actually. host: i'm sorry, go ahead. caller: that's all right. i was listening to kudlow. i have watched him for most of my life. you know, he words it differently every time he comes on, but he's basically just spouting off trickle-down economics, he can cut it and slice it anyway that he wants, it's not going to work, trickle-down is definitely not a working option for us. what we need to do is get the money into the hands of the people that would actually spend it, you know? the working class. the best way to do that is to get a good rate, you know? maybe get a raise across the board to $15 per hour. host: what convinces you that that would make a difference? caller: well, the people on the lower end of the food chain are the people that actually need

"the hill" reporting this morning about the political activities of president trump, saying that his inaugural raised a record-breaking 1.7 million dollars to pay for the rest, double the previous record set in 2009 by the obama administration. the inaugural committee said they would donate the leftover funds to charity but conceded they have not selected which organizations the money would go to. it's not clear how much money they have left. the federal commission report detailing the fundraiser was not immediately available and the inauguration was expected to cost as much as 200 million with costs split between the joint congressional committee on inaugural ceremonies and federal
