events as they happen throughout the day is john mcardle. guest: the numbers we are working on is the associated press numbers, looking to them for results and calls. you may see other numbers and calls elsewhere, but we will be going back to the associated press numbers. to take you to the presidential battlefield, the map you just saw, president trump and joe biden separated this morning with 60 electoral votes to get. joe biden at 264 electoral votes , president trump a 214. joe biden picking up electoral votes yesterday when the associated press called michigan and wisconsin. president trump currently up in pennsylvania. still about 10% left to count in pennsylvania.
10:02 am
a lot of eyes on the keystone state today. to georgia, it is getting razor thin. 49.6% for president trump, 40 9.2% for joe biden. north carolina, estate not officially called, although there is about 5% of the vote expected to still come in. president trump leading 50.1% to 48.7%. the silver state of nevada. to biden ahead 49.3% president trump's 48.7%. we are expecting the next batch of results to start coming in about 9:00 local time in nevada. i mentioned the associated press calls earlier because that has a lot to do with what is going on in arizona. the trump campaign and trump supporters very upset with the associated press and fox news calling arizona late on election night or early yesterday morning
10:03 am
for joe biden. 50.5%den up in arizona, to president trump's 48.1%, but the trump camp looking for the associated press and fox to pull back that call as they are looking for more ballots to be counted in arizona. we will be watching that throughout the morning. now we take you to the senate battlefield. here is what the map looks like in the senate. four races yet to be called. races in north carolina, in alaska, and it in georgia. the special election in georgia and the regular election in georgia. david perdue looking to hold onto his seat and kelly loeffler, the republican, looking to win the special election to complete the full term. she was appointed to take over the seat of retired senator johnny isakson. that is the senate battlefield. we will note yesterday were two calls made in the senate race in michigan.
10:04 am
gary peters, the democrat holding onto his seat, and in maine susan collins holding onto her seat. we will look for the rest of the senate calls throughout the morning. here is the state of the house battlefield. seats,ts have 204 democrats who have been reelected or elected for the first time, republicans 190 seats. those are the official calls. 41 races yet to be called in the house battlefield. that is what the map looks like on your screen. if you dig into the numbers, of those 41 outstanding races, nine are in new york, nine of the 27 house seats in new york have yet to be called. also nine races yet to be called in california. of the 53 house seats in california, four in pennsylvania, two in illinois, and one of those in illinois is the head of the democratic congressional campaign committee , that is the campaign arm of house democrats, a committee
10:05 am
that is, under scrutiny after house democrats underperformed what was expected to be a decent amount of gains and what is likely to be a handful of republican gains when it comes to the united states house. one other c2 note in new jersey. congressman jeff van drew who switched parties from democrat to republican, the freshman member of the republican conference, his race yet to be called in new jersey's second district. a lot to keep an eye on this morning. we will do it all for you as we continue to take phone calls. host: we will take those calls and talk about legal challenges. walter starts is often north carolina, supporter president trump. you are on. go ahead. walter from north carolina? hello? caller: how are you. host: you are on. go ahead. sayer: i would like to thank you for letting me have
10:06 am
this phone call. i am for trump and i think he has been cheated on. hello? host: go ahead. caller: i am for donald trump good i am sorry he is getting cheated on by the democratic party. i do not understand why over the last four years the crimes have been committed, they have not been arrested and charged. host: ok. caller: i do not understand that. committed all this fraud moneywise, he has not been charged, yet he is running for president. i think they should file charges in court. int: let's go to susan germantown, maryland, supporter of joe biden. let's go. caller: thanks for taking my call. i want to say what is going on right now is no surprise to me, what trump is doing.
10:07 am
election,o steal this he does not want all of the votes counted. when he came out at 3:00 and declared victory he was called abc.y both fox news and it does not surprise me. the fact that democrats did not do as well in the house and the senate did not surprise me much, either. we have to consider the movement because of what is coming. i will tell all the trump supporters, you know what is coming in 2040. according to the census, minorities will be the new majority, whites will be the new minority. it is already happening. host: let's hear from jason in falls church, virginia. a supporter of president trump. caller: i am calling because i am worried -- i am pretty sure
10:08 am
this is the largest voter fraud execution in american history in 4:30nsin between 3:30 and they found 130,000 pallets for joe biden. in michigan they found 200,000 and in for joe biden pennsylvania between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. they found one million ballots for joe biden. this is not the first time they've attempted a coup against this president. they did it with ukraine, trying to impeach him while the fbi has their hands on the hunter biden intop in 29 did -- in 2019 december, even before they started the impeachment. host: you think the president's legal challenges will go anywhere? caller: i think that what is happening is the media, including fox news, which people keep saying is for the president , they are going to create the narrative he has lost, i think
10:09 am
either today or tomorrow or sometime this week they will announce joe biden has the 270 before any of the legal challenges can be followed through with. by the time the courts are able to deal with everything and the voter fraud is exposed, the narrative will have been set at joe biden one, there are demonstrations that will go on in the streets with people celebrating trump's out of office and it will create another massive civil unrest between left and right, and it is used to divide the country. they are trying to spark a civil war. host: let's go to william in mississippi, supporter of joe biden. caller: i think it is a good thank youst of all, for having me on the show and thank you for the job you do. what i want to say, i am all for the counting. virusne knows we had the
10:10 am
and what else could you do? i want to say i am all for the vote. thank you so much. collars.t some of the if you want to call us, 202-74 8-8000. support joe1 if you biden. if you support a third-party candidate and you want to give 202-748-8002. christian in arizona, supporter president trump, hello. caller: thank you so much for taking my call. projectionse what the associated press or nbc or cnn or any media makes. the democratic party media that they own, they do not run elections. that includes fox news. if they refuse to acknowledge
10:11 am
trump's-- acknowledge win causing people to throw it up or tantrum because they cannot get their way, but donald trump was reelected and we will fight it out in the supreme court. it will start in the state supreme court and it will move its way up, or we will start at the federal, move through the district, up to the supreme court. when all is said and done, donald j. trump will have been found there were irregularities that had happened in the election, and whether we have to vote again or trump is declared the winner, he will be the president when it is all said and done. host: if that does not happen? caller: if it does not happen? it will happen. like i said, i do not care what the media says. they can say that joe biden is the president until they are blue in the face, but when all is said and done, when the truth comes out, we will all know that
10:12 am
this election, that fraud did happen in this election, and because of the fact that the supreme court is now conservative, we will find out that president trump will be our president after 2021. host: that is christian in phoenix, arizona. some of those thoughts on the legal challenges made by our viewers on facebook. "keep counting. thousands of other volunteers spent hours calling democrats to request an absentee ballot. keep listening to trump wine. either could still win." " voter fraud at its finest. bided to not win. wait and see." " let the electoral board do their job. a lot going on when it comes to the legal challenges." guest: let's dig into that a
10:13 am
little bit more. this is the headline from the associated press, trump susan three states laying the groundwork for contesting the outcome of the election. those dates pennsylvania, michigan, and georgia, where the trump campaign is mounting new legal challenges. the trump campaign calling for a temporary halt to the counting until had his and given "meaningful access" and allowed to review ballots that have already been opened or processed. the ap story noting the trump campaign seeking to intervene in a pennsylvania case that deals with whether ballots received up to three days after the election can be counted. trump's campaign has also announced it will ask for a recount in wisconsin, state the associated press called for bided wednesday afternoon. the campaign manager excited irregularities in several wisconsin counties without providing specifics. president trump taking to his twitter page to comment about these lawsuits. this was his tweet yesterday
10:14 am
evening around dinnertime on the east coast. "our lawyers have asked for meaningful access, but what good does that do? the damage has already been done to the integrity of our system in the presidential election itself. this is what should be discussed." the joe biden campaign reacting, joe biden saying "no one is going to take our democracy away from us, not now, not ever." tom wolf of pennsylvania reacting to the lawsuits in the president's comments, saying on twitter we have seen efforts across the country to undermine this election, including a lawsuit from the trump campaign to block the counting of ballots , the counting of your vote. this goes against the principles of our democracy and the right of every american citizen. governor tom wolf goes on to say are election officials should be free to do their job without intimidation or attempts to subvert the demo -- the attempt to subvert the democratic
10:15 am
process are disgraceful. pennsylvania will count every vote and make sure your voice is heard. democrats top election lawyer mark elias with a series of tweets. two of them calling the trump campaign filing "meritless lawsuits." he says "they know they have lost and this is all they have left." has anyone to tweet " explained to trump that filing lawsuits is not the same as winning lawsuit?" rudy giuliani was in philadelphia talking about these lawsuits. here is a bit of what he had to say. guest: this is among one of the most -- >> this is among one of the most anti-democratic things i have ever encountered. it is going on all over the country. we have filed a lawsuit. the lawsuit required when these you knowallots, that
10:16 am
are highly suspicious anyway, the form of balloting always considered the most prone to fraud, that is according to the new york times when it's not apply to president trump, we were supposed to be allowed by law to observe the counting of the ballots. observe means, to any intelligent person, being able to look at it. the way it is interpreted by the democrat crooked machine of philadelphia is the observers can be 20 or 30 feet away. never able to see the ballot itself. never able to see if it was properly postmarked, properly addressed, properly signed on the outside. all of the things that often lead to disqualification of ballots, or make it easy to dump 50,000 fraudulent ballots because they are not observed.
10:17 am
hours while for 20 all of you thought there was a legitimate count going on in philadelphia. it was totally illegitimate. we went back to court and we went before a democrat judge. no need to tell you what the result in philadelphia was for a democrat judge. obviously a political hack who does not know the meaning of the word observe. observe means to be able to look. not a single republican has been able to look in any one of these ballots. they could be from mars as far as we are concerned, or they could be from the democratic national committee. joe biden could have voted 5000 times as far as we know. the ballots could be from camden. philadelphia has a reputation for voter fraud. we have a reputation for dead people voting. we will look at how many dead people voted. we should not have to do that but we well. you have reputation of people
10:18 am
being bused in from camden. would not be the first time that happened. this goes way beyond any of that. let me also add this is not happening just here. we have exactly the same lawsuit in wisconsin, where exactly the same thing happened, except in morningn at 4:00 in the , 120,000 ballots appeared. here come these ballots. we have no idea if they are ballots. we have no idea if they are signed, if there postmarked properly, if it is not just the same person who submitted 100,000 ballots. they all got counted. this is the way they intend to by good now i'm informed former congressman sweeney, who has been going around the country collecting this information, a similar situation in arizona, a similar situation in nevada, and a similar
10:19 am
situation -- what my missing? in michigan. detroit, michigan. let me be specific what it is. this whole new thing that never happened before in our country, -in ballots, which can easily be fraudulent. one of the things the law attaches is the right for both parties to observe the ballots. the way we do with absentee ballots to make certain it is ,roperly signed on the outside you make sure it is properly , you make sure it is properly addressed, and then you pass on it. the number of these are often challenged by the democratic representative for the republican representative. we have not had a chance to look at a single one of them. the gentleman here who did this for us says about 100,000 ballots went through that
10:20 am
process and the 20 plus hours in which they wasted his time by not allowing him to see a single ballot. whichs 120,000 ballots should be taken out of the account. you want to look at that number, that 120,000 should come out. this is an area of which joe biden is getting 60% or 70% of the vote. i do not know this is going on any other place, but it is going on with enough frequency in wisconsin, and that we have to look at three other places. what it says to me is this is a crooksed effort of the that run the democrat party. you know these big-city machines are crooked. you know that. 20 years, 30 years, four years, 50 years, 100 years of one-party rule leads to corruption of all kinds. voter fraud is one of the biggest because that is how you keep your power. we will not let them get away with it.
10:21 am
they will not steal this election. this election is decided by the people. these people, the elite, they do not care about the people. the deplorable's, the chumps. they are not important. trump, he is the whole reason he ran for office. he is the whole reason for which he is carrying on his campaign, so your vote can mean something, so your vote does not get wiped out by 100,000 fraudulent paper ballots that no one gets to observe. we are going to continue the lawsuit. we will bring a second one. we will bring a federal lawsuit, and we will take a very good look at whether we bring this nationally. certainly we will bring it here and in wisconsin. quite possibly we will do a national lawsuit and really expose the corruption of the democrat party. host: there was more to that event, and if you want to check
10:22 am
it out you can do so at c-span.org. sandra from south carolina, thanks for going on -- thanks for holding on, go ahead. caller: i am sick and tired of what is going on. we are seeing people -- we are seeing evil. i am a supporter president trump. we have a supporter that loves america, that is bringing jobs back, that is taking care of america's borders, and he has fought all along against a democrat congress that has been the crookedest i've have ever in my life seen and i do not understand how people cannot see this. does people not have common sense anymore? the democratic party will lie, cheat, and steal, and that is what they are doing. i want america to say they are tired of this and get up and fight. say i am mad as hell, i'm not going to take this no more. let's fight this because it is people. did they not -- because it is
10:23 am
evil. did they not see joe biden is sick? he should be under a doctor's care. my husband died of dementia. that man is in no shape to run this country. host: we go to dean in louisville, kentucky. republican. a did joe biden carry pennsylvania? host: pennsylvania has not been called yet. i think pennsylvania goes to donald trump. they do not know who is going to be the winner. talk about fox news corruption. give me a break. i am a republican. dodger, he called us suckers. he said i'm not going to fight for my country.
10:24 am
he loves patriotism when some one else gets killed. host: greg in michigan, a supporter of joe biden, hello. caller: thank you for taking my call. we have a lot of intelligent people who called your show. i am for joe biden and harris and i have been a lifelong .emocrat i know there are bad parts on both sides, but we have a president who does not care about the average individual. the average individual in this country does not make $700 million a year. that could things be, there is always little truth to the rumor no matter how you do it. i think joe biden and kamala harris would be good for the country.
10:25 am
they keep saying with them in office there will be socialism, and i do not think that true. i think joe biden has been the vice president for eight years. he brought back general motors and crisis. -- and chrysler. i think he is working for everybody, not just certain people. i have friends of mine who are trumpers for sure, but we are still friend. accusinglling in and of wanting to get giuliani or donald trump to look into hunter biden. hunter biden is not running for president. it is joe biden. host: we go to shane in lakewood, california. our line for others. i voted for dr. jo jorgensen this year. we all know she is not going to win, but the third party is getting bigger, and i think we
10:26 am
are all tired of fighting back and forth between the democrats and republicans. that is for sure. jo jorgensen think performed better than gary johnson or how do you think she performed overall? ,aller: if i remember correctly she got about 80,000 votes in california and i'm pretty sure that is a few thousand more than what gary johnson did in 2016. host: what brought you to the libertarian party in the first place? of the twom tired party system. i do not think it has worked out. i think we need a change and i think the libertarian party should bring that change. host: how so? there are things like the whole decriminalizing drugs. in oregon they have decriminalized magic mushrooms,
10:27 am
left, but alsohe stuff like your second moment rights. that is right. it is right in the middle. host: janine in maryland, a supporter of joe biden. hello. caller: i have two points. my first point for people complaining the democratic party is cheating, it is simply not true. what we have watched over the course of a couple of months is fake ballot boxes by republicans being put in place in different states like california. dejoy taking out sorting machines that make it easier to process ballots, process the mail. militia groups intimidating voters at the polls. that is cheating by the republicans. my second point is what we are witnessing is the democratic party has a diverse party.
10:28 am
supportd brown people democrats overwhelmingly. it looks like they have come out to vote in large numbers. the president is the one who disparaged people voting by mail. if anybody should be upset about vote for trump, it is trump. he said for many months that the mail-in ballot process was fraudulent. even his own operatives, his republican operatives said you should not say that because a lot of people vote by mail. you should encourage your supporters to do so also. do not get mad at the democrats because the democrats did not listen to trump. that is denise in maryland , part of the first half-hour of calls as we have seen them when it comes to this year's election.
10:29 am
for more information on that and other things, john mcardle. focus lion share of the on the presidential race in these final states in the all-important electoral vote count and the outstanding senate and house races as well. also want to keep you updated on what is happening on capitol hill. we will show you tweets from c-span's capitol hill producer, who notes that the house is holding its first postelection session today, but no votes are scheduled to take place until monday. today at 10:30 there will be a pro forma session. the party leadership election for the next congress will be held later next week. when it comes to those leadership elections, the leadership of house democrats is question at this point. craig kaplan noting how democrats are holding their first postelection caucus call today to discuss announcer:
