not so impressive testimony. the director made clear that there's an increase in the , the at therests fbi is making that includes white supremacy, antifa and probably anti-semitism. it comes in many different forms. know how anyone can see the video coming out of portland and think any of our first amendment rights does not extend to violence or you cannot pick and choose it is criminally representative and punishment. reporter: you cannot just make up domestic terrorism. kellyanne conway: the president is responding to the increase of domestic terror. it includes antifa and anti-semitism. i am happy that the fbi is focused on international and domestic terror. anyone else?

the president would like a humanitarian, peaceful resolution. we are watching the protesters in hong kong, and they are not a small group. he made that very clear yesterday and hopes there is a peaceful resolution there, as w ell. the united states supports democracy around the world and i just answered the question about hong kong and china. the president has made remarks about the protesters in hong manyand is working on different issues and situations in china, and that is among them. reporter: which later is he going to meet -- leader is he going to meet? kellyanne conway: that has not been finalized yet.

you have seen the president before and he will be meeting with any number of world leaders while he participates and the regular meetings. -- in the regular meetings. that will be finalized this week. reporter: the president said yesterday that most economists say there will not be a recession. you are physically who he is talking to about that? kellyanne conway: yes, i do. it is nice to see the media final covering the trump economy. your only using it -- you are only using it when you can use the sesame street word, recession. you are using a tweet here or a word there. the fact is the fundamentals of our economy are very strong. we have more people working right now than ever before in the nation's history and more people going back to work. we have people with job availability and job stability. -- job security and job mobility. they can go and try to compete for one of the other 7 million plus jobs available, or one

apart from the one they have, or one that does not have benefits, or one too far from home. they have all these choices called freedom and free market. contrast that to medicare for all and new deals and taxes for everyone else and free health care for illegal immigrants. that would tank our economy and everybody knows that, so i see no posts for the mueller bombshell, conspiracy that never happened. i see now the focus on the economy, because that is the president's strongest suit. the fundamentals are strong and i would say that consumer confidence is very high. the optimism is there. half a million plus many fracturing jobs since the president got elected. again, appointment rates are low and the growth rates are higher and the confidence levels are high, and that matters because

consumers are spending their money and many of them are saving, and many others don't have to dip into their savings to meet basic household needs. he didn't need a proverbial magic wand. he just needed the courage that others did not have to cut taxes across the board and including four job creators to the childcare tax credit, have an energy development program in the country that now lets us be a net exporter of natural gas and oil for the first time and in these levels. and the deregulation agenda. we hear from the business owners that the deregulatory agenda and the new one in is important. it is very important to our nation's safety and well-being. business owners say it is just

it is good to hear people, so covering the economy after such a lengthy hiatus. last one. president, fortunately, a year and a half ago had the courage to do what his predecessor did not, he did that in march of 2016. the national criminal instant check system. there were many loopholes. he fixed that. that was bipartisan. it was part of the budget deal. that would have prevented the murderer whose name i will not say in charleston. at the historically black church. that should have prevented aurora, that should have prevented sutherland springs. people who should have failed background checks if their prior

felony convictions were in the system and if the data, the systems were talking to each other properly. the president also was looking at what we can do to take a look at the country and these patterns, that are chilling to so many of us. look at the parkland, florida shooter. he aspired to be a school shooter and got his wish. locals had already visited his home dozens of times and nothing happened. he was not removed. he apparently did not get the help he needed, and yet he got firearms and made known his aspiration to become a school shooter. dayton, ohio, this person had a hit list and a rape list in high school. somehow the juvenile records did not transfer over. when the president says we need to fix the mental health system, he is not saying everybody in treatment for mental health is a shooter. we haveis saying is

specific incidences where that has been an issue and it has been ignored. i am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. to all the first responders who work arduously to stop these three would be mass shooters in the last week. people are learning when you see something, say something after 9/11 does not just apply to packages. it applies to people. the more people can stand up and say, you know what? this kid down the street is , you can makeody anonymous tips. it can be investigated. it can be investigated so that .eople who need help there is a great politico article you should read. it is entitled the real reason why president never passed gun

control and never took action. it goes down chapter and verse how he did not campaign on it in 2008 or 2012. you had a lot of democrats in the senate, some who are still serving on capitol hill who voted against the assault weapons ban in 2013. there was not a lot of excitement and robust effort on the part of the democrats. they had a veto-proof senate majority to pass gun control. this president is trying to fix the problems we see as deficits within the system. he gave a speech two weeks ago this morning that said he would look at red flags, he would look the- i think it is violation bill. we are looking at many different avenues. there will be no confiscation of whoarms from americans possess them legally under the , read thendment
