[applause] senator cruz: now, to our friends in the media, i say that somewhat tongue in cheek. but, if you think about it, imagine traveling thousands of miles in the blazing sun. you are soaring across the rio grande, and the first thing that you see is 90,000 irs agents. you would turn around and go home, too. [applause] senator cruz: some of you guys may be thinking that all of this makes sense to me. it is basic common sense. live within your means. don't encrypt our kids and grandkids -- don't bankrupt our kids and grandkids. follow the constitution. but, can it be done? can we do it?

scripture tells us that there is nothing new under the sun. i think where we are today is very, very much like and late 1970's. the same failed economic policies, the same misery, stagnation, and malaise. the same necklace and naive foreign policy. the exact same countries, russia, and iran, openly laughing at and mocking the president of the united states. that that analogy gives me so much hope and optimism? because we know how that story ended. country,s this millions of men and women rose reaganbecame the revolution. [applause] senator cruz: it did not come

from washington. washington despised ronald reagan. by the way, if you see a candidate who washington embraces, run and hide. [laughter] senator cruz: it came from the american people, and it turned this country around. we went from misery and stagnation to booming economic growth, to millions lifted out of poverty into prosperity and the american dream. we went from our hostages languishing in iran, to winning the cold war and tearing the berlin wall to the ground. why am i so optimistic? because the same thing is happening again. all over this country, men and women are waking up. when we launched this campaign, the new york times promptly opined, ted cruz cannot win. because the washington elites despise him.

i kind of thought that was the whole point of the campaign. [laughter] [applause] senator cruz: look, if you think that things are going great in washington, that we need to keep headed in the same basic direction, just kind of fiddle around the edges, then i am not your guy. i'm a other hand, if you think that washington is fundamentally broken, that there is a bipartisan corruption of career politicians in both parties who get in bed with the lobbyists and special interests and grow and grow and grow government, and we need to bring power out of washington and back to we, the people, that is what that campaign is all about. [applause]

senator cruz: the new york times continued and said ok. maybe, the grassroots will be with ted cruz. but he is not going to have any money. the money is all controlled by the lobbyists and special interests in washington and all of them are backing other candidates in this race. well, just a couple of weeks ago all of the campaigns filed their fundraising reports. out of 17 republican candidates, do you know which campaign has the most money in the bank? we do. [applause] senator cruz: together we have raised over a $6.5 million, from 26.5 million-- dollars.

we have more money than jeb bush does. [applause] if i would have told you six months ago that we were going to have 3.5 million more dollars than jeb bush, you would have said that i was parked at the moon crazy. but, do know how that happened? that came from over 360,000 contributions. people all over the country cruz.org. ed [laughter] senator cruz: it is ted cruz.org. our average contribution is $73. that is the power of the grassroots. i want to close with this. freedom is not

some abstract concept. that we read about in school books. freedom is real and it is personal to each and every one of us. it is our families. for me, i think about my mom. my mom is irish and italian. born in lincoln, delaware, working-class, blue-collar family. her mom was the second youngest of 17 kids. they were irish catholic. [laughter] senator cruz: they did not know what else to do on a saturday night. [laughter] mom became they first person and her family ever to go to college. now, my grandfather, my mother's father, was a difficult man. he was a drunk. and he did not think that women should be educated. and he certainly did not think that his daughter should be the first person in the family to go to college. well, my mom stood up to her father, which was not an easy

thing to do, and she went to rice university, graduated in 1956 with a degree in math. [applause] senator cruz: she went to work at shall -- shell as a computer programmer. if you want to talk about two industries, oil and gas, and computer science, neither of which was welcoming to women, she was at the intersection of both. she is to tell me how she very deliberately did not learn how to type. thesaid, look, it was 1950's. i understood the world i was living in. she said, i did not want to be walking down the hallway and have some man stopped me and say, sweetheart, would you type this for me? very, wanted to smile very sweetly and with a clean conscience sake, i would love to help you out, but i don't know

how to type. i guess you're going to have to use me as a computer programmer instead. my mom turned 80 asked year. a woman of incredible strength of character and perseverance, and she has been a best friend to me my whole life. she is an incredible grandmother to our two little girls, caroline and catherine. then i think about my dad. my dad was born in cuba. he grew up in cuba. as a teenager, he fought in the cuban revolution. he was in prison, he was tortured. he fled cuba in 1957 and came to america at just 18 years old. he cannot speak any english. he had $100. sound into his underwear. he got a job washing dishes. he may $.50 an hour.

he worked full-time, paid his way through school, he and my mom went on to start a small business. today, my dad is a pastor and he travels the country preaching the gospel. my whole life, my dad has in my hero. but, you know what i find most incredible about his story? it is how commonplace it is. today, wef us here have a story just like that in our backgrounds. some of us, it is us. others, it is our parents, others it is our great, great, great grandparents. but what ties americans together, each and every one of us, as we are the children of those who risked everything for freedom. and that is why i am so optimistic. because the fundamental dna of what it means to be an american is to value freedom and opportunity above all else. dad used to kid, my

say to me over and over again, when we faced oppression in cuba, i had a place to flee to. here,lose our freedom where do we go? that, is why all of us are here tonight. because we are not willing to go quietly into the night. we are not prepared to give up on our children and grandchildren. and mark my words, if we stand together, if we stand as one and defend liberty, if we defend the constitution, if we stand up as we, the people, we can bring back and restore that last, best hope for mankind. that shining city on a hill that is the united states of america. thank you. [applause]

senator cruz: thank you for coming. thank you. larry, thank you. answer or'm happy to dodge any question that you would like. [laughter] senator cruz: yes, sir. there is two parts to this, because one kind of goes with the other.

how will you get to closing the borders if we have a problem like europe is having? it is a long time between now and a one. what would you suggest that we do about it to get ready? senator cruz: a great question. the question was, if i win, how will we actually secure the borders? you have had politicians talking about doing it, and if you actually look at federal law, federal law is quite robust. the problem is that we have had far too many political leaders who are unwilling to exercise the political will to carry it out. listen, i represent the state of texas, i've and significant time down on that border on this 1200 miles that we share with mexico. it is not secured right now, and it makes no sense. we need to do is we need to triple the border patrol. we need to increase fourfold the aircraft. we need to put in place fences and walls, we need to put in place a strong biometric exit

and entry system. we need to put in place ace truong -- a strong verification system. most of that is existing federal law. the problem is that right now we have a president ignores federal law. that will change on day one, and i commit to as president that we will devote every resource possible to securing the borders . we know how to do it, we just need a president that makes it a priority and says we are going to get it done. [applause] >> under our current and ministration, how we provide american youth change that we can believe in? senator cruz: great question. how can we provide american youth change that we can believe in? if you look at young people right now, if you sat down and tried to design an agenda to hammer the living daylights out of young people, it would be

difficult to come up with a more effective agenda than the obama economic agenda. let me make three simple point in that. number one, for 6.5 years, we have been tracked in stagnation. stagnant economic growth. young people are coming out of school with student loans up to their eyeballs scared of being able to get a job. if i do get a job, will i build any skills? can work toward a career? i understand that firsthand. when i was in high school, my parents went bankrupt. i had to take $100,000 in school and to pay my way through school. i worked two jobs. i just did a my lens five years ago. if we get back to booming economic growth, the kind that always follows when we put in place tax reform and regulatory reform, the kind of growth we saw in the 1980's under ronald reagan, the kind of growth we saw in the 1960's under jfk, the kind of growth we saw in the 1920's under calvin coolidge. it means that young people come out of school and have two or

three or four or five job opportunities. you have a brighter future. number two, obamacare. one of the easiest ways to understand obamacare. it is a massive wealth transfer from young, healthy people to everybody else. and young people, one of the reasons that obamacare has plummeted approval rating with young people, if they realize that holy cow, i have to pay for this thing? number three, our national debt. 6.5 years, it has gone from 10 trillion to $18 trillion. larger than our entire economy. who is going to pay for all of that? our parents like and grandparents went out to vegas, took a credit card in our -ied it up and then stuck as with the bill. young people are the ones that if we do not stop that are doing, the next generation will not spend the coming decade

working to meet the challenges of the future. the priorities of the next generation. our kids will spend the rest of their lives working to pay off the debt of their deadbeat parents and grandparents. no generation in history has ever done that to their kids. our parents not to to us. their parents not due to them. so i think in terms of obamantive message, the economy is not working and it is hammering and people. here is another part of it. it is style. you have to communicate in a way -- would it kill publicans to crack a joke? [laughter] senator cruz: i actually think with some it's sort of might. you have to have some fun. i'm reminded of a little over a year ago. i was out in california. arrived, these i posters began appearing all over los angeles. they were posters of my head on a shirtless body. it was ripped.

it was covered in tattoos. a giant eagle on my chest. 26 shooters on my abdomen. which were a perfect eight pac. winston churchill on my right bicep. which was huge. a cigarette dangling out of my mouth. legend,e it, the blacklisted and loving it. [applause] now i have to tell you, we had nothing to do with these. this is the local street artist who just put them up. we decided, let's have some fun with it. so we posted on facebook a story about these posters. and we said, for whatever reason, these posters have begun appearing all over hollywood. i have to say, i noticed a glaring error. i don't smoke cigarettes.

[laughter] [applause] senator cruz: and people laughed and they enjoyed it. young people laughed and shared it with their friends. that is that we have to do, is we have to energize young people that there is a better future than the one that is right now facing us. yes, sir? senator, there is a power plant not more than 10 miles from here, and it supplies power -- farm,t server part and has a lot of jobs and southwest iowa. and under obama's regulation which is probably unconstitutional, that plans would probably be closed. power would go up 200% or three and percent. my question to you is, first off, what is your policy on oil and gas and energy, and number two, which urged the state of

iowa to declare itself is ensuring from this regulation? [laughter] [applause] senator cruz: i like the way you think. to quote the movie "german cguire" youjerry m had me at hello. in terms of energy, we should pursue all of the above. we should pursue everything. we should pursue oil and gas and coal and nuclear and wind and solar and biofuel and ethanol and all across the board we ought to use all of the tremendous resources that we have. you look at what this administration has done, and it is waging a war on energy. it has waged a war on oil and gas. it has waged a war on coal, something fierce. when president obama was just elected, he promised that by the end of his tenure he wanted to

bankrupt every coal plant in america. it is one of the few instances that he was actually telling the truth. this makes no sense at all. you look at the so-called clean power regulation, and it is number one, utterly lawless. it is not connected in any way, shape, or form to federal statute. it is an illegal paragraph, and i will tell you as president, we will resend it. what i encourage iowa to stand up and fight, my old boss, before was in the senate, i was the solicitor general of texas. as the chief lawyer for the state in the supreme court. my old boss was great at it. then he was the attorney general. he would describe his job and say i wake up every day, go to work, sue president obama, and then i come home. [laughter] [applause] senator cruz: so, yes, i would

advise i like to fight on every front. i would tell you my number one priority and the senate is economic growth. my number one priority as president will be economic growth, getting back to the booming growth that lives the opportunity for every american. [applause] senator cruz: we will do two more questions. >> the reason college tuition is so high is because government guarantees the loan, and if so, what are you going to do to end government guaranteed student months? senator cruz: it is a great question. you would like his shirt and the fossilt says, i heart fuels. i'm pretty sure that shirt is prohibited by the epa. you have a system where the government is now guaranteeing student months, and it has taken over student months from the private actor. it has shut down every private

offer a student loans and it has monopolized it into washington. that creates all of the pressures and higher education to drive tuition higher and higher and higher. a second think obama and menstruation is doing is it is trying to drive out of business for profit colleges and universities. it is targeting them for persecution. apparently, because in the obama dictionary the word prophet is a -- profit is a four letter word. school not trust any that would think that their only four letters and profit. the way you drive down college tuition is to create more competition and create an environment where young people have a multitude of options rather than a government controlled monopoly. that is a we need to do is try to empower young people do have a better future going forward. that, right now, is not happening in the obama

administration. last question. yes, sir. when george dubya bush got into office, bill clinton went after gun rights and george w. bush got in there and nothing happened. what are you going to do about not only a second amendment, but also the first amendment? that might be exaggerated, but what are you going to do to lock the constitution and so people or people going to say shut up and don't even bother? [applause] thank you, sir, when a question. i've spent most of my adult life fighting to defend the constitution and the bill of rights. when i was 13 -- 14 years old, i

got involved in a group called free enterprise group in houston. i toured the state of texas speaking about the constitution. i want to stand up to fight and defend free-market is in the constitution. i was kind of weird kid. i used to use this as an example. every political candidate if you go to their website, they have

an issues page. a series of issues. just about every republican candidate says almost word for word, the exact same thing. on the second amendment, there is a right to their in a republican primary. in texas or in iowa which is i support the second amendment. must you are clinically insane, that is the right answer. now i like to point out a few of my with type one of the first things people notice is we do not have an issue page. i actually don't say i support the second amendment. i don't say a word about what is hidden in the deep recesses of my heart. what we haven't said is a paid label revision record.

what it says is for too long politicians of said one thing and another. everyone of us should have any candidate you say you believe this will show me. what if you stood up and fought asrida for it one of you,? the scriptures say, don't know them by their need. status of fighting or conservative: winning national. when he gets the second that the when i say is solicitor general of texas, i will listen 31 date in front of the u.s. supreme court defending the individual might not right to keep and bear arms and we won.

in 2010, the nra awarded me there reading fund award given each year to one of the leading others of the amendment entire country. 2013 i led the fight on the second amendment to stop their unconscious is going to and we defeated every proposal on the or the senate. [applause] >> that's the reason why haswners of america formally endorsed me in the presidential race. because they said look there a lot of good republicans who talk about the second amendment that nobody else has the record of walking the walk in writing to defend our second amendment rights and bear arms.

said: something you earlier today with a bloomberg news and you said you had taken past fieldome of the campaigns, what have you learned about previous campaigns and how are you applying that? sen. cruz: one of the big failures of one of the big failures of previous campaigns is that burn rate area they hemorrhage cash to. money goes out the door like crazy. they'll ask are you going private? as a yes absolutely. the 737 says southwest airlines on the side of it. usually i'm in the a group. sayingthe things i love a bunch of mine editors private.

that money has been it's why our campaign has more money in the bank than any single republican candidate area we are very herbal. we're trying to say that every penny we raise. we're trying to save everything we raise to actually's and communicate of the optimistic hopeful conservative message to host: you area now third in iowa at the expense of donald trump. seeing isat we're conservatives coalescing behind our campaign it's a very encouraging development.

historically have you looked past republican races there is typically been a moderate lane and a conservative one and in past releases there's been early on one consensus moderate and all the money gets behind the candidate. conservatives there are a bunch of us and nobody has any money and they like cats and dogs. the past the moderate when the and then goes on to lose the general because he can't and that turned conservatives out about. you look at the moderate lane there are a number of candidates competing like crazy. they are fighting like cats and dogs just like conservatives usually do but on the conservative side you look at institute dropped out both good strong conservatives what we are is themore and more conservative lane coalescing behind our campaign and i think the reason is simple like that with what i call campaign conservatives.

people talk good game on the trail but have not walked the walk in there looking for consistent conservatives someone who is the same yesterday today and tomorrow area think that's the reason we're getting so much energy and excitement is that i'm the only candidate in this race who has been a consistent conservative episcopal social conservative. i have a proven record. i think that's why were sing some of grassroots energy. we have a number of people want to talk to you. christian is joining us from the republican line from virginia. caller: hello senator cruz. ronald reagan is probably my biggest hero as far as politics go. just have to say you have

we have wage stagnation. we need to fight to bring back the kind of economic growth that started the under ronald reagan in the 1980's. since do is always stand with the working men and women and not what i call the washington cartel which is the special interests and lobbyists and career politicians in washington that both parties get in bed with. we need to break the washington cartel and bring power back to the people. you asked about social security. bulwark of our society and i in myit's yours possible view social security should follow for old. there one for seniors

should be no changes whatsoever. we have ordered their financial affairs counting on the buses and we need to honor those commitments. for younger workers. i'm 44 years old. it's hard to find someone my age who believe social security will be there for us. that presents a real opportunity for reform when you have an who thinks it's not likely to be there. -- for there should be younger workers we should gradually increase the those two age area changes alone and social security back.

when i bought it, i bought it from a smart group but the market crashed. you know all about the crash. i got it for the right price. i signed for x dollars. $170 million. i said maybe i can make a better deal before i close. so, i went into closing with ivanka. ivanka, right? i went in with ivanka and i said watch, let's see we can make $20 million. i have a contract -- i never told this story actually. i have a contract for $170 million. i had all these good-looking, brilliant young man in front of me and they all wore suspenders without the jacket. they were all like tom cruise. you could not get better central

casting. all of that media -- look at the media back hethere. they're all right. i will tell you some media stories. they're central casting, red suspenders, handsome, beautiful, smart. they went to harvard, stanford. i said, i want to show up to my daughter. does that make sense? i have this great daughter. she said, dad, they will not cut you. i said, that's right. but that contract, does not mean we cannot make it better. so, what happens -- i tell these guys there is no way i'm paying $170 million. i'm not doing it. they said you have to pay it. you have to pay it. beautiful guys. you have to pay it. i said there is no way.

impressed. the actual number after taxes -- i actually save $20 million. i said ivanka, wjust bought the furniture. that is very nice. i had a decision to make. we have this great place. i had a decision. legendary place. the decision was do we fix it, do we fix it? [booing] chanting] trump, we want trump, we want trump. usa.usa, mr. trump: you know the saddest part? you have people like that. there is a total of probably three over there and five over

there. and they will be the story tomorrow, not the thousands of people that love our country. [cheering] amazing. it is amazing. no, no. i had an incident like this two weeks ago. we had 9000 people in an arena and we had five people protesting. they became the story. too bad. they're gone. have little will pockets. it is a shame. it just shows -- we have thousands of people and you will have three or four people protesting and then tomorrow morning, protesters against trump. thedecision was do we get b job, c job, what do we do?

wegave it the a+ job and built something we really love. and, what happened? i will let them get out. go ahead. get them out. you people know -- a lot of you are from the area. i said we have to do it right. we basically, as you know, new clubhouse is, this room is new. this room is one of the great ballrooms. we have five ballrooms, 700 rooms, the golf courses are world-class. we wanted to do it right. a man came up to me outside. he had not been near in 25 years. it was very interesting. i loved that he was an older fellow. he said, you know, mr. trump, this place is met deficit. by the negative is it. magnificent. david is our president and general manager. he has done an incredible job. this is now the hottest resort anywhere in the united states. it is bringing tremendous business to the miami area.

it has become the hottest place. tour just gavea us a 10 year extension which is what they never do. they never do that. so, it has become a really, really successful place. this gentleman came up to me and it was so simple and so beautiful. he said i have not been back here in 25 years. it was in very bad shape. i actually bought it out of of people it of people out know. i said that is nice. you know, mr. trump, if you could do the same for the united states as you did here, it would be unbelievable, unbelievable. [cheering] true. it was great. i thought it was great. i thought it wast was great.

in its own way, doing it for the united states might be easier than what we had to do here as crazy as it sounds. that is what we have to do. we owe $19 trillion. we are desperate. our infrastructure is in such trouble, such trouble. we talk and talk and talk. the evening ends and we go home and go to sleep. this is more fun, right? you know, they used to call it the silent majority, but they don't use that anymore because it is no longer silent because we will not take this crap anymore. we will not take it anymore. we are not going to take it anymore. so, it is true. you know, for years you have not heard that term silent majority. some people thought it was politically incorrect. i started realizing it is not silent. everywhere i go, we have the biggest crowd. we left oklahoma.

20,000. dallas, texas, mark cuban's arena. we had 20,000. 20,000.alabama, i go to iowa, new hampshire, south carolina -- unbelievable crowds. there is just love in the room. it is incredible. [cheering] you know, there is nothing silent about it. we are sick and tired of incompetent people running our government. [cheering] so, i did something today that was quite exciting, although i think owning this is more exciting. i did something today that was interesting and it got a lot of press. they have these things called super pac's.

nobody knows what they are. it is the dumbest thing i've ever seen. all of the candidates have super pac's. led by investors, lobbyists, and special interests, countries. when you wonder why are r politicians make such bad deals with foreign countries and other deals, it is because they are totally controlled by people that benefit even if our country does not benefit. is true it iit is true. the super pac's are a disaster. you have jeb bush -- has anybody ever heard of jeb bush? [booing] bush, he has $125 million -- honestly, i don't

think it will help him. i will be honest. if it helps him, i cannot figure the whole deal out. i used to be one of those guys that would give a lot of money. i know the lobbyists. when they come up to me and say we want to give you money -- when you go to number one, everybody wants to give you money. they don't care so much about anything other than the companies they represent. that don't care so much -- some do, but most don't -- they want influence, power, they want to take these people like little puppets and say you do as i told you because i gave you $5 million. nobody is giving me anything, ok? anything. nothing. [cheering] and, so what happened is i noticed over the last couple of weeks, everybody is forming a trump super pac.

i thought we had four and then we had five, then eight, then nine or 10. i don't know. are are the they good or is it a scam because some of them i assume are like legitimate people. they love trump and will do whatever they are supposed to do. and others, i would imagine they probably pay themselves salaries. who the hell knows what happens with all the money? all i know is we have not gone any of this money. i feel guilty about that. i feel foolish. we wrote notices and notifications, sent them all to the government, to everybody that we do not want super pac's. we don't want anything to do with them. to close them up ideally. [cheering]

hopefully, to give the money back, whatever money is raised. two young, nice-looking guys, big fans of trump, i think. and they opened the art of the deal super pac. we are having a new book come out on november 3. i think it is going to be great. the art of the deal super pac. they look very good. you know, probably it is true. i don't want it. i want any help. i don't want any help. people send in small donations. one woman sent $4.50. another woman -- $50. one,i love because, number you cannot send it back. how do you send a letter back to a woman who loves the country, who is giving a lot of money?

that is like giving $1 million. how do you sent $7.50 back? there is no letter you can write. there is no letter you can write to that woman to say we don't want your money. that is the only thing. it comes in and that is the only stuff we want. we don't want any of the big money. today, i started getting big press because nobody has ever done it. i disavowed all super pac's. i don't want any of them. strongly whenry we wrote the letter, i told my attorney's and everybody that i think every candidate running right now for the presidency should disavow their super pac's. they should disavow their super pac's. you know, and the super pac's

are really running the campaign. they are running the campaign. for instance, i hear in iowa there will be a merger of ben carson. i like him. he has two of them. they have been running his campaign. he doesn't hardly have to go there. i? saying what ia m i think they should not be allowed to do that. i don't know if they are allowed. how the u.s. super pac's running campaigns? when you think of it -- you have these super pac's with millions and millions of dollars and they are running a campaign, do you think those people that are running those super pac's and those people that are giving tremendous money to the super pac's, do you think they control those candidates 100%? the answer is yes. yes. and, i don't want any confusion.

i said it. people are calling well you have all the super pac's. i don't even know who these people are. here is what is happening. all candidates disavow their super pac's. run for office and be proud, but disavow your super pac's. drop them, drop them. [cheering] ideally, give the money back to the people that put it up there. we will see what happens, we will see what happens. to me, it is very important. the super pac thing is a very terrible thing happening in this country. a terrible, terrible thing and it is controlling our politicians like puppets. bush had somebody the other day going to earlberlin, germany to pick up money. what do you think germany gets out of that money? other people have tremendous amount of money put up and we

cannot have it anymore. we have to bring honesty back to politics, folks. got to do it. [cheering] so, -- [crowd chanting] >> we want trunk, we want trunk, trump.p, we want mr. trump: a very interesting thing happened, very sad. you know the president is very dishonest. not all of them. not all of them. look at those cameras. look at those suckers. they are all covering. they are all covering. you are covering trump and and they will be with us tomorrow in jacksonville.

it is going to be wild. come back up. it is going to be wild. so, a crazy thing happened. i love polls. everybody knows i do. i said i wonder what would happen if trump was not number one in the polls. somebody said if he was not, maybe he would drop out. believe me, i'm not dropping out of anything. never, ever. i'm not dropping out of anything. [cheering] a bige poll came out, one. post" that hasinon me killing everybody. 32 -- you notice every week, i started at three. that was slightly before iran the is nobody thought because i

was going to run. i thought i don't with politics all my life. i started at 3% and went to a now as ofent to 12%, friday, nationally 32%. and another one came out, another one came out last week, reuters. 33% to 15%. 15% is ben carson. he is in second place. trumpept saying, oh, if ever loses -- i'm getting spoiled. from the time i ran -- when i was at 12%, they said, all right, he has peaked. then it goes to 16%, 17% -- that is his plateau. he has plateaued. they love that word. he has plateaued. the next week, it went to 21%.

that is it. by the way, 21% is not that bad when you have 17 people. cardplayer, i will rest on 21 with 17 people. i'm not losing. it went to 25%. this is it. these talking heads are among the dumbest human beings i have ever seen. some of them. and some of them are coming along. some of them were so terrible and nasty and now they are coming along. they are saying a poll came out with 81% to win. i didn't know that. who would have thought? rasmussen. the rasmussen -- i'm walking up here and one of my people stop me and said i'm trying to make a speech. they wanted to talk to me.

rasmussen just said nationally, i'm beating hillary. it just came out. [cheering] it just came out. what's the beef? now, i said i'm glad they stop ped me. anyway, a bad thing happened. so, look, i just wrote down a few of them. i'm winning new hampshire by like 22 points. new hampshire, unbelievable. i'm winning new jersey by a lot. a lot. and chris christie is a friend of mine, but i am at 29% and he is at 5%. that is a big difference. i am winning florida. i am beating bush and rubio.

i am winning nevada by a fourrtune. nevada, tremendous hispanic population. i'm winning with the hispanics. big. winning with the hispanics. [cheering[ ] i keep telling everyone i will win with the hispanics. i tell everyone. i love the hispanics. hispanics --nds of thank you. i love you, too. it's true. i have thousands of hispanics working for me all over. 1800, 1900 employees. many hispanics are unbelievable people, unbelievable workers. i love them, i love them. they know. they are smart.

i'm bringing jobs back from china, japan, all these countries. i'm bringing them back. nobody else can do that. i know the people i'm running against, including hillary. they cannot do that. they can't do that. i mean, honestly, ben carson cannot do that, folks. i hate to tell you. can't tdo it. here is the story -- winning in florida, winning in texas, ok? winning in texas, big. winning in south carolina, winning in north carolina. winning in ohio against kasich which is interesting. he is a good man, but i'm winning in ohio against him. i'm winning in massachusetts. listen to this 1 -- this is what i love. maybe, i don't even know live, massachusetts. i'm at 48%, 48%.

48%. and second-place is 12%. to do a going to have really, really bad crash to blow that one. so, what happens? let me give you the that is. this is been going on for 100 days. they were celebrating on television. 100 days on the top of every poll. think of it. [cheering] days on the top of every single poll national and state. ok, that is a good news, right? let me give you the bad news. the press was so happy. [laughter] i love iowa and i honestly think those polls are wrong.

i'm presbyterian, a great christian. [cheering] it's true. they say i'm the best leader. they say on the best on the economy by far. it is like by triple. how important is the economy? remember, it is the economy. it's the economy, stupid. i'm leading on the economy. i'm leading with men big. i'm not doing well with women. will you help me? what is going on? [cheering] -- nobody respects women more than me. greatest person ever was my mother, believe me. nobody will be better or do more than women than donald trump. that i can tell you.

i think they know it. i would rather do well with women than men. with men, i'm doing great. with women, not terrible, but i could do better. happenedhappened, what is the polls come out. the press was so happy. headline -- just so you understand, if i was first place, it would not be discussed. nobody would mention it. all day long, my head. i turn on the television -- headline, bigger than hillary's talk yesterday on benghazi. [booing] headline -- the headline, headline -- you see it. am i right? trump falls to second-place in iowa. i said, no way.

the press was going crazy. they loved it. they were so happy. i want not mention the names but you know some of them. you know some of them. we have a breaking story, donald trump has falling to second place behind ben carson. [booing] ben but he was sleeping. donald trump has fallen to second place. it is funny. two people dropped out. perry, you know about that. and governor bush -- walker, t hey both dropped out. they became so vicious. perry was such a nice guy two months ago. he went to washington to make a

speech about me. it was so vicious that those that loved me started crying. maybe not. it was vicious. we had so many. you had lindsey graham. [booing] i don't even know the guy. the only time i know him is when he constantly calls me asking for coun campaign contributions. he became so vicious and violent. every time they get more vicious and violent, they go down, down, down. in fact, lindsey graham was at 5% and he hit me as hard as you could be hit. he said i don't know anything about the military, what do i know? except one thing. i wrote a book in 2000. scarborough covered it.

i wrote a book in 2000 before the world trends tha trade cente down and i said there was going to be a big attack in this country. i said probably by somebody named osama bin laden. this was before anyone knew his name. be i said it is going to much worse. you remember the first attack which was the horrible attack but a small attack by comparison obviously to the second one which was horrendous. the worst attack in the history of our country. worse than pearl harbor. at least with pearl harbor, they were attacking the military. they were not attacking innocent civilians of which many thousands died and are still, a re still living in pain and suffering. not to mention, the fire departments, police departments and all the guys that had to breathe all that air for long periods of time.

[applause] thank you. i have it in the book. watch osama bin laden. scarborough says, whoa, when was the book written? before the world trade center. he cannot believe it. i don't get any credit. they don't give me any credit for it. and then i have jeb bush saying, what does donald trump know about the military? i'm like a smart guy. i'm really smart. but, it is amazing. people are talking about it. if you read the book, it says osama bin laden. the reason was he was a terrorist that was getting a lot of notoriety. he made very vicious statements towards our country. i said you better watch that guy. what happened? i think it was 19 months after that, he came back and knocked down an attack viciously with

the world trade center. in the debate, which every poll said i won, but these are minor details. slate --ime magazine, everybody, every single poll. i'm not calling up hundreds of thousands of people, but jeb said, my brother left us safe. i'm ok with it. i said to the biggest attack ever. they should have known about it and they could have known about it. i am not blaming george bush. i am not blaming anybody. i could also blame clinton, right? in all fairness to bush, he was only president for nine months. andgh clinton gave a speech he knew osama bin laden, just like i did, and he gave a speech talking about osama bin laden,

so you can blame bush, we can blame everybody. you know the expression "the buck stops here?" your president, that's the way it is. it is one of the reasons i say, and i mean this strongly, we a lot of money, 19 billion dollars, but we have to build up our military so big, so strong, so powerful, we have got to do it. [cheering] we have got to do it. so powerful that nobody is going to mess with us, nobody. i don't want to use it. i don't want to use it. nobody, nobody is going to mess. we are working on an airplane right now, i don't know if you have been reading about it. aliens and billions of dollars or one plane, and the test pilots -- did you read the story?
