9:40 am
everyone would be shackled by a very powerful individual. this is typical in nature. that is my comment today. host: let's go to st. louis on the independent line. caller: good morning. i just want to say you can't trust the republicans on anything to do with health care. , medicaid, medicare obamacare every step of the way. if they wanted to bring costs down and wanted to get the right side of history for a change and prove they cared or about people and not just their jobs or the insurance companies, they ought to support what they blocked seven years ago, medicare for trump said he liked in australia.
9:41 am

i'm not sureying history repeats itself, but it has a funny way of rhyming. that's going to lead me to my point about 1930's berlin. i'm sure you are freely without paraphrasing i am first they came for the trade unionists and i am a union machinist. i have seen unions decimated. for -- you know what i'm getting at. could one of your callers get in there. then they came for the jews, i wasn't jewish and i didn't sing the. they came for me and there was no one left to speak up. we are seeing that right now, except instead of jews its arabs

9:46 am
here, alth system we have if you don't have medicaid, they threw me out the door. they would not take medicare or any private insurance. therehis cut in medicaid, are going to be a lot of mental health people in bad shape as that's the only insurance. wideeling right now is don't they want to help people? just send us all a cyanide pill. host: this is the president last week as he celebrated the victory in the house. we suffered with obamacare. i went through two years of campaigning and i'm telling you no matter where i went, people were suffering with the ravages of obama care.
9:47 am
concerned, your premiums are going to start to come down. i feel so confident. your deductibles when it comes to deductibles it was so ridiculous that nobody got to use their current plan. this nonexistent plan i heard so many things about. i don't think you're going to hear so much right now. the insurance companies are fleeing. this is a great plan. i think it will get even better. replace ofepeal and obama care. make no mistake about it. host: the present with members of congress, all republicans who passed the bill by the narrowest of margins. what does the new law mean? the washington post is taken a look and that is available online.
9:48 am
let's go to carol from wisconsin on the democrat line. good morning. i would like to warn people that when their representative start talking about the high risk pool, they should be mailed them, talk to them in person if possible and asked them for specific details. i live in paul ryan's district. he talked about how great the district was here in wisconsin before obama took over. businessfor a small and they decided to get insurance. the insurance company they chose turned me down because of back surgery. to bosses told me to try apply for the high risk pool. i was accepted.
9:49 am
they said they would pay for it. otherwise i would not have it. this was 14 years ago. i was on it for about seven years. the premiums started out at $600 a month. left, they were up to over $900 a month with a $1000 co-pay. call your representatives and ask them what that high risk in yourgoing to be state. in your state. host: the new war on old rules. gutting regulations. warning, we are not ready for the next pandemic. the weekly standard is out ,oday, a look at jared kushner the son-in-law of donald trump.

9:53 am
ryan, i think he is such a hypocrite. he calls himself a christian. i was raised catholic. you can't call his phones in wisconsin. they ring busy 24/7. i think he has his phone so no one can get through to him. i am disgusted with his attitude about the health care. worth $5.5e is million. what does he have in common with us that live on $30,000 a year? virginia foxx is worth $4.5 million and she's not even having town hall meetings here. i think a lot of them claim to be catholic and christian, they are host: not christlike and

9:55 am
he seems ready factual. i know he is conservative. is, whatever our viewpoint is, i think the political class and you could hear in that previous caller, it is over. none of us are interested in the lifelong party member and their million dollar turnaround. and shethe clintons loses to the surprise of the political class. they have turned office big it. for them to accept that kind of money while one of them is in office, it's going to far. issue, i don't think anybody should be on tv, you try to keep it.
9:56 am

9:58 am
instead of being given a pill, you are given a new organ out of your own dna. it is still in trials. why doesn't the government invest heavily in such things? health care is very expensive because the elderly are a greater portion of the population. cost is a continuous cost. you don't replace the organs with new organs. there are so many technologies on the cusp. what should be done, what i think he should do is invest heavily in these things. host: we have time for one more call. janet is in florida. caller: i am a retired registered nurse here in central florida. i have a question about the french election.
