7:19 pm
bystander who said she came to this area because she was celebrating her grandson's birthday. she found out what happened just a few feet away. >> it made me angry. there has been so much animosity between people. we all live in the same country. we all frequent the same places. to have this type of hatred in anybody's hearts is unbelievable. >> that was one of the people who was standing here looking from across the street. he was not the only one. there were some people who were actually in the lot. they said most of the businesses close at 3:00 p.m. they were let go after questioning. many of them did not want to go

7:25 pm
putting it mildly to say the least. there is deep anger and some fear over how some americans settle their political differences. democrats had already planned to meet to plan political strategy for the year. they waited, desperate for information. they open their meeting with a prayer. >> god is close to our dear friend, debbie giffords and all those who were with her -- gabby giffords and all those who were with her. what you think of the idea that this is an attack that is politically motivated? >> i am deeply troubled by the thought that it would be politically motivated. we are living in this hyper partisan era where people are
