth dies. meanwhile a grand jury in north carolina is looking into whether edwards misused campaign funds to cover the affair of up. this is video of hunter arriving to testify last month. edwards paid her production company more than $100,000 for a series of videos during his 2008 campaign. if edwards knowingly failed to report any other payments that could be considered campaign contributions and could go to jail. edwards does not think any campaign funds were used improperly in this. >> thank you. lower grocery bill is always nice and the price of the things that you buy from the farm are dropping. jennifer westhovan is here. i realize that's usually not good news for everybody. >> yeah. it's not good news for farmers. and for some of the big companies that make a lot of the food. but it is good news in a bad economy for most of us.

if you're at the grocery store. milk should be costing you about $1 less per gallon -- sorry, knocked the microphone there. compared to last year. the latest average, prices should be about $2.98 a gallon where you live, around $3. these are in government statistics cited by "usa today." bacon got cheaper, 25 cents less for a pound of bacon. a lot of the pig farmers say the drop is mostly because of the recession. they say, you know, confusion, though, about h1n1, swine flu, is also making it worse, though, because some people are making the mistake thinking that pork has something to do with swine flu and it doesn't. for the first time more americans say they would rather handle their money on their computer instead of waiting in line at the branch or trying to bank by phone and you got to go through that whole voice mail navigational maze there. this is according to the american bankers association. you can see some of the chart there. internet banking is pretty big. see there's a section that says unknown. what is that?

a former ebay executive says that she can help california save billions. the company's former ceo meg witman will announce today she is running for governor of that cash strapped state. the republican says she wants to slash spending by $15 billion. the current governor arnold schwarzenegger's term ends next year. some say you can never have too many shoes. a woman in california must be testing that theory. darlene flynt owns more than 11,000 shoe-related items. she started collecting about nine years ago and has everything from a shoe toothbrush to a shoe bed. >> i used to buy everything i saw that was a shoe and then the last couple of years i just buy the things that are really unique because it's getting overwhelming. there's not enough room in my house.

about a fourth of the entire game, won. peyton manning led them in a come from behind play. gets a high five from tiger woods. sunday will be michael vick's first game since being released from prison for dog fighting. do not expect to see him much on the field. andy reid said even though donovan mcnabb is hurt vick will take a back seat to kevin cobb. vick hasn't played in two years but will probably see a few plays on the field slowly but surely. moms listen up, pedialyte and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches helped colt mccoy beat the flu at texas tech. mccoy had the flu all week, struggled in the first half against tech saturday. at halftime he downed the pedialyte and had a few pbjs and felt much better in the second half. he completed almost every pass he threw and had a touchdown. >> pedialyte and peanut butter, protein. >> for the flu. lastly, 102-year-old dodger fan got the chance of a lifetime and

we are seeing some of the worst rainfall to hit the southeast in a century. nearly a week of storms and flooding are blamed for at least six deaths. coming up, meteorologist bob van dillen tells us whether the worst is over or if more severe weather is on the way. president obama is considering a new strategy for the war in afghanistan. it will focus on going after al qaeda, including using more spy planes to target suspected terror havens. administration officials say this could be a better option than a major military escalation. those are some of the headlines we're working on this morning and i see you're probably working on your coffee. good morning, sunshine. a terror plot investigation is getting bigger.

investigators now say that several others can be involved. the three men already in custody were in court yesterday. they're suspected of being involved in a plot to attack a major railway or subway station, but officials admit they don't know exactly where or when. right now the men are only charged with lying to authorities. maybe i should say they're charged only with lying to authorities. former president bill clinton is weighing in on the health care reform debate. last night he told larry king he thinks, some, but not all, of the fikts about president obama's proposal is motivated by race. >> i believe that some of the right wing extremists which oppose president obama are also racially prejudiced. and would prefer not to have an african-american president. but i don't believe that all the people that oppose him on health care and all the conservatives are racist. and i believe if he were white, every single person who opposes him now, would be opposing him

then. >> clinton also said that he thinks health care is a fight that president obama and the democratic party need to win on merit. three pharmacists say they warned anna nicole smith's doctors that the drugs they were prescribing would kill her. the "l.a. times" got court documents that show one pharmacist refused to fill a prescription that included 300 methadone tablets. smith's psychiatrist and internist are also accused of having sexual contact with her. they pleaded not guilty to charges of illegally providing her with drugs. new information this morning about the affair that unraveled john edwards' political career. one of his former aides claims edwards has known all along he was the father of the -- of his mistress' child. richard liu, good morning to you. is edwards mapping to admit that, say something different? >> good morning. that's what some of his associates are telling "the new york times" right now. edwards lawyer told the paper,

quote, there may be a statement on that subject at some point, but said that they would want to see how things unfold going forward. you might remember that edwards was publicly denied being the father of rielle hunter's child in an interview on abc last year. >> i know that it's not possible that this child could be mine because of the timing of events. i know it's not possible. happy to take a paternity test and would love to see it happen. >> that paternity test hasn't happened but a friend of hunter said the affair was going on when hunter got pregnant. >> this isn't just a story about a sex scandal. edwards is facing the possibility of criminal charges. >> yeah. that's right. the potential charges here in this case are felonies that carry up to five years in prison. a former federal prosecutor talked about some alleged payments to hunter on our sister network cnn. >> and we know that some of his campaign contributors gave her a

bmw, allegedly. we've also heard that she got lodging, she got other expenses paid. that could really be considered a campaign donation. i have to say, it's really novel, it's complicated, but it is possible. >> north carolina grand jury will decide whether edwards knowingly failed to report any payments to hunter, perhaps to keep her quiet. edwards has said he doesn't think, though, any campaign funds were used improperly there. >> we're going to watch that one. thank you. get this, a school bus ended up in a pond while carrying a swim team to practice. the high school students who were on board, they're okay. they say the bus went ten feet into the air before it veered and landed in the water. now police say the driver may have had a medical issue. that is one scary scene, isn't it? brush and grass fires force people to evacuate their homes for a while. people in more than 100 houses near medford, oregon, had to leave. fire officials are letting them back in now.

winds are making things difficult for the fire fighters. so far at least two fires have burned about 700 acres. it looks like a moment to dry out for some people who have been hit by rain too much for too many days. just a moment though, right? >> it is just a moment. i'll tell you this i think the focus of the heavy rain, it was over atlanta, down through macon yesterday, towards the val cost ta, georgia. central parts of georgia getting slammed. here's what it looks like on the radar. good stream of rain from georgia to alabama, towards mississippi. places around arkansas heavy rain as well. the biggest thunderstorms for the morning finding themselves around southern parents of texas. another part that needs rain they're getting it. look at the thunderstorms developing and moving up to the due north. there's a high pressure region right around the carolinas and off shore that's pushing all the action over towards the north. ultimately towards the northeast for today.

so the flash flood warnings are going to be extended through the afternoon. so those are all the areas that are shaded in green. watching for an additional one or more inches of rain today, especially if you're underneath one of those heavy rain-making downpours. you'll see as much as two to three inches again for the afternoon. atlanta radar picture, pretty important. we are beginning to dry out. things beginning to drain just a bit. notice the activity up to the north, more back off towards the west. this moves in later this afternoon. we are not out of the woods. neither is alabama and mississippi. rain showers in the forecast for louisiana and arkansas. the heaviest action by far across the lower parts of texas. they desperately need it. exceptional drought from austin, down to brownsville, they get rain today. this i-report out of atlanta, this is marietta, north side of town, they picked up about 6 to 12 inches of rain. right now it's about six to seven feet deep and encompasses the entire back-yard region.

no reports of damage to these people's homes but many people are reporting flood damage. it's just unreal situation. 15 to 20 inches of rain in three days, that's what we've seen in the west side of atlanta. >> let me show you the folks. we got brand new tape in here this morning, you can see what we're talking about. what people are dealing with. this is a major interstate. this is i-20 if you've ever been through the atlanta area, it intersects the city. this is out by the six flags area on the west side of the city and you can see there is so much under water. the roller coasters are under water. >> that's how i get to work and got detoured away from it this morning. >> this is the six flags, amusement park. obviously it is not sitting on a lake but it looks as though it is this morning. so wow, we have a lot of drying out to do. and we have a bit of a break but it's going to take a long time to dry out. these are live pictures of the same area, this is i-20 west of the city of atlanta.

and people are trying to squeeze through one way on the road, but you see nobody going the opposite direction for good reason. and thank goodness because i get a little nervous when i see people trying to traverse in the deep waters. >> you see the police car up there. they are letting them through legally. wow. unreal. >> there are a lot of schools in the southeast that are closed this morning. there are a lot of work places even that are excusing people because they can't get in. >> yes. >> one of our producers, in fact, was not able to get in this morning. what was the story? she went outside and her husband is like you better go back in. >> my son is off from school today. it's crazy. we're talking right there in this area that's by mlk about six to eight inches of rain in a 24-hour period yesterday. low-lying area, obviously, you can see what it did. >> thanks to our folks providing those live pictures from wgcl. kidnapping suspect philip garrido made a discovery that he thought was a discovery and he

you can hear people telling you how -- what's going to happen and what's going to happen -- what the future says. >> okay. garrido also claimed that the box let him talk to people without actually speaking. garrido and his wife pleaded not guilty in the dugard kidnapping case. grizzly bears living at yellowstone national park are on the threatened species list. a federal court ordered it yesterday in response to a lawsuit. 600 grizzlies live around the park. hunting them is illegal but people killed 20 last year in self-defense or by mistake. just two years ago, authorities believed that grizzlies had been saved from near extinction. president obama's daughters have a few years to go before they're allowed to start dating but the president is prepared for when that day comes. >> what do you think it is like for them to have their father be the president? what does that do to the kid experience? >> you know, so far, i think it's fine.

the cost of the wedding? maybe people think i want to be a little more secure in my job before i promise someone, you know, to spend my life with them. the recession making a big impact on our lives. everyday life and even some of the biggest choices of your life like getting married according to the census bureau statistics. more people waiting to get married. also, people thinking, you know, i think i'm going to wait to buy that home. or also waiting to move. more of us are also car pooling or taking mass transit. saving a couple bucks there. maybe you're leaving a little earlier these days to catch the bus or to pick up your co-worker, so the census bureau showed longer commutes, about 25 minutes was the average commute, and i couldn't believe this, one in eight american workers, out the door by 6:00 a.m. before our show even starts. >> i'm not surprised because i know television viewing habits get earlier and earlier in the

at least six people have been killed. some were drivers caught up in flash floods. two people are missing. it has been some of the worst rainfall to hit that region in a century. look at how bad things got at this gas station near atlanta. >> like i said, the manager said there's a car in the water out here. that's what i was looking for. can't even see it. >> probably 10 or 15 feet deep i'd say in the lower part of it. pretty deep out there. >> one family fought to survive in a creek in the atlanta area. affiliate wsb reports that a woman held on to her 1-year-old in one arm and her tree to the other for three ho hours until they were rescued. down the creek, the father could not held on to their 2-year-old son. that boy was swept away and drowned. it looks like another wet day for the southeast. there is a break so bob is watching to see if the end is in sight anywhere. >> good morning, robin. unfortunately, rain in the forecast at least through saturday for areas around

father in the past. has something changed here? >> robin, one of his former campaign aides is about to write eye tell-all book. according to the new york tiemdz, andrew young claiming that edwards always knew he fathered rielle hunter's daughter, but his friends say his wife elizabeth didn't want him to come forward. she addressed the paternity rumors on our sister network cnn in july. >> the continued questions about the paternity factor, is there any solution there? dna tests? >> my expectation is that some point something happens. i hope for the same of this child that it happens in a quiet way. >> andrew young claims edwards convinced him to say he was the father. sources say later he recanted because edwards turned his back on young. edwards did not respond to requests for comment. >> this isn't just a story about a salacious sex scandal.

edwards also faces a possibility of criminal charges here. yes. a north carolina grand jury heard testimony from rielle hunter last month. they want to know if edwards misused campaign funds to cover the affair uf up. hunter's company got more than $100 thoushg for a series of campaign videos in 2008. if edwards in this case knowingly failed to report any other payments, he could go to jail. etd wardz has said he did not think campaign funds were used improperly. >> richard, thank you. public smoking bans could prevent more than 150,000 heart attacks according to two new studies. they've found that heart attack rates fell 17% within a year after those bans took effect. the co-author of one of the studies says sproek-free laws not only protect smokers but guard nonsmokers from second-hand smoke and encourage those to quit smokie inor smoke less. >> and, no, i don't smoke.

9:00 p.m. here on hln. we continually are getting new updated pictures right now of the flooding in the southeast. these are live pictures. this is in the atlanta area. this is the result of nearly a week of storms. that's hard to tell, but that's an interstate. where i can't see. is that what you're thinking? this storm has been blamed for six deaths at least. you can see people obviously with were caught up in the water and swept away in many cases. now, to the right of this picture is an amusement park and it's not an amazement park built on a body of water, though when you look at this shot today you would think so. a lot of neighborhoods are flooded around atlanta right now. look at this picture. it's the strangest thing to see a home that's on fire with the fire truck right there, the fire truck obviously can't get to it because of the flooded area. water everywhere but the home is burning to the ground.

and you won't believe how a mother tried to save her son as her car got repossessed. what she says happened when she tried to get her 4-year-old from the backseat. first, though, our top story. the flooding in the southeast, it is not just making a mess, it has become deadly this morning. it has been some of the worst rainfall to hit that entire region in a century. and now at least six people have been killed. some were drivers caught up in flash flooding. a witness says that the conditions made it impossible to help one of the victims. >> there's no way i could help. that was the only thing. i was screaming and yelling. i was flashing my lights, trying to get him to stop. there was no way i could help. he was on the other side of the creek. there was nothing i could do. >> can you imagine? one family, they fought to survive in a creek near atlanta. our affiliate reports a woman held on to her 1-year-old in one arm and a tree in the other for

three hours until they were rescued. but down the creek the father could not hold on to his 2-year-old son. the boy was swept away and drown. i can't imagine having to watch that. there are more incredible pictures to show you. live pictures this morning. several interstates are still under water. and even if you don't see water on the side of this road, do you see the traffic? that's hard to miss. you're going to find neighborhoods flooded, too, around the atlanta area. so many colleges, high schools, elementary schools, have closed for today. here's an example of the problems close up. so you have a home on fire yesterday. the fire truck is right there. they can't get to it and do anything. so among the water, it burns down, basically. so is this a tape from yesterday or the tape from today? here is the same house, the tape from today, just a few minutes ago. the darn thing is still smoldering. still burning in some areas.

the fire struck is still right there. talk about frustration. well, it looks like maybe another wet day for the southeast. a see a tiny little break. but it's not big enough, right, bob? >> you're right. i think right now we're going to see the rain shift its axis to the heaviest downpour action into central alabama, northern alabama and parts of tennessee for the day. the current radar, a three hour loop, notice the thunderstorms beginning to develop north of atlanta and then pulling away. but the storms are still developing and they continue to hold on through northern alabama in through mississippi. and that whole thing is going to gradually slide across northern parts of mississippi, alabama, georgia, through tennessee. flood warnings still up there. yesterday we saw as much as 6 to 12 inches of rain in 24 hours just west of atlanta. atlanta itself got about 6 1/2. the flooding is our top story. and we're going to be showing you more video just as soon as we see it in our monitors here. we're going to move around and get you some different pictures. as soon as we see something that

is really grabbing, we'll go back and show you more. last night president obama chatted up david letterman. he says he's not the first commander in chief to face opposition for trying to change things. >> one of the things you sign up for in politics is folks yell at you. but -- but i think that what has been missing from the conversation is that the overwhelming majority of people, republican or democrat, i think they just want to see some common sense. they want to see some honesty and integrity. in washington. >> so the president didn't just talk policy, though. a little later he jokes about what he's going to do when his daughters start dating. a few minutes ago the president arrived at the u.n. today he's taking part in a climate change conference at the united nations. he's going to address the u.n. general assembly tomorrow. thought you'd like to see that. so far looks like older kids will need one shot for the h1n1.

but kids 6 months to 9 years of age might need two. that's from the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases. this is early data. we'll learn more next month. the director said none of the 600 kids in the studies had any adverse reactions. that's good. new this morning, u.s. government offices in south africa are closed because of a possible threat to united states embassy there. a state department rep say this is is just a precaution and that they're going to be closed for one day. he didn't give any more details about the threat. new reports that former presidential candidate john edwards may claim paternity of his former mistress's child. correspondent richard lui is digging into this for us. you know, edwards has denied being the father in the past. i mean, has something changed here? >> robin, one of his former campaign aides is about to write a tell-all book. according to "the new york times," andrew young claiming that edwards always knew he fathered rielle hunter's

daughter. edwards' friends say his wife elizabeth did not want him to come forward. she addressed the paternity rumors on our sister network, cnn, in july. >> and the continued questions about the paternity factor? is there any solution there? dna tests? do you know if anything's going to happen. >> my expectation is at some point something happens. and i hope for the -- for the sake of this child that it happens, you know, in a quiet way. >> andrew young claims edwards convinced him to say he was the father. sources say later he recanted because edwards turned his back on young. edwards, robin, did not respond to requests for comment as of yet. >> this isn't just a story about, you know, a salacious sex skan scandal. edwards also faces criminal charges. >> the north carolina grand jury heard tchl from rielle hunter last month. they want to know if edwards misused campaign funds to cover the affair up.

hunter's production company got more than $100,000 for a series of campaign videos in 2008. if edwards in this case knowingly failed to report any other payments he could go to jail. edwards has said he does not think any campaign funds were used improperly, robin. >> all right. richard, thank you. all right. homeland security is warning transit systems across the country to step up patrols. the associated press reports that counterterrorism officials issued a bulletin recommending sweeps and patrols at terminals and stations. it's all because of the recent arrest and possible plot against new york transit. no one is charged with terrorism in that case. they're charged with lying to agents. his former colleagues debate health care reform. former house majority leader tom delay was doing the cha cha. this is his debut on abc's "dancing with the stars" last night. ♪ >> oh, no!

about 25 cents cheaper for a pound of bacon. big farmers say, well, it's mostly because of the recession. so demand is down. but they also say that there has been some confusion that's making things worse. they say that some people are mistakenly thinking that h1n1 or swine flu has something to do with eating pork. it doesn't. in washington this morning the fed is starting a two-day meeting. it is expected to keep rates near zero. but it's the policy statement due tomorrow that everybody's going to be looking at. don't worry, i'll look at it for you. the big question is, is the fed going to agree with its chief, ben bernanke, who last week said the recession is very likely over. of course we know, jobs, that's a lagging indicator. that heals after the rest of the economy. on that front today the house is going to look at some legislation that could help more than 1 million americans who are just making their ends meet with their unemployment benefits. the house is set to take up a bill to extend jobless benefits for a few weeks in states with some of the highest jobless

"the l.a. times" got court documents that show one pharmacist refused to fill a prescription that included 300 methadone tablets. smith's psychiatrist and internist are also accused of having sexual contact with her. they pleaded not guilty to charges of illegally providing her with drugs. key negotiations start today in the health care debate. the author of the newest bill is

oil is rebounding from an oil demand. oil demand in china fell in august for the first time since march, is up krading above $71 a barrel. finally, netflix announced the winner of a three-year, million dollar contest to improve its movie recommendation system. the online movie renter awarded the prize to a sefben-member group of researchers, scientists and engineers from around the world. there were more than 50,000 contestants from 186 countries who spent three years -- had three years to work on it. a lot of like -- >> okay, who won the million dollar contest? a group of scientists? >> yep. >> they were studying how to make movies, referrals better? >> yes, exactly. >> wow. >> because for netflix, that million dollars is money well spent because if it's a more efficient system, going to make more money. it's very competitive market. >> that's impressive. thank you.

plot investigation is now getting bigger. a source familiar with the investigation is telling cnn at this hour that investigators are looking for about a dozen people. the three men already in custody were in court yesterday. they're suspected of being involved in a plot to attack a major railway or subway station. but officials admit that they don't know exactly where or when. right now the men are charged with lying to authorities. can you imagine, first of all, owning $400,000 worth of jewelry? then can you imagine it being stolen? that is the deal according to police of one nfl player. and he's on a team that was targeted previously. >> previously. we have two players from the same team that have been involved in a crime in one week's time, robin. >> as the alleged victims. >> alleged victims. this time we're talking about buffalo bills safety dante whitner. while he was stealing a pass from tampa bay sunday, somebody was stealing a whole lot of his bling, $400,000 worth from his
