beloved veterans. on behalf of myself, melania, my entire family, and a grateful nation, thank you to each and every one of america's veterans. and yourless you families, and may god bless the united states of america. thank you. >> on veterans day, wii's to remember and honor the enduring sacrifice of men and women -- we pause to remember and honor the enduring sacrifice of our men and women in uniform. from the greatest iteration of world war ii to the veterans of korea and vietnam, those who came before us courageously defended our freedom and helped make america the nation it is today. now, after more than a decade oven tang almonds military conflicts across the globe, the militaryanglements in

conflict across the globe, there is a young generation who has never known anything but war. tragic loss of life, physical injuries, and seen wounds that haunt their lives. the responsibility to care for is our obligation as taxpayers. that there isubt a cost of war. that is why we must guarantee resources itas the needs to serve veterans whether they be from montana or georgia. -- whennot make sense it does not make sense for a veteran to go to the va, we must ensure they have timely access to care in their communities no matter where they live. we cannot let those who want to privatize the va prevail. privatization is not just expensive, it is a shirking of our responsibility to our

nation, a breaking of our promise to our veterans, and a disservice to veterans like those from my home state, the great state of montana. that is why we will put politics aside and work to make sure all veterans receive the best care and assistance they have earned. when veterans suffer from the unseen wounds of war, we must mentalre they can access health care and end the unacceptable and heartbreaking frequency of suicide. when they want a better education, we must ensure they can earn a degree. when they are ready to transition to civilian life, we must ensure they have good paying jobs and a place to call home. and when they get lost in the bureaucracy, we must hold our government accountable to deliver. honoring the men and women who serve us is not a partisan issue. it is a bipartisan responsibility. god bless our men and women in uniform both past, present, and day andon this veterans every day.
