tv   Washington This Week  CSPAN  March 25, 2012 6:00am-7:00am EDT

6:00 am
it is on american. how many of you would have fought over the last three years we saw our private enterprise system, before our very eyes, dismantle, which-by- week, month-by-month period is that we do what? >>no. let me tell you something about the left wing aarp. they betrayed not just their membership and seniors but everyone. they were shameless cheer leaders for obama. what was all that about? they even supported the $500 billion cut over 10 years in medicare. they stabbed you in the back, seniors. if you forget everything else i say, tear up your aarp cards. don't support them.
6:01 am
we are not the aarp. we are the next aarp. we are the american seniors association. join us. check us out. american seniors.org. keep up the fight. go back to your hometowns. keep fighting. keep the faith. god bless. >> next up is a tate are the that i've known since almost the beginning. rita grace. >> thank you kelly we love you. i thank god for each one of you here. i spent 15 years in the former soviet union not only smuggling bibles but smuggling medicines. it was the worst of the worst for socialized medicine. so i've been there and i've seen it and i've lived it. and i want you to know we need to stand strong, be encouraged. join hands with one another.
6:02 am
call our members of congress that are on our side, those in the tea party coalition. congresswoman michele bachmann, steve king, louie gomert is here. follow him down the road to repeal. what do we want to go down? the road to repeal. ok. where is that road? it's number one first street northeast right across from that supreme court. join us every day i'll be there tomorrow from 2:00 to 4:00 in prayer. every day members of the tea party, paterts, from across the nation. if you cannot be there god bless you you can atleast be in prayer. so pray for our country.
6:03 am
god bless you all. >> thank you, rita grace. all right. next from king solution, it's herman king. >> thank you. thank you. thank you. you guys are great. you know,
6:04 am
>> you were rail roaded. >> you're right. >> you know, the liberals and the establishment, they thought that because of a few raindrops that you were going to stay home today. i was in harrisburg this morning for a speech. i was in north carolina yesterday for a speech. i was in nevada last week. i have been across this country and traveling wanting to get here to be here with you to deliver a message to the people in washington, d.c. and to deliver a message to obama and his administration, we, the people, are here. we want our freedom back.
6:05 am
[cheers and applause] this is about freedom. we want our freedom back. that's what this is about. it's the freedom to choose our own doctors. freedom to choose our own health providers. freedom to choose our own treatment. freedom to choose our own health insurance plan. this isn't just about repeal of obama care -- which it is -- but this is about getting our freedom back to just be free to make our own decisions with our lives.
6:06 am
in 2006, if obama care had been in full effect, i would not be here today. many of you wouldn't be here today. in 2006, i was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. i had cancer in my colon and i had cancer in my liver. and my surgeon when i asked, well, what kind of chances do you give me? he said based upon statistics, you have about a 30% chance of survival. and i said, that means i have a
6:07 am
70% chance of dying. he said yes. i said first of all, since i can choose, i choose to be in the 30% of survival. now, imagine if a bureaucrat p got a report on their desk trying to decide if i should be approved my surgery, my chemotherapy, and they saw that this guy, herman cain, who they don't know but just see a name on a piece of paper, if they were to say he's got a 30% chance of survival, i don't think the government wants to pay for his surgery and his
6:08 am
chemotherapy. that's what obama care would do to you and me. that's what we've got to rip it up and repeal it. this is about freedom. this is about freedom of choice. so the first message that i want you to take home with you and i want you to keep in your heart because we've got a lot of work to do, is that we the people are here, we the people are still in charge. we want our freedom back. and it starts with repeal of obama care and we're going to repeal a whole lot of other things also. as i said, i've been traveling from sea to shining sea for over the last year, and even though my quest for the
6:09 am
position of president was derailed, i want you -- you're not booing me. are you? even though my quest for the position of president was derailed, i want you to know i am still on a mission and that mission is maintain control of congress, get control of the senate, and send barack obama back home. [cheers and applause] that's our mission. that's our mission. one of the thippings that i hear from some people, the
6:10 am
question i'm often asked from sea to shining sea by too many people, can we defeat barack obama? and i say to them -- snfment chanting] >> i've got another one for you. yes, we will. defeat barack obama. snfment chanting] >> and here's why. and here's why. because the american people are divided into two groups. you have the patriots like
6:11 am
yourself, if you've got the patriots and the citizens that know what's going on. and you've got that other group that i call the clue left. yes, and so it is us against the clue-left and the good news is there are more of us than there are of them. [cheers and applause] because of that and because there are more of us than them, -- by the way, do you think this many clueless come out in the rain? i don't think so. it might mess up their we've. you are the paterts. we are the real patriots that care about this country because we know what's going on, we
6:12 am
know that they're trying to take away our freedom and we are all here to make that statement that we want we want our freedom back and we're going to get our freedom back in november at the ballot box. [cheers and applause] and finally, yes, we know we need to repeal this terrible bill. and i believe that it will get repealed. because of the american people. because just like when the founding fathers started this great country, they had three basic ideals that helped to inspire this nation. life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. that's why we're all here. life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. and you see, the founding fathers had the foresight and
6:13 am
the wisdom to foresee that we might have had something like obama care shoveed down our throats. and the provisions that they made in the declaration of independence when you get past life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and if you keep on reading it says when any form of government becomes destructive of those ideals, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it. we've got some altering and abolishing to do. abolish obamacare. abolish obamacare. and we're going to alter the occupant of the white house come november.
6:14 am
so i say to all of you because the mainstream media and the liberals -- >> ah booing me? they want you to believe that we cannot do this. and i am here to tell you, stay inspired. stay inspired. that we can do this. stay inspired that we will repeal obama care. stay inspired that we are going to change washington, d.c. and i want you to stay inspired with the spirit of the bumble beee. you see, when i was in college, i learned that the bumble beis not supposed to fly. you and i know that the bumble
6:15 am
bee flies. you will see some this spring flying around. we know that the bumble bee flies because we see the bumble bee flying. but i was a mathematics and physics major in college and we studied something called the eications in motion. we study about the fact that if you take the equations of motion and you measure the arrow dynamic parameters of the bumble bee, that little fat body and those little flappy wings and measure all of those epslons and deltas and put them into the equations of motion and you run those equations of motion, the computer comes back and says the sucker can't fly. so we thought maybe we made a mistake. so we got some more helpless little bumble wees and put them in a bigger computer and faster computer ran it through the
6:16 am
equation obvious motion, and it was supposed to say that the bumble becan fly and said the sucker still can't fly. there's only one reason that the bumble bee flies. the bumble bee believes he can fly. believes we can repeal bomecare and believe we will defeat barack obama in november. god bless you. >> we're going to repeal it. yes, we will. next for town hall.com is guy
6:17 am
benson. >> i'm so lucky. i get to go directly after a very dull, uninspiring, low profile speaker. thank you guying for being here. thank you guys for staying here. i want to thalk about something we haven't touched on so far this afternoon. we've heard persuasive argument that is obama care is bad medicine. it is. we've heard that it is bad economics, it is. we've heard that it is bad law. it is and we'll know whether they agree soon enough. but this law is also something else. obamacare is indisputably bad politics for the democrats. yesterday was the two year anniversary. the president did not give a speech about his big accomplishment. that's not an accident. the white house knows full well
6:18 am
about a number of things. there's a new study out reported in the "washington post" which concludes that the 2010 election was lost for democrats because of obamacare. nancy pelosi had the gavel taken out of her hands because of the law she crammed down our throats without knowing what was in it. they've also seen the recent u.s.a. today poll which confirms that obamacare is a drag on this president's chances for reelection. they know that. they've noticed the rasmussen poll out this week that shows that 56% of the american public wants this bill repealed. and they know about the fox news poll that shows 59% of the american people want this bill repealed. but that's not all. there's a "washington post"-abc poll, two bagses of conservism
6:19 am
obviously asked what would you like to see the supreme court do with obama care? 67%, two out of every three americans said, either repeal the individual mandate or get rid of the whole thing. 67%. and gallup, the gallup organization asked, what do you think of the individual mandate? which is the central pillar of this law. without it the whole thing falls apart. 72%, according to gallup, 72% said the individual mandate is unconstitutional. think about this. this is remarkable. this is remarkable. after debating this for the better part of three years, more than 7 out of 10 americans -- not just here, across this whole country. more than seven out of ten of us believe that the central core pillar of this law violates the united states
6:20 am
constitution. so all of the statistics and all the polls that i just quoted lead us to one lesson and that lesson is we have won this debate. we have won this argument. despite years of a deliberate misinformation campaign from democrats, the president, and a lap dog obseek was media, we have won this debate. round one goes to good guys. round two is next. and this is as we learned in 2010 just winning the argument does not necessarily impact legislative outcomes. right? and so we thank and salute the house of representatives for voting for repeal already. thank you, house of representatives. [cheers and applause] every single republican and a handful of helpful democrats we thank republican leadership in the senate for forcing votes in the u.s. senate on repeal.
6:21 am
thank you for trying. but we all know it's been said by pretty much every speaker and i will say it again because it's so important. in order to get this job done, we have to doo two more things. we need a new senate. harry reid has had long enough running that body, not passing budgets, twiddling his thumbs. and of course we need a new president. and in order to achieve those goals all of us here and people who agree with us a little bit or on everything, we have to unite. we have to unite and win. and i believe we can. thank you so much for being here. take care. [cheers and applause] >> next up is alex cortez from let freedom ring. >> anyone here seen an etcha
6:22 am
sketch in the last couple of days? what are we going to do to obamacare? we're going to erase it. they say there's no young people in the tea party. i'm here to observe that's not true. the health care law is supposed to be such a marvelous thing for you. we can stay on our parents' health care until we're 26. that's really a youth ideal world. we really want to be dependent on our parents forever. i'm sure your children would love to be dependent on you until they're 50. of course not. we want to be independent. that means we need jobs. jobs. and this president wrks what has he done? he's kept his eye off the ball and passes a law that takes away your freedom instead. we don't want to be at home to eat our mom's meat love every night. we want to be independent. three out of ten young adults are forced to live at home right now because they have no other future. we need to get rid of barack
6:23 am
obama so we can bring them a better future. president obama made a lot of promises about his health care law. one he didn't make and probably should have is that he can bring families closer together because all these youth are forced to live at home instead. well, i say we make president obama one promise. that we will pledge to keep. repeal this bill. repeal this bill. repeal this bill. repeal this bill. thank you. >> thank you. now, before our next speaker we have got a little test that i need you guys to help me out with. see this thing that we're going to repeal? at the end we still have a few more speakers we're all going to tear and say repeal this bill at the same time. and we're not like those people who like to break the law and rape people and all sorts of other bad things. we're going to clean up after
6:24 am
ourselves. and what you're going to do at the end, you're going to take this, you're going to go home, you're going to write the date on it and write we will repeal this. and then you're going to put it on your refrigerator and look at it every single day because we are repealing this. we will restore our constitution. 9/12/2009 i helped organize an event and there was a lady who couldn't be here with us from california. she couldn't be here with us because she was at home fighting breast cancer. but she's here today from laguna beach tea party. please join me in welcoming linda dohr. >> i almost faced the perfect
6:25 am
storm. right after i organized the first tea party in laguna beach, california i faced terrifying news that i could have breast cancer. what i didn't realize at that terrifying moment was that my private health care plan would save me. our family had a plan known as blue cross, blue shield, and that provided me with digenostic mammograms which includes an ultra sound. and so in that spring day when my surgeon asked me do you want to hear the good news tor bad news? all i heard her say was early breast cancer, noninvasive, stage 0. and because i had the freedom to select my health care plan, i was going to be spared my life and at the very least months of chemotherapy and
6:26 am
radiation. but what if i had a government health care plan? at the end of 2009, the group that dictates what your health care was going to be, ladies and men, said women at the age of 50 could get yearly mammograms every other year. any woman under 40 that's diagnosed with breast cancer can be lethal and the older you get, the greater the chances are for breast cancer. well, this sounds like rationing. doesn't it sound like rationing to you? and that's exactly what bern dean heely said. she is the former professor at john hopkins university, the first woman to be head of the national institute of health. she said it's rationing and she told the press. and at that time i went to
6:27 am
susan g komen in southern california and i demanded that they pronounce obamacare unfit for american women. and i actually said at that particular time, i said there's something that our little group says. and that is, uncle sam, keep your mits off our tiths. but why would the task force do this? it's simple, ladies. first of all, they're sparing you from mental distress in case you have a false positive. but, according to the huffington post, three months ago they're going to rework the language so you had better understand it. you don't understand what they're trying to do for you. and secondly, the cost of
6:28 am
covering all women 40 and over and the baby boomers far outweighs the cost of saving those women's lives that might die of breast cancer. but to be fair, congress did pass and include in obamacare a provision for mammograms starting at age 40 for yearly mammograms. but let me tell you, it won't be enough because if i didn't have an ultra sound which found the breast cancer, i could be a later stage breast cancer. you'll need digenostics. and at the same time, congress, who loves -- and the president who loves this health care plan for us decided no they didn't think they wanted it. they could go ahead and have a ppo. so in the spring and early summer of 2009 with the help of
6:29 am
my doctors, i decided i have a bilateral mastectomy because obama d.a.r.e. was breathing down my neck. and not only that but i was facing medicare which meant a half trillion dollars was going to be taken out of the medicare trust fund and there would be a panel of 15 sitting around some table here in washington decide ing if linda could have surgery to cure her breast cancer or a pill because that's what my surgeon oncologist said. i would only be offered a pill with government health care. i decided with my doctors and the bilateral mactecty. and in early summer of 2009 as i was being -- this is very emotional. as i was being wheeled down the hall from the recovery room, my husband reported to me later i
6:30 am
cried out red white and blue. red white and blue. give me -- nfment chanting] . >> give me a tea party flag. and my husband wondering what the hell i was talking about after a five-hour surgery said honey, it's me john. and i said, we're still at em. and when i got to my room, and the girl that was going to take care of me for the night said unexpectedly explained i'm an unapologetic liberal but if there's a war i'm joining with linda. so today to save ourselves all of us from rationing we must
6:31 am
get rid of this now. and we stand assembled and give our voice by the first amendment and we tell the supreme court justices, no obamacare. no obamacare. >> it's a war on women. but it's not the war on women that the liberals want you to think. it's a war on every one of us and it's a fight for freedom and we are freedom fighters and we are going to keep on fighting. thank you. >> next up is the author of democracy denied and the vice president for policy at americans for prosperity. his name is phil kerpen.
6:32 am
>> first of all, thank you for standing here for a couple of hours in the rain, for a few more minutes you'll endure to prevent much, much greater pain in the future under this administration and their policies. nancy pelosi was famously asked, is the bill constitutional? and she said, are you kidding? well, are we kidding? the most conultra that draft bill embodied every corrupt deal that you could imagine to
6:33 am
get it past the finish line. the corn husker kickback the louisiana purchase the unanimous consenten for the state of connecticut the gator aid for the state of florida. it also bought off the hospitals, it also bought off the pharmaceuticals. and the corrupt deal they made with the insurance companies is pretty simple. they said look, we want to regulate you out of control tell you every single way to operate your business and if you accept it, we'll force every one in american to buy your product. we'll force them to buy your product whether they want to or not. and we'll sweeten the pot with a couple hundred billion dollars of subsidies and tax dollars. and the insurance companies took the deal and that's the bill that we've got now. it is corrupt. and the unconstitutional mandate is at the heart of how this whole thing operates. the federal government does not have the power to force us to purchase a product it has never occurred before in history and the united states supreme court
6:34 am
had better do the right thing and strike down the mandate. but when they strike down -- when they strike down the mandate, they need to go further. because if they strike down the mandate and only the mandate, all of the regulations and all the bureaucracies and all the rest of this law will destroy private health care in this country just as surely as if the mandate had stood. so they have too strike down the entire law. and if any of obama care is still intact after the supreme court decision, then we need a congress and a president that will do the right thing that will restore constitutional government that will stand up for liberty and will repeal obamacare. [cheers and applause] i've been to a lot of tea party rallies. i remember two years ago when we were out here on the capital
6:35 am
steps begging them not to pass this bill which they ignored. i remember three years ago here in washington on tax day out in front of the white house in the pouring rain, when our voices were ignored, and i'm going to do something i've never done before at a tea party i don't think any of us have, i'm going to actually have this one-time saying repeal this bill. thank you very much. fr >> next up, seaten modly from less government which is something we would all like to see. >> it's a screw. it's the new obama health care plan. my name is eric holder and i'm here to brain wash you.
6:36 am
oh, is this not the right crowd? no. i actually was going to come out and have an original line and this woman had it on her sign. which is nancy pelosi said we have to pass the bill to find out what is in it and i would like nancy and barack obama and harry reid and the democrats to read the constitution. so they'll know what's in it. he as constitutional scholar. of course barack obama knees what it is. and i would like a couple of the supreme court justices to read it as a little refresher course going into this week. one of them should read it and then immediately step aside but that's a separate issue. what we have here fundamentally is the original constitution, which hasn't changed with some amendments, guaranteed us right to life, liberty, and property. barack obama, obama care, the
6:37 am
democrats guarantee others access to all life liberty and property. and that's not what was intended as was pointed out earlier, barack obama complained that this is a negative rights constitution, not a positive rights constitution. i would like to remind him also the constitution mentions a lawyer it does not mention a doctor. so -- yes. so i'm going to be brief just because i'm going to be brief. but this is -- i'm really honored to be here especially with all these women who we're supposed to be at war with. and we are. they just didn't mean it that way. it's an honor to be here and see all you people out here and just keep this going. keep this going for seven and a half months and november of this year will be a
6:38 am
transformational change the likes of which barack obama had seen but not wanted. so thank you very much ladies and gentlemen. keep it up. >> the first time that i came to washington, d.c. for tea party patriots i met a lady named katherine who is very involved in fighting this legislation at the time it was still legislation and not actually a law. and she introduced me to a lot of people. she knows a lot of doctors, a lots of patients. she knows a lot about this policy. so please join me in welcoming from doctor-patient medical association, katherine sarks. >> thank you. three years ago, we were housing another rally here where we had doctors. but i want to start out with there's an old joke about
6:39 am
doctors and the patient comes into the doctor and he's just hunched over and having trouble walking like this and he's hunched over in his back and he goes in with a friend and he comes out and he's upright and walking like this. and his buddy says, man, that must be some doctor. he took care of you like that. and he said well what he did is he gave me a longer cain. well, i think that crmpspab is like that longer cain and it's a $2 trillion longer cain. it doesn't actually fix any of the problem. it just gives us the longer cain and charges us for it. so we are trying to work on that. it's like advertising the tvs at a great price in the store and then when you get to the store there aren't any tvs. and in marketing we call that bait and switch. that's what this bill is. it tells you you're going to have insurance coverage. it tells you you're going to be
6:40 am
enrolled in medicaid. but just try to find a doctor who is going to be around who can literally be able to afford to take care of you at those prices. now, a few years ago when we started working on this we realized -- i've been working on this since we've been fighting hillary care and we sued hillary clinton. so i've been at this a long time here. we saw starting three years ago this whole thing of pitting doctors versus patients as though we have competing interests. which isn't true. so we at doctor-patient medical association are never going to let that happen again. we are all going to work together. right? as doctors and patients to stop this. what they don't tell you about this bill is it's unfair to the middle class. because the middle class has to pay for everybody else's bill. it's like that episode of friends when they all go out to
6:41 am
dinner and split the tab and one only had soup. well, if you have ooch tiesers and a bottle of wine and you split the tab, it's ok, we don't want to tell people they can't have their bottle of wine and their appetizers. we just want them to pay their fair share. right? so people always ask me how come there aren't doctors out here? why aren't there a sea of white coats out here? you know why? because they don't want to come to rallies. they don't want to stand up here at podeyums. we've got to drag them kicking and screaming because you know what they want to do? they want to take care of their patients. they don't want to get into the politics. they want to be left alone. i'll tell you some other things they don't want to do. they don't talk about it but they call this the destruction of medicine. it's the destruction of our medicine. doom. they're taking us down the
6:42 am
doomsday when we want to go on the path to repeal. the road to repeal. but here's what doctors won't tell you so i'll do it. they don't want to spend two minutes for every minute that they see a patient. those two minutes go to government paperwork and regulations and complying with that. they don't want to complain that they spend one fourth of their time on medicare compliance. and that's before t pack is completely into effect. they don't want a government bureaucrat peaking over their shoulder telling them how to take care of you and they don't want to be forced to think of their patients as cost benefit units. they want to think of you as patients and that they work for you. and you know what? i'll tell you another thing that they are afraid to say. they're afraid to complain about money because they don't want you to think that they're just greedy rich bastards who
6:43 am
want more money. medicare pays them as low as $12 for an office visit. we pay plummers and other skilled tradesmen more than that. and they don't even get paid for an office consultation. and oh please shall we talk about ipab? the everybody knows it's patients against bureaucrats? right? the ipab panel which cannot be practicing physicians by the way will be paid more than the average doctor in places like pennsylvania and ohio. the bureaucrats are going to be paid more. president obama talks about the red pills and the blue pills and i don't remember seeing his md license. he just tries to pretend he as doctor on television and it's very interesting because all the other politicians except
6:44 am
for the few we hear from the doctors in krks all this stuff is all loadd with lawyers. let me ask you a question. when it comes to your medical care, do you want to trust the lawyer or do you want to trust the doctors? of course. and i'll tell you the last thing that doctors won't tell you is that they're quiting. they've had it. they can't do it any more. they're throwing in the towel in their independent practices and they're going to work as sal rid employees and hospitals are buying up their practices. and you know what happens when they do that? they become unionized, their politics start to change. and they start moving to the left instead of conservative. and you think they don't know that? they're trying to cultivate a whole new group of democrats to vote for them by taking away the doctors' independents and creating this pessimism. so what we are going to do is what are we going to tell them? no doom.
6:45 am
right? no doom. and if you care about this i want you to take out your cell phone sometime before the day is over and you send us a message at info at doctors and patients and you tell us my doctor works for me. all right? thank you all for coming. >> thank you. and thank you to drfment doctor-patient medical association and her colleague kelly who helped us put this event on today. they've been very helpful in the success of this event. we've got three more patriots. i know we're running long. i appreciate your patience. three more and then we're going to rip the bill, tear it out and make a walk back to the metro station passed the supreme court. so next very quickly we have tom whit mor from washington, d.c. tea party.
6:46 am
>> what a beautiful day it is because we've got thousands of patriots trots in washington, d.c. and it's raining. representative louie gomert knows a little bit about farmling. when it rains seeds grow. i know a little bit about farming. all the kids on the street call me the planter dude. like you when i come to washington i'm usually plapting the seeds of liberty. so you came here in 2009 to plant the seeds of liberty. you were discontent. you didn't like what your government was doing and it rained. and those seeds grew and they blossomed. in september of 2009 a million -and-a-half blossoms showed up on the capital ground. that's what patriot farmers can do. and 2010 you came back fwen.
6:47 am
there were hundreds and hundreds of you came through the obama care war room on the town halls of washington and you showed up again on march 20 at the capital, 45,000 people planting seeds. and in november 2010, a tsunami swept washington and we cleared out the house and we brought some conservative leadership here. you are all planter dudes. get used to it. and this is in 2012 your american spring. things are going to change this year. coming out of the constitutional convention ben franklin was asked what kind of government had they given us and he replied it's a republic, madam, if you can keep it. and that you, is you. the individuals, you collectively. we have a representative citizen government and only you can keep the stitssn in that government. you have to speak up.
6:48 am
you have to not allow yourself to be coopted. you have to support your principles. you have to share them. you have to plant the seeds of liberty. thomas jefferson said one man with courage is a majority. meaning men with courage and women stand up. otherless follow. you're not alone in this. look around you. you have plenty of help. only if you choose to exercise your voice collectively are you going to reap the seeds of your liberty. i tell you that it's time to tell your politicians that excuses are the nails that built the house of failure. and you're tired of seeing them let america fail. failing to enact the house bills, failure to balance the budget, failing to tell the truth, failing to restore jobs, failing to restore the economy,
6:49 am
failing to live up to their promises. and it's time to get angry. it's time for you to let them know what you think. it's time for you to tell them i'm madder than hell and i'm not going to take it any more. come on. i'm madder than hell and i'm not going to take it any more. let's have it. we're madder than hell and we're not going to take it any more. now, hang on to that feeling, bag it, bottle it, box it up, take it home. share it with your friends and family and colleagues. reap a better america together. you have a duty to do that because you're thomas jefferson's majority each one of you. you are the conscience of america. now, i have one question to ask. who decides? and who desides what happens to obamacare? and what are we going to do together?
6:50 am
what are we going to do together? i'm getting old. what can i tell you? thank you. god bless all of you and god bless our great u.s.a. >> thank you, tom. next we have from cleveland tea party and one of our state coordinators from ohio, ralph king. >> patriots, this week pep they're going to be looking at obamacare. the state of ohio in this last election just came out with a mandate against the forced health care insurance in obama care. all 88 counties. all the democrat counties. with a mandate vote rejected
6:51 am
obamacare. we need you guys to reject obama care. but here's the thing. it wasn't because of the great speakers and it wasn't because of the leaders that ohio did that. there's a bunch of people from ohio out in the crowd today. those grass roots people are the ones that took it to the doorstep on obama care. when we leave here today, instead of singing and preaching to the choir we need you to go out and you need to be the coryuss to america. you need to take this to the people. understand, over 230 years ago -- i went to public school -- our founding fathers looked back at the forefathers of our country and why they came here and what really started this country. it was personal property
6:52 am
rights, and religious freedom. obama care destroys both of them. this is not about health care. it never has been. we've been saying that it feels pretty good to be right. doesn't it, people? this is a direct attack on everything that the united states of america stands for. they will take this bill and under the guise of health care you see them going after your religious freedom. under the guise of health care they will go after what you eat. they will go after the air. they will go after the water. we need to repeal this bill. we need to send a message to the supreme court. listen and respect the constitution. people, repeal the bill.

>> and our last speaker -- and remember we said one more thing to do, two more after this, is brad shuler, who is from north carolina. >> you people are a beautiful sight. you represent america's finest. and if she can be saved it's folks like yourselves that are going to do it. my name is brad shuler. i came from north carolina today to advocate for the thousands of innocent american medical patients who don't have a voice in this and are threatened with destruction. for me, this is personal. but in time, you all will know someone who will need medical excellence in order to survive. shortly after this farce they called a health care bill passed, john boehner,
6:54 am
appropriately yelled out to guilty members of congress, did you read the bill before you passed it? hell no you didn't. well, it's been two years since that disgraceful vote and john boehner's hell no i think best describes what we're trying to communicate today. we are currently in the setup phase to a great american tragedy. nobody has felt the pain yet that this decision will yield. once its fult implementation is upon us, many innocent lives will be destroyed and we will forever be changed as a nation. this does, after all, appear to be the end game here, the fundamental destruction of the great eth civil society that has ever existed. this is good versus evil. and all this chaos we americans are left with four questions i think we must now ask ourselves. does this moment here and now
6:55 am
have to be our pinnicle? the high watermark on america? the most exceptional society in the course of human history? no, it doesn't. is this the moment in time where we are no longer strong enough and people to wave the tyranny mounting against us for many decades now? no, it isn't. have we lost the fortitude that is necessary and required of the people to be able to enjoy the god-given freedoms that we have here in america? no, we haven't. i think we can all agree that as americans we have enjoyed many blessings with the most parent one having been the finest medical system to have ever existed in all of human history. and now here we are seemingly as the last line of defense against this imminent danger to our people. yes, the burden is squarely on the american people now. to protect liberty and freedom
6:56 am
for future generations of young americans. and i will call this a code red. and so now we must face the fourth and final question. with no easy way out, we will have to answer it now. we can wait no longer. question four. are we really going to allow our medical system to just fade away and become another meed oakor socialist leftover to be tossed on to the trash heap of human history? no, we aren't. it is our responsibility to challenge this. thank you for standing up. thank you for caring. never give up. and to you all, god speed. >> thank you brad shuler.
6:57 am
all right. this bill is horrible taking over our freedom we are not going to let that happen. i say power to the people. this is a cancer in our government. obamacare is a cancer. time to rip repeal. congressman gomeert would you show me how to get back over to the metro and the car and the bus, please? >> i will show you the best way to get to where the taxies are and the metro and maybe your car. let's just saunter up this way. all right? >> and lisa is going to sing as we head out. >> please join me.
