one means it is the number one most important legislative priority. this is bill number one. immigrants have been pushing this since they took back the house last fall. everything from voting rights to election security. there is a provision that democrats have been pushing for years, such as automatic voter registration, supporting the sea .c. statehood. a lot of far ranging pieces the democrats have wanted for a long time. we'll see all of this on the floor next week. >> this will cost about $2 billion, most of that going to states for grants with election security. what does it mean for the future of hr one? having 220 seven cosponsors already virtually means they

will have no issues passing it. this is something that we need to go through the appropriations committee. it is a house controlled by democrats so it would be no problem. they would have the shuffle a little bit of money here and there. republicans have supported election security grants as well. goes tolmost uniformly these other tissues like overhauling the federal election commission. when republicans in the senate go to do these funding is really nothere chance we will see some of these broader items being adopted by the senate. some of these funding opportunities, we can see bipartisan support for those. the senate going to be doing? >> the senate will take up three judicial nominations.

this is something mitch mcconnell has been prioritizing. majority.t up his will be expecting a couple of republican senators to make a decision about what they will say on this pending national emergency declaration measure. is something that has consumed capitol hill after president trump declared a national emergency to build his so-called border wall. they are expecting to do this in the next few weeks. we'll have pressure on republican senators that have to make up their mind on how to vote on this. >> we will watch these issues as they come up on twitter. we really appreciate your time. >> thanks for having me. >> when the senate takes the
