the ability to strip p.i.i. for information that leads to the n.s.a. don't you do that today? >> i would think we could do that in an automated fashion. one of the reasons why i would want to have a discussion about exactly what kind of information we're talking about and i can build until the protections in terms of the messenger cal even if a company doesn't have the capability today but say, hey, i want this. it it's going to give it to you. you have the ability to strip out i think we could that. in past conversations that's -- at least what the nebraska told us. myory e only fear is -- and again this is the billingest debate. you want exens for volunteer and the standards are right if they are in fact, in good faith trying to provide a source code ithout p.i.i. when
3:17 am
accidentally and it could happen that p.i. gets through. you'd want the n.s.a. to have a system to strip that data bates which is easier for you tow do. i would argue. then the thousands of companies trying to share malicious source code that may have riginated in russia, or some crime element e element. i just want to make sure we have an open discussion about what that looks like and why there aren't concerns about limiting the number of partis paints. it adds more vulltiality for the whole system. you are save by the bell. the vote, the close shows zero. i want to thank you for your country. the i hope you'll take back as a

3:20 am
younger people into the caucus to become hopefully the future leaders. one of the things they dernsi believe with all my heart and soul, you to know when to leave. nancy doesn't feel that this is the time to leave. many thought she might stay for this common year. but when i look around is anybody really ready to relace that. and i give hear lot of credit for what she's been able to do. but i think it's fine that the leaders, you know, stop looking at who's going to fill my spot. we're all replaceable. there might be some bumps on the road but i do always believe that young every people can take our spot with fresh ideas and new ways of doing

things. i see nothing wrong with that. that's a normal progression. >> c-span interviews with retiring congressional members and nsin tom petry caroline mccarthy. >> here are a few of the comments we recently received if our viewers. >> i just have to tell you that these people in person, to hear them have the panel discussion on on congressional hearing. it is so important to -- i'm context and the to listen to it in its entirety. i really like, you know,

will be a final nuclear agreement. as we go into this pivotal weekend and look forward to the money forth in what may or may ot be announced -- to the 24th in what may or may not be announced -- there are dynamics. there is of course the congressional dynamics. the domestic, political dynamic is. how will both the president's onstituents and folks in washington, as well as domestic forces inside iran treat this eal? how will they react? what will that -- how will that play out for those trying to have a deal at home? what does a nuclear agreement ean for the middle east? what does it mean for that challenges that confront the united states as well as iran? how will this deal impact those challenges?
