where the dream has been blurred. king's speech was in 1963. he did not pass until five years later. in these five years, he began the political implications of his dream to economic reform. we must remember that the war on poverty that king started to address is still yet unfinished. we always mention the speech but we never revisit the mission. yes, we are dreamers, but more importantly we are achievers. the true essence of leadership is the ability to cultivate a vision that the masses can follow as one cohesive unit that can make a vision or dream or reality. my generation does not ask for another dream. we do not ask for a better speech. we truly just want to finish what keying already started in 1963. -- what king started in 1963.

if the civil rights movement taught us anything it taught us that our greatest asset is not our intellectual or musical or athletic ability, but our ability to speak as one and move as one to create change throughout this nation. not for the betterment of ourselves but for the betterment of all mankind. let's reclaim the dream and let's continue the mission. thank you very much. >> thank you. who are we? >> teamsters! >> who are we? >> teamsters. thanks to the reverend for putting this together. it was in 1968, this great speech was constructed. there was a dream that was bigger that we can ever imagine.

it was conceived before the assassination of our great dr. martin luther king. he had a vision. he said within 40 years we would have the first black president of the united states. that is not by accident. that is by conception. we need to recognize, and reclaim this dream for our kids, our history -- this tea party saying they have fundamental beliefs, how can they demonstrate against dr. martin luther king's speech, the very basic ideas that made this country great? do you know what that is like? we had a president who was a great republican, abe lincoln. that is like his rejecting the gettysburg address. this is serious.
