[inaudible] mr. speaker, thank you. i want to tell the house across the free world we will be doing more to protect the people in

ukraine and will be taking out more details from the house later on. thank you, mr. speaker. a condition that kills 2,000 every year needlessly most do not know anything until it devastates. so many are preventable by identifying those at risk and an accurate diagnosis. with the pre- minister commend the work and working with all aspects about the condition and will he commit to genetic screening for it?

>> may i say to my honorable friend as a passionate advocate she's completely right the treatment is crucial and that's why i'm pleased the institute for health research will meet at the earliest convenience. thank you, mr. speaker. the typical bill is going up by 700 pounds next month and that is because of pressures before russia invaded ukraine. the solution 200 pounds for every household paid back in mandatory installments over five

years. it's a big gamble behind the policy was that energy costs would drop quickly after a short spike. to meet the long-term impacts of the spike and energy prices i will be taking out an energy independence plan to end sure ensure thatwe undo some of the .

and so that we prepare people for the long-term and at the the sustainable energy supplies working families are facing a 700 pounds spike in april. they won't even receive the 200 pounds load for the chancellor until october for the wholesale price so now by october when it finally comes in, the household bills shoot up by another thousand pounds so i ask when is the prime minister r going to force the chancellor? if he is asking to you turn on the support i think that he is

absolutely out of his mind. we are going to continue to give support as needed throughout the epidemic with unprecedented levels and the reduction. there is a 20 billion-pound package that we are giving the people and we will continue to do more. we will see how long that position lasts. let me try to help the pre- minister.

they made 9.5 billion pounds and shall made 14 billion pounds. since then it's skyrocketed and so will their profits. the net result would be to put them up higher.

it is to take a sober responsible approach and end dependence on the hydrocarbon. protecting energy profits of working people, doesn't that say it all? >> britain can't afford another crisis like this. we need to improve our long-term energy security. that starts with supporting new nuclear and renewables. but they've effectively banned new offshore as a direct result of the approach we are using more gas every year.

that's ludicrous. so, will the prime minister relax the planning walls and in the block on offshore winds and stop supporting policies that make us so dependent on gas? >> thanks to the policy of the government has pursued for 3% of the gas needs unlike every other country and the saudi arabia of wind power with nuclear power [inaudible] 's.

>> so those were the people, mr. it's completely the wrong thing and i'm delighted to welcome them now. >> this prime minister cannot with a new nuclear plant. energy security is also about refusing demand the end of the least efficient in europe. that's why labor set out a planned upgrade the 19 million that desperately needed it within a decade saving families 400 pounds on their energy bills

by 15% taking all the announcements together they will take 75 years to deliver the upgrades that we need. that's a lifetime that we need urgent action. to about 10% because of the decisions and we are helping households to the tune of 9.1 billion. why can we afford to bring the taxpayers money into the households i will tell you why,

the fastest growth. twelve years passed and that is the best that he could do? mr. speaker, the ukrainian people are fighting for democracy. we must stand with them. that means taking the tough measures and let's be honest there will be costs here at home we can with stand and must by using a windfall by starting a new era at the mercy of a dictator, supporting after new years of neglect so why is he

offering the same policy allowing the bills? >> and for nuclear as well as i stand overjoyed.

we work together to maintain our opposition to the files and that together with the possible military support for the people of ukraine. i have no doubt that it will be done days ahead and it difficult times we will come through stronger. there would be over 30 meters high and cover the equivalent of over 2,500. it does my right honorable friend agree the company seeks to do something like this and

why and what the environmental impacts will be. he's a fantastic champion and as i understand we would expect him on the proposal and i know they would have heard the points of my honorable friend. fourteen days and in that time i will continue to seek to do this when it comes to the refugee crisis. poland has taken over 1.2

refugees and hungary has taken over 190,000 refugees. germany has taken over 50,000 and italy over 7,000. ireland a country of over 5 million has given site to as many refugees as the united kingdom. these numbers don't lie. does the prime minister find that accessible one of the most bureaucratic refugee responses in the whole of the universe? >> mr. speaker, i think everybody emphasizes and this government wants to do everything we can and if that is what we are doing and the number is almost a thousand and they will rise very shortly as we

expect them to rise in the regions of hundreds of thousands as he doubles down on the attacks there will be routes by which the whole country can offer a welcome to those fleeing and as the secretary of state will be setting out the course of the next few days the government has a proud record to reset the people more than any other country.

the government would set aside. the scandal [inaudible] the inhumane nationality, the uk home office do not let the history of failure repeat itself so would the prime minister join with the rest for those fleeing the war and re-create [inaudible] >> this country has an unparalleled record -- a

government unlike any other. and we understand how much the refugees have to give to the country and how much the country has to gain and we will be generous, mr. speaker. making sure that in those neighboring countries the uk is out and frowned giving the humanitarian assistance. we are also the single biggest of humanitarian aid.

thank you very much. what i just said in my earlier answers this government is unlike any other in our understandings of what the refugees can given the benefits to the country and we've done more than any other to deserve a huge opportunity and a roadway

which the british people not just the hundreds of thousands but by which everybody in the country to those fleeing ukraine in the course of the next few days. the prime minister will be aware of the pressures facing those across the united kingdom including in northern ireland with an increase in the cost of meeting homes and a motor vehicle and increase has more than doubled in recent weeks. well the pre- minister committed to spring forward a package of measures including reducing or cutting and will he ensure that those measures apply to northern

ireland where the protocol once again presents a problem in this government taking control over the affairs of all the united kingdom's and well it applied to the whole of the united kingdom? >> we will make sure we do everything. we will ensure they continue to be protected along with everybody in the uk from the cost of living crisis but the thepressure on energy will conte and we need a solution and that is what we will be setting out.

the food and drink manufacturers given the importance to the country as a sector to ensure its competitiveness and high degree of self-sufficiency will the pre- minister announced the opportunity for many of the proposed regulatory burdens such as the promotional and marketing restrictions to affect this important sector at this critical time? >> mr. speaker, he is absolutely right it is a crucial issue affected by the cost of energy and there is a separate issue to deal with childhood obesity with past measures giving more time

to adjust to the impact of those measures. >> our constituents are reporting the energy companies are doubling units at 4%. my question is why. it's incorporated differently in the uk and we will do everything in our power as we already are, mr. speaker. but what it means.

the bilateral humanitarian aid and we have two very generous themes this is a government that believes in welcoming people. look at our record and what we have done. it's not just for innovation but a showcase for the impact it can have. it was fantastic to see the

upgrade of the network to help to bring the high skilled jobs with leveling up. >> in the months before world war ii, the uk took in over 60,000 jewish refugees and over half a century ago we took in over 27,000 expelled. since then bosnians escaping genocide and syrians but this week the home office turned away hundreds of ukrainian refugees that didn't have the right paperwork.

since the home office isn't up to the task will they send in the personnel to come in quickly and safely. >> thank you very much. what he says about the uk is completely wrong. we've already got a thousand and that number will climb very sharply. look what we've done already. 15,000 from afghanistan from hong kong and chinese no one has

been turned away. we want to be as generous. it's important to have checks. there were some people who would like to dispense with checks altogether. they have a different arrangement as i said in answer to a previous question they singled out the approach and we know how he can be in his method to the necessary security risks.
