profitable to those that pick the ads. it isn't doing the job. a lot of people to not even watch tv anymore. of us talk about the issue omitting the moral and social issues. they are the issues that are costing us so much money. they are the issues that are causing the fiscal problems. take the matter of the decline in marriage in this country. we used to have a country where we had -- a great country that was built on the stable traditional family. the father, a provider, protector. the mother, homemaker. parents taking over their own children. now we have children coming into this world without a father. handicap torrible them but it is a big cost to the

american taxpayers. the heritage foundation has made a list of 79 different problems that those people who are now dependent on government for all living part of their expenses. they are not all the little children. we have to take care of the children. but it is a good part of them. the heritage foundation found that of these 79 programs, there are 12 programs that are handing out food, 12 agencies that are doing housing subsidies, 10 other agencies are doing various kinds of social services, nine are doing educational handouts at various times, eight agencies that handout real cash, three that pay utility bills, those that thate child care -- two

handle child care. i am not sure which is the agency that gives out 3 cell phones, but you know they do that too. this is a terrible cost. 48% of the american people who are dependent in whole or in part on handouts for the government -- on handouts from the government for their ordinary living expenses. i grew up during the great depression, we did not have any kind of handout. we turn out to be the greatest generation. [applause] nation ofwant to be a people who are dependent on government. obama talks a lot about the social issues. todoes everything he is told do. he comes out for a daycare. i call it babysitting. through it from birth

to the garden and the first grade. he is trying to establish a national curriculum that will be taught not only in all the public schools but eventually in the private schools, too. that is not what we want. that is not the kind of country we want. the establishment is trying to give us a lot of bad advice, like we should go for comprehensive immigration reform. comprehensive is a synonym for amnesty. "reform" is another word for amnesty. all of them will be democratic votes because many of them are coming in very poor and pay no attention to the federal law that says you must be financially able to take care of yourself before you come into this country. of then there is the matter national security issues.

office because i was unhappy with the direction of new york state. the overtaxing, the reckless spending, the lack of ethics and need for accountability, the antithesis of conservatism. we made some progress over the past two years. in the new york state assembly, republicans are outnumbered 107 to 43. our most important role as a .inority is to push back with legislation to expand abortion to the third trimester , minimal wage increases to the consumer price index, ban any and all natural gas tilling, finance clinical campaigns using taxpayer dollars, and probably the biggest attack on taxpayers, a push to adopt the new york state dream act to give taxpayer-funded tuition assistance to illegal immigrants.

on friday night you heard my cuban brother from another mother said marco rubio talked about how student loan debt is crippling our youth. like senator rubio's parents, mine came to america with nothing. they worked multiple jobs, sacrificed greatly devote me through college, making me the first in my family to earn a degree. i later worked full-time to obtain an mba. new york state recently eliminated the tuition assistance program for graduate students altogether. instead of making restoration of the program a priority, priority of some is to pay for the education of illegal immigrants. and that, my friends, is a slap in the face to every hard- working, taxpaying american citizen and legal immigrant in our state. to take resources

i represent the 35th house district in west bi-god virginia. i'm john mccuskey. the future truly is bright for our party. i hope everybody realizes that. most virginians live their lives by conservative principles, but they have been held captive by voting patterns and big government. voters of my state said, enough. they elected me, and a large number of republicans, the most significant gains since 1928. wife wendy, who is my campaign manager and life manager and so many other things, helps me knock on over 10,000 doors. or is no better way to get to know my constituents, and no better way for them to get to know me. also rose more money than any

other delegate in west virginia. . only won by 40 votes this is a good reminder that conservatives can have an impact at all levels of government, state and national. everything you do makes a huge difference. i believe we can start an american renaissance, but it has to start at home. we must rededicate ourselves to three things. we must prioritize the economy, and power energy growth, reform education. i believe we are starting for leadership -- starving for leadership. i believe revitalization must be addressed on the state and national level. as conservatives, or identity has become lost amidst diverging messages. we need laserlike focus on the economy. we need to analyze every proposal in light of, will this get america back to work? we need to get people working

by reducing the government's role in creation of jobs. my state's motto, mountaineers are always free, which is a delicate means to me that we need to limit government and create more workers independence. in west virginia and so many other states, this means treating a level playing field for all businesses, regardless of their union status. west virginia is the perfect ground for our national principles. west virginians are fiscally conservative, we have the best rainy day fund in the nation, but nonetheless, employment has in my state.ed when liberals are the cause of the low economy, they seem to blame conservatives. i don't understand that. in west virginia come our legislature votes every day. i'
