elected to spend his time with reporters and celebrities. this is a president who campaigned on speaking directly to americans and that is exactly what he will spend his time doing. i think it is kind of naive of us to think we can all walk into a room for a couple of hours & some of the tension is not there. one of the things we say in the south -- in a girl scout eggs your house, would you buy cookies are more? there is no reason for him to pretend like it will be just another saturday night. i think he is focused on protecting our borders, national security, growing our economy. is that is spending the night doing that he will spend the night focused on what he can do to help better america. >> pretty straight answer. we will have to leave it there today. >> this tuesday, the president has a capitol hill to address congress. house minority leader nancy pelosi was asked about that also on abc's this week. >> said democrats are thinking

yes it talk about. transgender kids in schools he has no jobs bill so we have to talk about immigrants and have a ban on muslims coming into the country. all of this is deflecting from the fact he has done nothing. we have not seen a jobs bill. if he -- as i said to him and publicly, if he has an infrastructure bill that really helps to address the deficit we have and our infrastructure in our country, let's talk about it. but if it is yet again another tax break for his rich friends disguised as an infrastructure bill, we are not going. >> we are live at the national governors association eating and washing. this is the winter meeting. they are on a break. transportation secretary elaine chao will join the governor's next in a discussion on infrastructure. this is live coverage of c-span.

who are inviting people who were victims of anti-muslim violence peoplent times, or of who stand to lose their health insurance if the 2010 health care overhaul that a lot of people know is obamacare is repealed. i don't know how much of a literally not showing up we will see yet, although there will be some of that. one of the questions that will be interesting is whether some of the democrats in the house who are known for always wanting the aisle seat so they can be in the camera shot with the president of the united states walking down the aisle, whether or not those people will actually want to be there this year. >> back to the senate side, another member -- former member of congress, dan coats of indiana is up for a position
