protection, all the things that the c they aretudyin project, the army corps comes up with projects that are good to go or are good investments and they hand the list to congress and this is a bill in which congress says, ok, your authorized to go and do that. go andare authorized to do that. >> this came on a bipartisan voi vote.partisan whates for potential bipartisan support on the house flr? over the last two congresses in 2014 and 2016, the past water s, they passed by overwhelming majorities. i would expect something similar this time around. pretty noncontroversial for the

most part and authoring projects. this one authorized seven ojects, that is less than last -- the last few years. it is the kind of thing that a lot of members can support. methe house rules committee apoving 50 amendments for consideration for the water bill. s y amendments we will see. >> most of the amendments are fairly minor. a ofheare p ,pecic so they will say telling e court to expedite a artain project or expedite study or something else. some of them adjust the cost share between the federal and nonfederal partners, which isars projects. one of the bigst amendments was one that was not made in order byhe rules committee. that was by the ranking member and chair of the water resources

subcommittee in the house. that woulde i similar to a provisionncluded in the base bill. it would make it spng, not subject to appropriation. lecommittee. made an order b .t was an interestingoment thaiee going out ther and testifying at rules in favor of this amendment. it is not supporter -supported by hisspleure expresd by democrats on the very same issue. what about in the senate, where do the their infrastructure, their water frtructure built, and the white house question mark how viewthat white house congresses efforts so far in this area? >> on the senate side, like the house,y have gotten the bill through committee. , is a much broader bill
