time for your views. the question of the day, richelle carey telling us what we're asking our viewers to weigh in on. >> we've been talking about the fact that president obama has rejected all four options his advisers gave him for afghanistan which implies that he's starting over. he's saying he wants more of a definitive exit strategy, which led us to the question we want to know how do you, the viewer, define winning in afghanistan. if you think there is such a thing as winning in afghanistan.
1:13 pm

doing and why we're there. we're occupiers. they'll always be against us. >> if you think it's not attainable and we can't win, is it time for the troops to come home? >> caller: not yet. >> i didn't want to put words in your mouth but it seemed like the logical step from what you were saying. >> caller: we can't increase troops because no matter what you do, you're not going to win. >> thank you for the conversation. appreciate that. got a lot of comments on my facebook page starting last night because that's when we started to broach this subject. let's give you a sample of what we got. jeff says -- norma is on the known. i think that you have something to respond to that comment that

we just had referencing vietnam in particular. >> caller: it's not win or lose for iraq or afghanistan. they are people of their own. they have been tribal forever and ever. and i think we should just slowly pull out. vietnam survived. we left it in a horrible mess. they'll do what they do whether we're there or not. and why waste more lives? i don't understand it. >> thank you for your phone call. i also got a text. mary says the only way we come close to winning in afghanistan is to completely withdraw all our troops now. she agrees with norma. and joe wrote this on my facebook page -- and clay wrote this --
