degree, they deserve to know how much people make when they graduate from a school with that degree. >> how do you make a claim to the nomination? sen. rubio: here's the bottom line people need to begin to focus on. it takes 1200 delegates. donald trump will never have the delegates. it will not happen. i will be in this race is long and hard as i need to be. [inaudible] as the field continues to narrow down, you will see more and more people rallying to our side. it is the party of lincoln and reagan. [inaudible] [inaudible] i know the media, you guys are sharpening your knives. they are going to tear him apart. we are not going to be our nominee.
4:14 pm
-- going to allow him to be our nominee. we are going to win here early. [inaudible] we will find out. we feel very optimistic. this is not a traditional race. usually in a race like this, people are pushing you. that's not what's going to happen with donald trump. the majority of republican voters do not want donald trump. they are going to take whoever is left standing not standing with him. [inaudible]
4:15 pm
they have a right to be in the race. they have worked just as hard as we have. i'm never going to ask anybody to drop out of the race. the race will narrow down. voters have a clear choice between two people. [inaudible] part of it is he's not as rich as he says he is. had he put that money in a and x fun, he would have been one of the richest people in the world. instead he put that money on a bunch of risky business deals. he took more companies into total bankruptcy.
4:16 pm
bankers calling us, all people -- all kinds of people telling us insight into donald trump. they put donald trump on an allowance. probably got people into trump university and they realized over time and lost their money. [inaudible] i always hope that voters would eventually see this for what it is. it's clear now if we are going to save the republican party from being taken over by a con artist, we will have to make the case more aggressively. [inaudible] >> thank you guys.
4:17 pm
>> ladies and gentlemen, please welcome congressman austin scott and senator marco rubio. [applause] ♪

we got back to america, i just wanted to kiss the ground. it's americans who make this country great. you let something happen anywhere in the world, and as soon as americans get their next paycheck, they will give to help people in countries they may not have ever heard of. thank you for giving me the country that you have. i want to tell you this, no man can do this job without a little help from above. i have nine words written on my desk in atlanta. am i not, have i not, will i not. there is a god. there is a destiny for america. i want to tell you something. there's nobody that i trust more to help lead this country to our destiny than marco rubio. sen. rubio: thank you very much.
4:20 pm
you know, i played football in a small college in missouri. there are more people here than at any of those games. thank you, congressman. when we drove up i saw people walking down the street. it took time to get here. you've been waiting for a few minutes. i'm grateful that you came here today. i'm glad to be back with you and i'm excited about tuesday. i want to thank you for your support. we are on our way to turning this country around in 2016. [applause] we need to offer this country a clear alternative to the last eight years, and we will when i am our nominee thanks to your help.
4:21 pm
but first we have to win this primary. this primary has been an interesting ride, and we will talk about it a little bit here today. [inaudible] yes. [applause] now look, i want to be frank with you. you deserve the truth about what's happening. our party today after four states, according to the polls, is on the verge of being taken over. the party of lincoln and reagan is on the verge of being taken over by a con artist named donald trump. now, how do con artists work? a con artist identifies people who are struggling and convinces you they have something that will turn that around. donald trump has done this before. he had a school. he had a thing called trump
4:22 pm
university. they would go to people who were looking to make more money. people who paid as much as $35,000 because they were told that donald trump's real estate genius would give them all the secrets to making money. they were told, max your credit card. you can make even more money if you sold up for the gold course. and they did. at the end of the process the only thing they got was a paper, a certificate, and they got to take a picture with a cardboard cutout of donald trump. that's what they got. that is called a con job. that is what he's doing now to millions of americans. millions of americans who are hurting, people are struggling. you are struggling, some of you are. you're working as hard as you ever have and you're running in place. you have trouble getting ahead, because the world is been unfair, the economy has gone upside down, and here comes this guy who tells you on going to help turn this around because i've been very successful in business.
4:23 pm
not really. he inherited millions of dollars. if he had taken those millions of dollars and put them in the stock market like a normal person, he would have more money today than warren buffett. but instead he invested in hotels that went bankrupt. he bankrupted a casino. how do you bankrupt a casino? [laughter] the house always wins. any time he bankrupted a business, any time he bankrupted a business the people who paid the price where the contractors he had hired. we are also hearing from them. they're calling nonstop, small businesses that did work and he pulled his money out and did what he needed to do and they never got paid. he is not a great businessman. he has taken 4 companies into bankruptcy. you ever heard of trump air? it's gone. four casinos in atlantic city. he's a guy who inherited hundreds of millions of dollars and had he invested in the stock market, he would have been better off.
4:24 pm
he's the only one running for president who has hired illegal immigrants to work for him. he hired polish workers to help on trump tower. he's going to protect you from immigrants taking your jobs -- why is he hiring foreigners to do the jobs at his hotel that americans are trying to get, and he's hiring foreigners to do the job? he's fighting for the little guy, the little guy are the people he's cheated the whole time he's been in business. time and again, it is a con job. he says i'm a strong leader and the other day he told the protester, i'm going to punch you in the face. he has never punched anyone in the face. [laughter] ok? he's a guy who has been protected and privileged his whole life and insulated his whole life. this is a massive fraud he is perpetuating. the stakes are not just a fake degree.
4:25 pm
the stakes are giving control of the conservative movement and ultimately the united states over to a con artist. that will not happen. i make this promise to you today. i will campaign as long as it takes. i will stay in this race as long as it takes. donald trump, a con artist, will never get control of this party. i know some of your friends have brought -- bought into this. friends don't let friends vote for con artists. it is time to open our eyes. we cannot allow a con artist to get access to the nuclear codes of the united states of america. it is a big fraud, and it's time to open our eyes, and we will in the days and weeks to come.
4:26 pm
what happens when you attack donald? he goes on twitter. you guys want to have a little fun today? last night he actually was pretty calm. after i punched him around a little bit. [inaudible] is learning how to spell, i guess. somebody said that here. he's flying around on hair force one and tweeting -- here's the one tweet he put out. he put a picture of me having makeup put on me at the debate, which is amazing to me that a guy with the worst spray tan in america is attacking me for putting on makeup. [applause] donald trump likes to sue people. he should sue whoever did that to his face. [applause] alright, so let's move on.
4:27 pm
this is an important election. why am i so fired up about this? not just because i want to say the country from a con man, not just because i want to save the party from a con artist, but because this election is so important for our future. what is it stake here is what kind of country is america going to be in the 21st century. and we have a chance to make this country better than it has ever been. but that is not the road we are on right now. that is not the road we're on right now. the last eight years have placed us on a road that will leave us as the first americans who will leave our children worse off than ourselves.
4:28 pm
that's the road we are going to stay on if we nominate someone who cannot win. if you nominate a con artist, the media will take him apart. watch the media coverage of donald trump. there are two reasons they're laying off of him. i'm convinced some of these reporters are scared of him. the bigger reason is they are just licking their chops. they're waiting for him to be the nominee. the day he's the nominee, which will never happen, they will tear him to shreds. the democrats are being gleeful about it. they know if i am nominated, we are going to win. they attack me more than anyone else in this race. they know that if i'm nominated, we will win because we will unite this party and we will grow it. but they are holding back and they know if we nominate donald trump, they will win. and they can't wait to shred him. and they will. we cannot afford to lose this election. if we stay on the road we're on right now -- if bernie sanders is elected president -- [boo] sen. rubio: bernie sanders is a socialist. usually when you call someone a socialist in american politics, they get mad about it. bernie says in his commercials.
4:29 pm
if you want to live in a socialist country, moved to a socialist country. we want to be america. [applause] hillary clinton is unqualified to be president of the united states. hillary clinton is unqualified to be the president of the united states because she took classified information, put it on her e-mail server, because she thinks she's above the law. no one is above the law. [applause] and hillary is disqualified from being commander in chief. because, on september 11, 2012, four americans died in the service of our country in benghazi, libya. she knew they died because of a terrorist attack.
4:30 pm
she told their families it was because of a movie. anyone who lies to the family of americans who have lost their lives in the service of our country can never be the commander in chief of the united we cannot lose this election. election ande this if you nominate me, we will not lose this election. race, anyone left in this i will unite this party. we don't have to agree on everything, but we will come together and we will grow this party. we will take this message to people who don't vote for us now. people living paycheck to paycheck, people's -- people struggling with student loan debt, like i struggled with student loan debt. don't clap for student loan debt
4:31 pm
. i paid sallie mae a lot of money. someone asked me -- someone asked me if i would be their prom date. when is the prom? the last time i went to the prom, i had a really tacky taxi go on. i don't know -- a long time ago. when is the prom? march 12? i think that's after the primary, but i may come back and do the prom. [applause] we are going to win this election because we will take our message to people who don't vote for us and we will grow it and win. when you make me president of the united states for the first time in eight years, you are going to have a president who follows the constant tuition of
4:32 pm
the united states of america. [applause] defends yourhat first amendment right to live out the teachings of your faith in every aspect of your life. [applause] a president that defends your second amendment right to protect yourself and your family. [applause] and a president who believes our solutions are not found in a big federal government. they are found in our homes, in our communities, and it is in our government, at the state evel, not in washington, d.c. [applause] for the first time in eight years, you will have a president that follows the constitution. in my first moment in office, i will cancel every single one of barack obama's unconstitutional
4:33 pm
executive orders. every one of them. [applause] president, aree going to have a president that embraces a free economy. free enterprise, my parents were not rich people -- my father was a bartender and my mother was a maid. the reason they had a job is because free enterprise works. someone who had the money risked and hired them. it's the only economic in the world where you can make poor people richer and you don't have to make rich people poorer. [applause] save freeing to enterprise. we are going to fix our tax code. back theseg to roll things that come out of the federal government. we are going to roll back social
4:34 pm
security. we are going to utilize the resources god has blessed us with an we are going to repeal and replace obamacare once and for all. [applause] when i'm president of the united states, you will have a real commander-in-chief, not like the week one we have right now. the world has become a very dangerous place. there's a lunatic in north korea with nuclear weapons. some would say a lunatic trying to get a hold of nuclear weapons in north america. we have the chinese government taking over the south china sea, building up their military, stealing our inventions, and making donald trump's ties.
4:35 pm
he's going to bring back jobs from overseas but makes all of his tacky close in china and mexico. russia, vladimir putin is sowing instability in the middle east. have a ron about to get 100 billion dollars of sanctions release, which they are going to use to get a nuclear weapon. you have radical islamic jihad must -- jihadist, especially this group isis, that finds itself in a dozen countries. the president is gutting our military. we will soon have the smallest army since the end of world war ii. we will soon have the smallest navy in 100 years and soon have the smallest air force and our entire history. the world is growing more dangerous and our military is growing smaller and weaker and how unfair is that to our men and women in uniform who
4:36 pm
are put in harms way with older and less equipment. and with rules of engagement that do not allow them to win. [applause] all of that will change when i am president. when i am president of the united states, we are going to undertake a reagan style rebuilding of the u.s. military. [applause] [chanting "usa, usa"] president, we are going to have a real war on terror, not this fake war on terror we have now. the best military in the world is going to destroy the terrorists and if we capture any of them alive, they are not getting a court earring in manhattan. they do not have the right to remain silent.
4:37 pm
they are going to guantanamo. [applause] when i am president, our allies will know we are their allies. the other night of the debate, we had this discussion. the only pro-american, free enterprise country in the middle east and donald trump says i'm going to be neutral. i am not neutral. i am on israel lost side. [applause] because someone wrought a boot with a high heel. i did not wear those today. soon enough, they will be back. i am going to be on israel's side. my first day in office, i will cancel barack obama's deal with iran in my first day in office.
4:38 pm
we are going to take care of our veterans. [applause] veteran, will you raise your hand so we can thank you? we want to thank you for what you have done. god bless our veterans. [applause] god bless our veterans. ourre not taking care of veterans now. i know this because my brother is a veteran. in 1968, he joined the army, he became a green beret. day he knocked out his teeth and now he has to go to the v.a. with a dental claim and it is always a hassle. it's always asking the question, how do we know this happened in the army. he says it the only time i ever jumped out of a plane. they've got a train going right
4:39 pm
through my event. isn't that awesome? [applause] honk the horn. you the democrats will stop at nothing to keep me from winning this election. [applause] so, we are going to take care of our veterans -- the other day in "usa today" at the top of their headline, it said calls at the wentde hotline at the v.a. to voicemail. no one gets fired over this debt. if you are not doing a good job at the v.a., you will get fired. when i'm president, our veterans will be able to take their benefits to any hospital or any doctor they want to go to. let me say one more thing about
4:40 pm
our veterans. you can never say enough. so many veterans don't stop serving when they come to america. you go to any fire station or police department and you will find veterans serving us. and tired of reading these articles about how bad the police are. i want to thank our law enforcement and police officers for what they do for us. [applause] never thank them enough. do.ave a lot of work to but first, we have to win, and we will. i believe this country is going to get it right. we always have and we will again. this idea that america is a special country is deeply personal. i know america is special. part of the reason i know it so deeply as i was raised by people
4:41 pm
who knew what life was like outside of america. i believe that sometimes, when you live here your whole life the way i have, sometimes it's easy to take it for granted. you think this is the way it is all over the world. it isn't. your future depends on who you are parents are. if your dad that you a lot of money, if your parents are politically connected in most countries on earth, you got succeed. if they weren't, you were stuck. imagine living in a country that says it doesn't matter how hard you work or how long you try, it doesn't matter how good you are, you are only allowed to go so far because you don't come from the right people. that is foreign to us. we cannot comprehend that.
4:42 pm
in almost every nation on earth, that is what life is like now. but not here. this has in a special place. in 1956ts came here really island of cuba and they had nothing. [applause] i think there are four cubans here. where's the bread is what i wonder? came in 1956. when they came here, they barely spoke any english. they had no money, they didn't .ave much of an education it was hard for them. years later, my parents admitted they were discouraged. they were discouraged because they were trying and they couldn't get ahead in the even wondered if they could -- if they had made a miss take. never have been born because i wasn't worn until they
4:43 pm
were in their 40's. parents were discouraged, but they persevered. about americauth and the american miracle. less than 10 years after my parents came here, my mother was a bartender on miami beach. that's all he was and they bought a home in a state -- in a safe and stable neighborhood. for years to come, they would work hard. my parents worked well into their 70's but they were able to retire with dignity and security. people say you don't come from privilege but they are wrong. i come from extraordinary privilege. who raised parents us to believe in the american dream. [applause] my parents were not rich. my parents were not rich and my parents were not amos, but my rent or successful.
4:44 pm
they lived to see all four of their children live a life better than their own. [applause] parents achieved has a name. it is called the american dream. [applause] and that's not just my story. as americans, that is our story. there are thousands of people here right now and i don't know all of your stories. i know very few of your personal stories but i know you are americans. areuse i know you americans, i know you come from a story not unlike that one. we are all a generation or two removed from someone who faced difficulties, from someone who made your future the purpose of their lives. we are all a generation or two away from grandparents who made extraordinary sacrifices. generation away
4:45 pm
from your parents, your father who worked two jobs. not lived off the government, worked two jobs. [applause] we are all a generation removed from a mother who made incredible sacrifices so you could live out the dreams of the became impossible for her. what you areat is doing now. maybe you are here because we are working hard. maybe work during the day and go to school at night because you want all the things that never happened for you to be possible for your children. [applause] the reason i tell that story is because that is what makes us different. us special. makes every country in the world has rich people. in thisrate the success
4:46 pm
country. we celebrate that in this country and we don't human eyes of the way barack obama does. but that is not what makes us special. what makes us special are the millions of people who are not rich and not even trying to get rich. when you become a teacher, when you become a nurse or firefighter, when you join the arm forces or go into the ministry, you know you are not going to become a billionaire doing that but you do it because you love what you do and all you want is to make enough money to own a home and retire with dignity and leave your kids with a chance to be anything they want to be. that is what makes us special. [applause] that is the real american dream. that is the real american dream, and if we ever lose it, we will stop being a special country. the american dream is not an

accident. the american dream did not happen on its own. it is a result of the fact that for over two centuries, the americans before us always did what needed to be done. ours is a nation where for over 200 years, generation has left the next generation better off. for over 200 years, each generation has confronted its challenges. they did not leave them for their children. now the time has come for this generation to do its part. now the moment has arrived for us to do our part. when i'm president, this generation will do its part to not just save the american dream, but expanded. [applause] -- expand it. [applause] tough.times are i know many of you are working
4:48 pm
harder than you ever have and you feel like you are running in lace. i know many of you went to school, got a degree and borrowed money to pay for it and now you have a loan but you can't find a job with the degree you have. have startedf you small businesses and are struggling to succeed because of taxes and regulations and a stagnant economy. news tells you the world is getting more dangerous, but america seems to be getting weaker. i noticed is a difficult time, but i ask you do not fall prey to fear. do not fall prey to a con job. believe this country is always destined to be greater than its past if we are willing to do what it takes. that is why i'm asking for your vote. i live many of them in my own life that i am mistake about america's future because i believe i will always believe god's hand is upon this great land.

campaign now. we have basically moved beyond the early primary and caucus states and now we are in super tuesday. 12 states, voters in each of these states will have a defining impact on who the democrats and republicans nominate. it is a very different stage in the campaign. now we are campaigning in 12 states where the candidates are literally going from airport to airport trying to appeal to as many voters as possible and make their last-minute pitches. advertising is key but it has moved to a very different level of the campaign where they hope voters know who they are. the candidates have to convince those voters, including those undecideds, that that is the person they must vote for first thought -- must vote for. started,s network
