justin's wife. where is, stand up, please. [applause] wow. [applause] i have a little bad news, he looks like justin. too bad. >> president trump at the white house earlier today. we want to take you live to the white house. conway is speaking to reporters. kellyanne: i read the quotes in "the new york times" article.
1:33 pm
i just read all of that. i have read that and read the entire section. done is to exchange between jr. and says that we discussed it. he says some stuff about hillary but it was not important. her forectured about two years and it is not true. andtruth is in the report, don jr. is exonerated and don senior is exonerated and you will have to start covering issues that americans are telling you in your own polling. health care, foreign policy, denuclearize north korea. we have a lot to solve. i said 2.5 years ago, i said that we are going to have joint custody of the country for the next four to eight years and we have six to go. 5.5 to go. we have to find a way to manage joint custody and we have to be honest that there is no

collusion. --there is also a comment >> the president said that he thought his presidency was going to come to an end. kellyanne: i am surprised to see that. that was not the reaction of the president that day when i was there. isre are words where he quoted where he does not use those words. i am not sure, you can ask people about that. i will tell you that he has never wants on the campaign said i think we should resign, i am not going to run anymore. we are done here, i can go back to my happy life. he has never said that during the campaign, and never said it since i have been by his side. he has never expressed that. that was the promise and wish of many people. many people who where you give a lot of air time and thanks to

have zero credibility, who promised collusion and swore that there would be conspiracy. they whisper in the years that my colleagues will be headed to jail and be indicted the grand jury would be taken to prison. that is a disgrace. people whispering in our ears about that. none of that has happened. it is time to move on. the president is in a great mood. it -- what is important is that democracy in the world's greatest democracy flourishes. do not need to collude in a foreign government or get information from wikileaks. do an election fairly. with the president want to testify. ? kellyanne: why are they asking for mr. mueller to testify. this is the mueller investigation and report. these were the redactions in concert with the attorney general.
1:36 pm
>> it is part of congressional oversight. kellyanne: they can call him to testify. the country has a right to ask what are you going to legislate and not investigate. is it oversight or overreach? the attorney general said today, if you want to call mr. miller to testify, testify. the burden will be on those who will not let go of this big lie to prove that the why they are continuing in a different form. we had the mueller investigation. every time i was asked will he fire rosenstein, will he fire mueller, will he shutdown the special counsel investigation. nothing happened. if you read the report, total compliance and exoneration. >> where is the president's point by point rebuttal that rudy giuliani said was going -- coming out? kellyanne: his greatest rebuttal will be that he will remain in office and get reelected,
1:37 pm
because the democrats have nothing. they banked everything on this. ony have 18 people running -- running for president and not a message that does not involve trump. there are people who share committees and ranking members who have promised collusion and said that they have proof. it is because they are on tv shows vomiting their own nonsense and talking points and not on their oath does not mean that they should say full exoneration. produce that evidence. if they love this country and have evidence that is 22 month investigation could not find, but somehow adam schiff has it, let us see it? kellyanne, does the president think that this is a criminal matter? kellyanne: the president said it --a which -- eight wtichunt

a hoax. investigating the investigators is something that they think it is a good idea. if you're going to scream about transparency and you investigate something for two years, i have 22 more months to see how we got here in the first place. was making payments to christopher steele, also played by -- paid by hillary clinton. the fusion gps, you would like to see more about that pat -- about that. the texting between two people. timothy, fbi, the department of justice. i think america has been told by all of you that we have a right to know and we want transparency and we want to make sure democracy is honest, and investigate the investigators. the president said that it should never have into another president again.
1:39 pm
let us see how we got here, how did it start. what -- when it went on stage and encouraged russia to hack the election? >> there was an attempt at obstruction of justice that he was seen and would not allow that. kellyanne: so they found no obstruction. you have got to read the report completely and not just listen to people on tv. i have read the report, and i got it very recently. let me just make the point. the president, if you look at the entire report, the president had the complete right to fire mueller. if he wanted to, he could fire him. he could've just fire him the way that he fired comey. this report made clear that there was no evidence that he fired jim comey to try and -- and impede the investigation
1:40 pm
into russians and the campaign. did not do that. he fired comey because he could. he has fired a lot of people, including people quoted to the report. he could fire me, he has a right to do that. if you wanted to get rid of miller, he could have gotten rid of mueller. >> attorney general barr -- kellyanne: he does not ask the attorney general that. we have been talking about investigations and transparency built on very little if anything. i say there is ample evidence -- obviously we are leaking information. puty said that he things out there hoping it would trigger an investigation. trigger a special counsel. andrew mccabe is a confirmed leaguer and liar. we know that there have been leaks. in the interest of our democracy, before the president have, andcted, let us
1:41 pm
let us see who was leaking, that is put them under oath. let us investigate the investigators. anybody who objects to that is being partisan and having amnesia about how much we love being trans -- we love having transparency. >> you said that the president was in a good move. talk about that his option this morning. what has he said? kellyanne: i will not go through any private meetings. many of us have with him throughout the day. you saw him at the wounded warriors project. he was now -- he was down there take -- taking pictures. he was talking to the lawyers and walking the press conference. a number of us were going to the report, and he is in there right now and ask me to come outside and have a little talk with you. he of course has the last word on all of this. he was democratically elected and he is the one who will

address at 4:00 when he leaves for a well-deserved easter break. what about the former administration officials through the report. >> thank you. >> what you mean, do not follow them? conway with the eisenhower executive office building in the background, speaking with reporters. the president leaving later today with mar-a-lago. we joined that a moment or two late. what we will try and do is show you that from the start in the next moment or two. philip coloring -- covering the event saying that "kellyanne conway bends the big lie you let fly for two years. post"rom "the washington with "one takeaway, trump holds deny, toust, install,

take actions to obstruct the investigation. nadler has not heard from the department of justice about receiving a less redacted mueller report because congress requires this material in order to purport -- perform are constitutionally mandated responsibilities. i will issue a subpoena for the full report and underlying materials. craig kaplan seeing the release from jerry matt -- nadler in a little bit. even in its incomplete form, the mueller report outlines disturbing evidence that president trump engaged in obstruction of justice and other misconduct. that statement coming within the last 15 minutes or so, ahead of his news conference this afternoon. that is coming up in 45 minutes. 2:30 eastern live on c-span and on c-span radio.
