maybe some of you guys have. the rest of us have not. you have a written complaint. since when in any court proceeding do you have the witnesses, here's a statement, and then you say we are never going to hear from him again? >> chairman schiff has said he heard of the complaint september 9. it was released days later. do you see a connection there? speaker pelosi: of course. the republicans like to say if you want to talk about them, it doesn't matter, it was released. no. the whistle was blown. the whistle was blown. and it was blown long before we heard about it. do not forget, between all of that came the inspector general. inspector general appointed by president trump. the inspector general said that this was of urgent concern. that is what intervened.

>> i understand you are saying the aid was released. but to put a fine point on it, are you comfortable with the investigation that was requested? >> the investigation that was requested. >> that the president spoke to gordon sondland about this request about -- to have the bidens investigated. are you comfortable with that? >> i thought we were talking about the potential impact in the 2016 election. i'm comfortable with it. >> 2020 election, does not make you comfortable? >> i do not think that is what took place because there was never an investigation. >> at the request for one that was testified to. >> but it did not happen. there is all kinds of talk. it did not happen. when this all broke -- >> the attempt itself does not bother you? >> the democrats tell us there is a quid pro quo. the scary thing is, the democrats have been out to get this president.
