3:52 am
amy coney barrett. he also talked about election integrity in preparation for the upcoming presidential debates, and the recent new york times story on his personal taxes. pres. trump: does everybody know these gentlemen in the room? you shouldn't be here if you don't. it is great to have you guys. yesterday, i was very proud to nominate judge amy coney barrett to the supreme court. i think she will do very well. we are moving along very quickly. tremendous unity and the -- in the republican party. it is the consequence of winning elections, which we did very substantially both in the senate and obviously in the white house. i think we are going to take back the house. i believe that very strongly. kevin is doing a fantastic job, and i really believe we are going to take back the house.
3:53 am
we are all working very hard on that. some commentsd made in the media about my incredibly qualified nominee. "the new york times" said her religion is not consistent with american values. she is catholic. that covers a lot of people. that is a very disgraceful thing to say. some of the comedians -- i do not think they are comedians because comedians are supposed to be funny. they are not funny at all. they are nasty, mean, and they think they are funny. and someday, hopefully it's in five years, but someday when i am not here, they will be off television because their ratings which are not very good anyway, but their ratings will go down like you have never seen before. that includes a lot of others. in fact, i am waiting for "the new york times" and "the washington post," abc, cbs, nbc,
3:54 am
cnn, msnbc, i am waiting for them to endorse me, because if they do not, they will drop with a thud. it was supposed to happen long ago. we won the race, and it was a great victory. we have never had a more energized base. nobody has ever seen anything like it. the rallies we have had are incredible. we called in protest. we do not want to call them rallies. the friendly protest rallies have been incredible. i do not think anybody has ever seen anything like it. this is before an election. these are long before an election, the incredible crowd we had in pennsylvania, virginia, in every state no matter where. north carolina, florida, no matter where we go we are having crowds like nobody has ever gotten before, not even close.
3:55 am
there is a level of enthusiasm. thousands of detractors in different states, the votes, thousands and thousands of votes, voters for trump, tractors for trump, farmers for trump. it is nice to see the level of enthusiasm. the situation with amy, i thought we settled this 60 years ago with the election of john f. kennedy. we are going after her catholicism. i will stand with her, fight with her, and we will make sure these attacks stop because it is unprecedented. they are basically fighting a major religion in our country. fighting catholicism is just incredible that they can be doing it. are you catholic, rudy? 29 supreme court vacancies have occurred during an election
3:56 am
year, well before inauguration. ever since going back to george washington, the president has performed his constitutional duty and nominated a justice and in almost every one of these cases over the past 230 years, when the president and the senate were the same party, the justice as you know it was confirmed. this is about two centuries, more than two centuries of precedent, and i think it will continue. amy is going to go quickly. i do not know if i have ever seen the republican party more unified. i think it was probably more unified than -- by the impeachment hoax. that really turned out to be a hoax. now you look at what is happening with the fbi and justice department, if you look at all of those text messages, emails that were sent. they spied on our campaign.
3:57 am
and everybody knew it. biden knew it, obama knew it, everybody knew it and the mainstream media it does not want to pick it up. cbs has done a fantastic job on it. we appreciate that. this is a major scandal. this is a scandal the likes of which nobody has ever seen. this is the biggest political scandal in the history of our country, with the exception of a few they do not want to write about it. you should write about that, kelly. you should write about it. you should do something on cnn about it because it is the biggest scandal of our time. it is the biggest political scandal perhaps in history. they spied on our campaign and then they tried for a coup that did not work out too well. the texts that came out over the last three days, it really was reversed.
3:58 am
it was the dnc and the democrats that were using russia. related or unrelated, hunter biden got $3.5 million. why did he get $3.5 million and then he got millions more from ukraine and he got millions more from china. who is hunter? these are questions that are very big on the internet. the biggest thing on the internet is exactly this. we will have to see how that turns out. for 2.5 years, ruining people's lives. it turned out to be just the opposite. it was the democrats that were dealing with russia and other things.
3:59 am
hopefully our attorney general and others working on this very hard, very diligently will lead to something that will be very important for our nation. it is one of the most important things. a central issue of the 2018 midterm elections was the kavanaugh confirmation. we picked up two seats, something that has not been reported on very much but we picked up two seats and expanded our senate majority to confirm supreme court justices. now democrats are brazenly attacking judge barrett again for her faith, mostly what i'm hearing for her catholic faith. whether it is diane feinstein or anybody else, they ought to treat religion with much more respect.
4:00 am
t is a disgrace she can do it. the party has been taken over by socialists, extremist, and probably communist. it could be many steps beyond. if they went, they will nominate justices who will destroy the american way of life and the american dream. they will destroy the american dream. it will destroy america, destroy the united states of america. your right to own a firearm will be totally eliminated. your guns will be confiscated. your religious faith would be devastated. they will abolish america's borders and give government health care to illegal aliens, which will destroy our health care system because so many
4:01 am
people will pour into our country. that is a tremendous incentive. on voter fraud, hopefully there will not be a very big movement, because obviously we will be able to win. we have a massive movement. i think we will have a tremendous victory. there will not be a transition, because i cannot imagine the kind of transition if we win. of course there will, we have a big problem. you see it happening every day with the balance. we are greatly concerned about the democratic assault on election integrity. 25% of mail-in ballots were ruled invalid during june's primary. in new jersey, 25% of the balance are being thrown out and people are being prosecuted for fraud. 35,000 mail-in ballots were
4:02 am
rejected in florida's primary at 100,000 were rejected in california. a week after the primary, half of the counties were still counting ballots and you will still be counting them here. this is a bigger version of that. a number of discarded military ballots were discovered in pennsylvania. all of the recovered ballots, ballots that were thrown out had been cast for a person named donald j. trump. it wisconsin, three trays of mail containing absentee ballots were found in a ditch. at three trays, that is a lot. in north carolina, voters are reporting receiving two ballots in the mail. i hear it is thousands, but they are getting two ballots. i wonder if those are democrat areas. last winter, you know what happened there in the iowa caucus. hat was not good, right?
4:03 am
in iowa, they still do not know who the winner was. it was many weeks later, but they have no idea and that continues to be -- and that is ittle. hat continues to be litigated. they cannot run a simple caucus, yet now they are trying to radically write election laws just weeks before the lection. i heard in new york today that governor cuomo wants to try to simplify the balance because he thinks they are too complicated. i agree with them. i think that is good, but you do not do that now.
4:04 am
you cannot do it now, it is too late. joe biden and the democrat extremists oppose all of these efforts to ensure election integrity. they opposed voter id. think of it. they have a picture for almost everything nowadays. you had a picture to get into the democratic national convention. did you know that? to get into the democratic national committee and, you have a card and your picture is on it. [indiscernible] very sacred right. we want proof of citizenship, a social security requirement. they do not want any of this to happen, and they want no signature verification. they do not want to have a ified signature. they oppose voter id. they opposed proof of citizenship. they oppose a social security
4:05 am
number requirements as a safety valve, and they opposed even simple signature verifications. they do not want to have signature verification. they want to require all states to do mail in balloting. i call it unsolicited. some people call it universal. nobody understands why universal - it is unsolicited. we are just sending ballots to whoever you can think of. we had a case i guess integers city -- in new jersey -- they got two names. i wonder if that was a democrat. it probably was. mailing millions of ballots who have not asked to have so millions of will be getting ballots. aybe they want them. maybe they will -- do not. if you look what happened in iowa. that was run by very smart people.
4:06 am
it was a very limited election. talking about doing that for the entire nation, and you can forget about november 3, because you will be counting those hings forever. it is very dangerous for our country. certainly transition, we all believe in transition, not only in transition but a very friendly but with the balance, the system is rigged. obviously it is. the only one that knows that better than me are the democrats. they go into closed rooms and they must laugh like hell at what is going on. this is the beginning. i talk about it now at the rallies. all of those people are watching, eyes and ears, tens of thousands, but there is no justification for these extreme changes to the election. if you can go to the grocery store, you can have an id with
4:07 am
your picture on it to vote is so important. a lot of things are going on, very importantly though. very importantly is when you do you'll reporting, i think you ought to report on the fbi schedule because it is one of the great scandals in the history of our country, and i think people want to hear about it. if you look at the internet, you will see how people want to hear about it. and you know about it and it makes the media look so bad. and there is so much reporting. i could go into it right now but i am not going to. it would be a tremendous thing for the mainstream media. i think your ratings would go through the roof because people are tired of this fake stuff where you do not even talk about it. certainly the biggest political scandal in the history of our country by far, bigger than watergate, much bigger than watergate. they try to avoid it as much as possible. it is getting very hard to avoid.
4:08 am
we will take a couple of questions. you may have a question for these two wonderful people, very brilliant from the standpoint of politics i would say and law. if you have anything for kayl e.i.d. h, we would love to do that. >> last wednesday when you were speaking to the attorney general you said that federal judges were watching what was going on with mail-in ballots. do you open amy coney barrett is watching as well? president trump i think she has. i hope she is. i think we have made it a big issue. so many reports with funny ballots. i do not know if it would have been reported before, but all of these rallies with thousands of people last night as you know, and we were in harrisburg, pennsylvania. at the night before we were in virginia. 35,000, 30,000, those crowds are massive.
4:09 am
that is on very short notice. all of those people watching. we have eyes and ears now that we would not have had. i am sure that she is watching and i am sure that everybody is looking at it. >> did you discuss the election with her? pres. trump: no, i did not. i watched over the years as presidents would interview and talk and make a decision on the supreme court justice. i am surprised they would not talk about various things. they would not talk about things that are very important. i do not know that it is inappropriate, but i have gone y that custom. >> democrats are arguing that acb puts in danger not only roe v. wade but another of number decisions.
4:10 am
do you think they are correct? res. trump: i think she is going to rule on the law. i think she will be a great justice for many years to come. i cannot say. you also bring up health. obamacare is terrible. we have made the best of it. we got rid of the individual mandate, which is great. we are going to protect people with pre-existing conditions 100%. if we can end obamacare and come up with a much better health care system that is much cheaper and much better, which is what we will do. on the other hand, if the court rules against, we will manage the system better. we have already essentially got rid of obamacare because we got rid of the individual mandate and it was based on that. we have done a tremendous amount because the individual mandate was the most unpopular aspect. you had to pay a lot of money for the privilege of not paying
4:11 am
or that health care. that was a terrible thing for people, and what we will do is if we are fortunate enough to get rid of the little remaining obamacare. the individual mandate, that was the central point and we won that. we already won that. it is no good. it is too expensive. it is bad coverage. you do not get your doctor, your plan. all of the things that president obama said you do not get, and if biden -- and biden to by the way. do not get your doctor, your plan. 28 times obama said you get your doctor, you get your plan. it turn out to be a lie. we are going to have a much better plan, and you will have
4:12 am
your doctor, your plan, a lot of things you did not get with obamacare. >> do you really believe that joe biden will be on any type of performance enhancing drug before the debate or are you joking? pres. trump: i am not joking. i'm willing to take a drug test. i think he should too. i watched him when he was debating pocahontas and harris who treated him so badly. i watched him. he was adamant, and then i watched him against bernie sanders and he was ok. he wasn't great, but he wasn't terrible. he was ok. a far depry -- you know what i'm saying. you look at some of those debates, i was saying there is no way he can continue. then he debated crazy bernie sanders and he was ok. how did he go from there from
4:13 am
those horrible performances we was ok. he is no winston churchill in debating but he was fine. people say that he was on performance-enhancing drugs. a lot of people have said that. a lot of people have written that. >> [indiscernible] trump: you can check out the internet. whether he was or not. would love to take a test and he can take a test too. >> obviously it is coming up. how are you preparing? [indiscernible] are you doing any prep at all? pres. trump: i am. these two gentlemen have been helping. >> who plays biden for you? pres. trump: i would say these two. they are five times smarter than leepy joe. we had debate prep before coming
4:14 am
ere. i think this whole thing is debate prep. i am taking questions from people all of the time. i have taken a lot of questions from you over there the last number of years. i watch the way he was treated on msdnc, and it was disgraceful. it was an embarrassment. i know her and she was a pretty tough reporter. the way she was helping him along with those. it was so obvious what was going on. she was giving him a question and then helping him to answer. i know her very well. she does not do that. it was embarrassing. play some of those clips, the answers where she was not able to give an answer and she is pushing him. they never do that with me. i can tell you but i do not have the kind of problems she has. >> [indiscernible] how many hours? pres. trump: i am running a country.
4:15 am
do not have the luxury. i have watched people go into a cabin, lock themselves into a cabin, and he came out and he was not very effective. he had so many other things going on. sometimes she can go too uch. i have never debated before but then i debated a lot four years ago and if you look at the polls, those polls that came out, hundreds of thousands of eople at time magazine and all of the different polls, according to those i when every debate. --won every debate. this is the polls. you might time magazine pull, his, that. you have the internet, phone calls.
4:16 am
according to that, i won every debate. i understand the subject. chris is tough. i hope chris will be equally tough on joe biden. i watched the young lady, i will ot say her name but it was embarrassing the way she was goading him along. i did ask about drugs. you cannot have a president that needs that kind of help. if you have a president that needs that kind of help when you have got to deal with putin and president xi of china and kim jong-un. you know there is no war going on with north korea, which they thought it was going to happen about one week after i came to be president. they thought it was going to happen immediately. no war. and that is saving perhaps millions of lives. 50,000 people, millions and millions of people could have died. >> [indiscernible]
4:17 am
a new york times story came out about an hour that says when you came to the white house you are paying about $750 a year in income tax. in your tax return, does that sound right? a couple hundred dollars year? pres. trump: it is totally fake. you could've asked me the same question to four years ago. i had to litigate this and talk about it. totally fake news. actually, i pay tax. it is under order. they have been under order for a long time. the irs does not treat me well. and they treat me like the tea party. they treat me very badly. you have people in the irs. they treat me very badly, but
4:18 am
they are under order. i would be proud to show. that is just fake news. the new york times want to create a little bit of a story. they are doing anything they can. that is the least of it. the stories that i read are so fake, so phony. >> [indiscernible] pres. trump: they only do negative stories. i do not think -- i used to get good stories from the "new york times" when i ran for office and happen to be a conservative republican. they predicted by loss four years ago. they did not apologize for that better reporting, that they predicted the fbi. that is proven to be a hoax. they got pulitzer prizes along with the washington post. they should give all of those prizes back because everything is wrong. there reporting was so bad, they were wrong.
4:19 am
there are people who should get pulitzer prizes, solomon, carter. they are not in the business of pulitzer prizes but sean hannity got it, lou dobbs got it, laura got it right, tucker got it right. other than great ratings, i do not know what they get. >> on the new york times story, you have to understand that americans read that you may have paid only a few hundred dollars in income tax every year, that seems very low as a billionaire. can you tell us how much you are paying? pres. trump: i paid a lot and i pay a lot of state income taxes too. new york state charges a lot. i paid a lot of money in state. it will all be revealed. it is going to come out.
4:20 am
i am being -- they are doing their assessment, we have been negotiating for a long time, things get settled like in the irs. when you are under audit, you do not do that. we are under audit, the story is totally fake. we had the same exact questions usually asked by the same people and that took place four years ago. this was so well litigated. it is incredible. if you look at the filings i have, i think i have a 108 pages of filings for all those different companies that do very well, obviously, because the filings -- nobody talks about that. you will learn much more if you look at those filings that i have to file every single year, but you will learn much more. those filings are very complete, they are very big, very powerful, they are very accurate. those are the filings that you will learn much more -- when it is done, when you're under
4:21 am
audit, you just do not release them. they treat me -- i am talking to him, you should be more respectful of this gentleman. you're very rude to him. i will tell you that i look forward to releasing that, i look forward to releasing many things. i'm going to release many things, people are going to be very shocked. the new york times has been doing fake story after fake story. i've never seen anything like it. people understand it, that is why the media has such a low approval rating now because what they have done. it is really a shame. go ahead. >> two questions. i was going to ask both you and governor christie and mayor giuliani, your guests have talked about possible bias against judge barrett's religion only two catholic bishops have
4:22 am
come out to say the same thing you have. is any effort being made by any of you to get the u.s. conference of catholic bishops? these other leaders -- pres. trump: we are in the process of doing that, i think it is horrible. they are playing the religious card, and you're talking about catholics. that is a very major religion in our country. chris, do you have anything to say? >> she will be strong, she will set up for what she believes in. pres. trump: she went through what i did four years ago in terms of different things, she went through and did very well, rudy, what do you think? >> the article in the new york times today reveals a very strong anti-catholic bias. it says in the article that atholicism and the american -- indiscernible]
4:23 am
what is the american --, what is their version of it? that's a horrible showing say. then it says catholics have difficulty separating public and private morality, i do not have difficulty separating public and private morality. what i see is a very strong anti-catholic attack and having listened to the john kennedy election, that article reminded me -- it should have been written before john kennedy. could a catholic be loyal to the united states? come on. >> let me repeat my question again, why are only two bishops within the church speaking out and will you make an effort to get the u.s. -- pres. trump: they will come out, this is day one, we have just started this. this is absolutely day one. they are going to be coming out very strong. the catholic church is very well united on this.
4:24 am
they are so thrilled that amy as chosen. it has been 24 hours, it is been a very short period of time. they are going to come out very strong. >> thank you for the briefing, you talked earlier about some of the subject joe biden has been refusing to answer questions on, ukraine, even china and obamagate -- pres. trump: and the press does not ask those questions. >> do you think joe biden will be able to answer those questions? pres. trump: we are going to find out, a lot of things will come up in the debate. that will be one, his son did not have a job. he had difficulties and suddenly he is making millions of dollars as soon as his father becomes vice president, i think that will come up. i don't think joe can answer it frankly. i think there is only one reason he made all that money.
4:25 am
you have to say what about his involvement? hy did joe not get the billion dollars over to ukraine, for example until such time as they et go of a prosecutor that was investigate the company his son was involved with. i do not think they have answers. if we had a media that was fair, even just reasonable, this would be the biggest story for years and years and years. then you would be entitled to pulitzer prizes. not the fake kentucky that gives you these fake awards. -- committee that gives you these fake awards. it is a fair question, but it is hard to believe it when you see the kind of money that he has made from china. from russia, from the wife of the mayor of moscow gives him $3.5 million and nobody has any question about it. why did he get the $3.5 million? i will tell you because joe was in on it, there is no way that e was not.
4:26 am
and uses joe biden's plane, air ande 2 and they go to china he comes back and he never mentioned it to his father that he just got $1.5 billion. now it is turning out that is much more money than that. they have a member of the china's commonest already gave him a lot of money. the press has no interest in these stories, it is very disheartening for the people of our country. >> if he tries to dodge the uestions are you prepared with facts and information to answer that question? pres. trump: i have all the information, it just came out. i did not know about moscow, i million w about $3.5 from the mayor's wife. he is a very influential man in russia as you know, it was not me. i did not have anything to do with russia, that came out loud and clear.
4:27 am
they should've not gone into this fake muller investigation and it also came out of that 31 phones that were wiped clean should not have been wiped clean and that is a metal act and bloomberg should not be paying for prisoners to go in florida and go and vote. which is totally illegal, you are paying prisoners -- i hope he has not done it yet. this is what he wants to do so that he can ingratiate himself to the democrats after they made him look like a total fool at the debate. what they did to him is incredible and that he goes out and spends money, it shows you the problems he has got. for him to go out and buy votes, i don't know. are you allowed to go tell people you'll go votes -- go vote and pay for them? yep, please go ahead. [indiscernible] >> there has been indiscernible]
4:28 am
azerbaijan, civilians are killed nd according to the official from down there, that came from -- what is your comment on the? pres. trump: we're looking at it very strongly, i learned about it today and yesterday and we are looking at it very strongly. we have a lot of good relationships in that area, we'll see if we can stop it. thank you very much. >> you claimed it zero dollars in income tax.
