either, but donald trump, they can label him whatever they want, but i think he is just an american who wants to help america and he wants to make america great again and i don't think we have any other choice and i hope everybody else out there really thinks about what they are doing for their kids and their grandkids. i know there are a lot of young people voting for bernie sanders and this and that, but we need somebody with a good education, somebody who understands his nets, and somebody who loves his country, and donald trump fills all three. he is a hard worker and there is nobody that has worked harder on this campaign compared to him. announcer: thanks for calling. this evening, hillary clinton and bernie sanders will be inending a democratic event milwaukee. the road to the white house

6:09 pm
lady president, she is right behind obama, and nothing will change, and she couldn't even keep her own family together, so how in the world is she going to run the united states? it's ridiculous to me. vera in turpin springs, florida, another democratic caller. i just don't understand why you didn't show hillary when she was speaking on this show. were waiting to see if you going to show her because i wanted to hear what she had to say. announcer: i'm sorry, you wanted to see who? caller: hillary clinton. announcer: ok, well, she will be airing tonight. we will have hillary clinton and bernie sanders on live this evening. they will be in milwaukee. we will have that event for you live here on c-span. of thegoing to cover all candidates this weekend here in

6:11 pm
fabulous things, such as providing jets for his asked children, and these things are never put in the media. unfortunately, they only use soundbites for the negative things. and it seems to be that the media establishment over the years has given us a very scripted, politically correct politician that always says the right anger and they look really nice and like obama and ted cruz and all i can say -- the right thing and they always look really nice like obama and ted cruz and all i can say is they always look so perfect by the media and that is where they have gotten us at this point and i prefer to have a man that speaks his mind and sometimes may makes errors and do things that frustrates me, but i do believe that what is more important to me is the safety of my country and economic prosperity for everybody in this country. i just wanted to say thank you and i also wanted to mention that thedebt --

delegate selection going on right now will not represent the voters, and i know that is our democratic process, what i do not believe that delegates being hand selected and been promised for various things and being put into certain camps can honestly be said that that represents actual voters going to the polls and voting. if donald trump is ahead when they get to the convention, he should be our nominee, and i think everybody should accept that, and i just -- announcer: thank you for calling, jackie, you major point of we are going to move on. we want to share a couple of tweets that have come in after the donald trump event. this one, why are all those children standing behind donald trump in wisconsin? i bet even they can tell he's full of baloney." meanwhile, joshua treats right now on c-span "people are

calling in saying they were longtime democrats and now switching to vote for donald trump." this one is from max, saying that "i certainly wish we had libel laws like the u.k., i can't believe how donald trump is insulting our present u.s. leaders, very depressing." let's go back to the phone calls. let's because maria. hi, maria. hi, i would just like to reference the lady you had on rally, iore the believe her last name was torrance? and she made the statements, and this is just one of the examples, but she made a statement about obamacare and how we don't hear from trump about obamacare and i literally jumped, i thought, are you kidding? he mentions it every time he appears publicly.
6:14 pm
and that to me is just an much theon of how media lies, i mean, sibling distorts things that trump is saying. have am an independent, i never in my life voted republican, i not only have a college degree, i have a graduate degree. i am not some crazy lunatic, but i have to say that the way the some ofist and turns the things that trump says were things he says he believes and is really astonishing to me, it's astonishing. i was very disappointed with the on, iman, too, who was don't know his name. i think he said that this was just up like it statement that simply was not true. and the other thing i would like to say is that trump is -- about
6:15 pm
is the press keeps harping on the fact that he doesn't have substance when he speaks about things. no donald trump is a very shrewd businessman. he knows how to make a deal, ok? is he a polished politician who knows everything about every single aspect? no. but what he does know is how to surround himself with the best minds available. and so i would rather, i mean, i am a senior citizen now, and i totally, totally empty discussed andend -- totally disgusted disillusioned with the last number of elections, including republican elections, because i am not a real republican, so my feeling is, i would rather have an outsider who is not being paid money by other people, who is a very good is this man who
6:16 pm
will surround himself with the best minds that are also not , try to makeid for some change in our country, because we are going downhill really fast. thanks for calling, maria, maria referring to a couple of guests earlier this morning on "the washington journal." that out,e to check you can watch portions of that program on our website at c-span.org. we have the weekly radio addresses from the president and the reply to republicans, at first, we go to sandy in surprise, arizona. sandy, go ahead. just want to say to mr. cronk, thank you very much for running for this trump, thank you very much for running for this country.
6:17 pm
and a previous caller had said something about the media. the media is terrible. although want to do is focus on mr. trump. ity just wanted to dissect and turn it inside out and run with it. it shows the kind of rhetoric that is told over and over again. it is not right and it is not fair and it should be stopped in some way because it is just terrible. i believe 100% that some things are not done correctly, but the leadership in this country has really taken this country in the wrong direction and people like hillary clinton and mr. sanders who think that they are going to give this country away because they can is not right. would like to say, mr. trump, thank you very much. announcer: thanks for calling. todd joins us from holiday, pennsylvania on the line for independence. caller: i would -- independents. caller: i would like to talk
6:18 pm
about a couple of things. first of all, i am a small business owner supporting family members, and we have been taxed to death. we pay federal taxes, state taxes, and local taxes, so about 32% of the money that we bring in is being taxed. the other thing is personally i am single, a 40 five-year-old male, i signed up to obamacare was 100e penalized, it $90.54 last year, i went to renew my policy this year and was told the policy and plan -- 109.54, i went to a new my policy this year, and was told the policy and plan was not available. donald trump has told the truth when he says it is a scam and it is a scamming people who can't
6:19 pm
afford the premiums and they are sometimes being raised by 140%. another thing is, as other callers have said, he is not as polished as the other candidates who are running, but i think he is a sound businessman who is going to surround himself with the best minds available, and i think he could really change the way things are going and are headed in a good direction. so those are my feelings today and thank you very much. foruncer: thank you calling. denny and lamarr, iowa. go ahead, lenny -- lenny in lamarr, iowa. go ahead, lenny. caller: thank you. very long toe me realize that the democratic side were not my people, so i didn't
6:20 pm
stay on the democratic side at all. for mr.d i would vote trump, and i kind of feel like one thing though, he has really gotten up and wrapped by the media. every move he makes he gets criticized for. they don't tell people what time to go to the bathroom. i mean, why don't they clean this thing up a little bit? it is just ridiculous. i think it is way out in left field. i am a democrat but i tell you, i am not going to vote for them, i am going to vote for a man who can bring us back and make america great again, donald trump. right, thanks for calling, the wisconsin primary is coming up on tuesday for both the republicans and the democrats, and we will be coming -- we will be covering the democrats live here on c-span, live from milwaukee. both hillary clinton and senator bernie sanders will be there and will speak and we will have that for you here on c-span.

this summit is a place to keep up our efforts to prevent the world's most deadly networks from obtaining these deadly weapons. this also presents another opportunity in making sure that we remain focused in our fight against isil. high number of our countries have been targeted by isil -- a number of our countries have been targeted by isil. and iraq, isil continues to lose ground. we continue to take out their leaders and those who are planning terrorist attacks against our countries. their morale is suffering and isil is squeezed in syria and iraq, but it is lashing out elsewhere, as we have seen most recently and tragically from turkey to brussels. we have been trying to disrupt terrorist attacks, but it requires even more cooperation and it sure is more information
