[applause] country is going through unprecedented times in its history, marked by terrorism, economic crisis, social ,uffering, ecological urgency and the answer is brilliant. the answer was to go and vote massively. [applause] the people decided to take me on to the second round of presidential elections. [applause]

[chanting: macron, president] i am humbled by this. this is a tremendous responsibility to trust upon me. i want to take advantage of this opportunity to present my greetings to all the other candidates. [applause] thank you all for having

uploaded all of them now. you shouldctly what have done, what you are doing. it looks like what we should be doing. that those who supported those candidates are very disappointed, very disappointed themselves. some said they would vote for me on the second round, those candidates called upon the voters to do so as well. you have6, many of been with me since then and has created with me, my movement. in march forward. we me tell you, in one year have entirely changed the french political situation. [applause] seated see league, age

old feeling that has pushed our people forward, a commitment to the country, the collective interest over division, this is what has one tonight. i shall never forget the andendous energy determination that thousands of you have shown in order for this to come true. everywhere in france, you took your -- national destiny into your hands. he showed that having hope for the country is not a dream, it manifestation of a deep-seated will. you have devoted yourself to this day and night.

[applause] so tonight, my dear friends, i/o that to you and i am all too aware of this. onis up to you now to carry this determined struggle. never give up. never forget this month during which -- we changed the face of our country. farin what you have been so , determined, demanding. the path ahead is your path, already beginning tonight. i must go beyond that and bring all of the french people together. i will never be far from you. always be in need of you.

to the millions of french men and women who voted for me, i should like to say, thank you. [applause] [chanting] say, i know precisely what task lies ahead for me. the path ahead very seriously. this election has opened the door to optimism, to a new for help, for europe, for the world. [applause]

[applause] [chanting] over the past few months, i have heard -- given today -- i have heard people expressing doubt, anger, the fear of the people of france, the fact that they want to change so badly. this is why tonight, the two major parties that had been governing france for over 30 years have been discarded. speak tot i wish to all the citizens of france. in the european continent and overseas, i know what your expectations are. , two weeks from now, to

become your president. [applause] the president of all the people of france, the president of the .atriots confronted with the threat of nationalism. a president who protects, who transforms, who builds, a president who makes it possible for those who wish to create, to toorm, to start new things, do so more easily and rapidly. a president who helps those who have less, who are more fragile, or who have -- been upset by

life through work, education, .ealth, solidarity [applause] expectations,our your expectations for change, democracy, for ecological and economic change. a future of aild stronger france in a few that is protecting europe -- for this i need your vote and your trust. [applause] i shall endeavor my dear, fellow -- two weeks ahead to make sure that together we can bring as many people together running around my candidacy. the strings of that rally will

be essential to preside and govern. [applause] the challenge starting tonight is not to vote against somebody. the challenge is going to be to end awayy to the very from a system that has been an capable of actually answering the problems that have been in this country for more than 30 years already. [applause] the challenge is therefore to start writing a whole new page in the political history of our country, to make sure that everyone with justice and efficiency will be able to play a role that is theirs in france and europe. that is our challenge. that is why, my fellow countrymen, i want already to start building a majority for the government, and to undertake a new transformation. it will be made up of new faces, new talents, and everyone will find a role to play in it. not be asking those who come and join me, where do you come from? for whether they agree with me. the only thing i want from them is that they go ahead with me to have a new schooling system, to make it possible for everybody to move forward in a society, whatever their background, and to relaunch european construction trades that is the only thing i will be asking from you. now, i would want to see triumphant.
