we are really going to start to rock. we need this as our final push, and you are going to see numbers that are great. most importantly, you are going to see great job numbers. jobs will come pouring back into this country, which we need very much. thank you, everybody. we are going to camp david, now. thank you. wilhelm -- colin wilhelm is a tax reporter with politico, joining us with details on the final version of the tax reform bill. the week ahead in congress is looking pretty packed. some gop senators announced they are behind the tax reform bill. tell us what has been happening with this legislation. >> there is a little bit of last-minute drama today with senate and house leadership trying to get marco rubio and mike lee on board for the tax bill.

both senators wanted an expanded child tax credit so that meant moving some numbers around in the overall plan. everything interacts with everything else because of the tight budgetary constrictions they are under. that meant they had to find a space for the expanded child tax credit to get the extra two votes in the senate for this tax bill. >> beyond the child tax credit, now that the final version has been released, what are the major differences between the house and senate and anything else of how they resolved that in conference? >> this is a major difference from what the house passed in terms of the tax cuts that will expire. that will take effect in 2025 because of the tight budgetary constrictions thereunder. -- they are under. they can add to the deficit by up to $1.5 trillion over the

next 10 years which is something republicans have been criticized for by democrats who say that their fiscal conservatives and conservativism does not extend to tax cuts. republicans argue the economic benefits will outweigh additional debt and the cuts will pay for themselves in the course of the next 10 years. those versions, some remain the -- something that remains the same is the reduction to the overall corporate rate that is going to be 21%. they had been aiming for 20%. that crept up even know that was a red line for president trump. they will be able to make that permanent and they are providing relief for other non-c corporation businesses. >> what about obamacare or health insurance, what we going to find in the final version? >> the individual mandate will be repealed as of 2019. there is a lot of criticism over what effect that could have on

health care premiums. there won't be a penalty if people do not buy health insurance. senator susan collins has not said whether she is going to vote for the final version but she did support the senate version. she has a commitment from senate republican leadership that a bill, separate funding bill for obamacare subsidies will pass and that will secure her vote. to try to alleviate any increase in health care premiums. >> what are we going to see on the floor, we know the house rules committee will be meeting on monday and what is going to happen in terms of activity on the floor in the house and senate? >> we are expecting a house vote on tuesday. they appear to have the votes to move this unless something last minute breaks. and in the senate, they may or may not end up doing a vote to

-- a vote obama to get through this -- a vote obama to try to get through this. >> how confident are republicans that this version will pass? >> i think they are very confident after today. the seem to be the last of the arm or placating happening today. even if the remaining holdouts, senators susan collins and jeff flake, if they end up withholding their votes, republicans have enough to get this passed on a simple majority vote. it is safe to say they are feeling confident. >> what about democrats? >> no democrats are expected to end up supporting this package. it is possible handful of moderates could surprisingly switch their votes but they have not signaled anything on that yet. this looks like it will pass with republican votes only. >> the president departing for
