joining us. lillis joins us. what does congress have to make sure these provisions do not expire? a tough issue for congress. they tried to get it done in december and could not reach deals. they still haven't reached any deals. it is crunch time. everybody is getting a little anxious as to what this deal may or may not be. strangee of those fights. it puts strange alliances together. you have liberal supporters of civil liberties siding with libertarians. they want reforms to restrict the fbi power of surveillance on u.s. citizens. more moderates,

institutionalists, mitch mcconnell is one of those. barr is general william one of those. they like to leave the powers intact. extend the role as it is. to make any tweaks internally. attorneyternally -- general was talking to lawmakers. is his position the administration's position? we authorize those provisions? those -- reauthorize those provisions? trump said, i want reform. if he is at odds with his attorney, what is the final product going to look like?

the congress shall declare war. the resolution is reminding president of that, even though it is going to his desk and they will veto it. they do not have the votes in either chamber. >> one bill he did sign was that a $.3 billion emergency spending measure to address the coronavirus outbreak. what else can we expect. i think you are going to hear a ton of things. this last week was monopolized by coronavirus. about the latest developments. how widespread is it. when are the test kits going to go out? who is going to pay for it?

everybody is kind of scrambling to see how this evolves and how serious it is. until those questions are going -- answered, there will be a lot of activity. passed verylion was quickly this week. supported by members of both chambers. pelosis already saying, this is the first step. the cases will be given more quantitative analysis. we will have to come back and get more funding depending on the severity of the crisis. you are seeing all the economic news. that is just going to heighten the scramble up there in congress. host: mike liles, thank you so much.
