a lot of police out there patrolling. a lot of streets closed off. most people who were out there were media and very few walking the streets of downtown. ordinarily it would be a very lively nightlife. us back to yesterday. tell us about what the flashpoint was between the white nationalists and counter protesters. the white nationalists started amassing in the city park around 9:00. the counter protesters had gathered at the church for a sunrise service. each made their way separately to emancipation park. where the statue of robert e. lee was. the white nationalists gathered inside the park as they have the

right to do by their permit. and the counter protesters encircled the park from the outside. it was very tense. as more people came, things got violent. witnessed skirmishes, street fights. people clipping one another in the street as the white nationalists tried to make their i didn'tlee park and witness the actual flashpoint inside the park. the police declared unlawful assembly. barricades started coming down and things turned into chaos. we are getting reports of the arrest of the driver who killed the protester. have police released any information on the victim in that attack? >> as of last night they had not

released the name. it was a 32-year-old woman. they were notified next of kin. i have not heard of there is a name released. host: what are your coverage plans this morning? >> i'm only one person. i have colleagues joining me. we will go to some church services because this is a community that really is wrestling with what is happening here and trying to understand. outll be trying to figure what went wrong. how did this get so out of hand. what happened with the police response. probably head out and do a swing around the states. i don't expect much in the way protest or street action today. i could be wrong.
