auto workers for trump. brian, where are you? here we are, man. that guy is working so hard and told me a story that happened today or yesterday -- today, you cannot make this up, providence is smiling on the trump campaign and doing a rally in an auto plant and right at the moment they were doing the rally outside, fire alarm went outside and they started cheering. auto workers are going for trump. that is a good thing. so, i'm going to tell you, the last couple of weeks i have been having such a good time that i started to feel bad for tim walz. the spirit of bipartisanship is

alive and well right now because i realize i have the easiest job in american politics and tim walz has the hardest job in american politics. think about this. he has to go around and try to convince the american people that harris didn't cause it and didn't open the american southern border and even though she bragged. he has to pretend that kamala harris is ready to lead even though afraid to answer a tough question from a reporter. think about my job, i have to talk about the fact that when donald trump we had the lowest inflation we had in 40 years. i'm going to talk about the fact when donald trump take-home pay was rising faster than it had in a generation and i get to talk

around the united states and we closed the border. now that is a record that we're all proud of and record that in just 12 short days and bring back to the oval office and make donald trump the president-elect of the united states. now i got to say, too, kamala harris is an interesting person, i never saw a person democrat or republican who has no idea what she wants to do when she's president. these interviews that she does -- now normally they would say a softball interview is the best thing for a candidate because you get asked a question and talk about whatever you want to. the problem we realize with

kamala harris with the softball interview you have to hit a softball. and every time that kamala harris does an interview, we gain 50,000 or 100,000 votes. now i'm going to say something to the great people of michigan here because you know, i am a political candidate, take kamala harris in her own words. she gave an interview to a program called "the view." this is my sacrifice ladies and gentlemen. i watched her on "the view" so you don't have to. that is the hardest part of my job. she was on the show and i was in tucson, arizona. you probably saw jason miller.

jason calls me and he is like a kid it night before christmas, senator, did you see this interview? they asked her whether she was going to do anything from joe biden and she said nothing comes to mind. now, again, the clips are out there, go and watch the clip where they asked kamala harris, would you have done anything differently from joe biden and says nothing comes to mind. in her defense, that could be the slogan of her campaign. nothing comes to mind. because there's no substance at the kamala harris campaign and no agenda at the kamala harris. all there is a record of higher prices unaffordable groceries and open border and mixed

message. in 12 days kamala harris is going to be, you are fired, go back to san francisco. we don't need you in the white house. now, one of the reasons i love to be in michigan we have the proudest tradition of crafts manship and making things in the great state of michigan. i'm a buckeye. i'm hard to say nice things about michigan, but we thank you. the votes that matters, the battle that matters is making donald trump the next president of the united states. can the lion lying down with the lamb. thank you. so here's the thing under donald trump, the american auto industry, our auto workers were

thriving and the reason we were doing better is because donald trump recognized that republican and democrat leaders, both parties had neglected that a foreign corporation want to use slairve labor in china or mexico and only way to protect american workers is tariffs. slap a big tariff and that's how you protect michigan auto workers. now you see kamala harris, she is attacking the concept of tariffs, when you attack that, you are attacking the auto industry. not that she wants to destroy it but wants to tax all of us so we can buy electric vehicles made in china. it's the worst economic plan in this country and especially bad

for the people of michigan. here's the thing, all of the mining is done in china. all of the materials and the supply chain is in -- china. we are going to attack and force them to buy cars, donald trump says this is america and ought to drive whatever the hell car you want to. that is presume one. and presume two is we ought to be buying cars and buying automobiles that are made in the united states with michigan crafts manship and michigan workers. let's just recount a couple of the bad things that has happened to the auto industry since kamala harris became our vice president. it would lay off 2500, the folks

that are making the ram 1500 and those jobs are being destroyed. last year, general motors laid off 1300 workers at two michigan plants and ford is rolling back electric vehicle production. that is the record of kamala harris and that is the record of a person who is trying to destroy the michigan auto industry. here to the workers and families, my solemn promise when donald trump is in the white house you will have a fighter and people who will go to work in michigan auto factories every single day. and i have to say more bad news, i'm going to give unite mare fuel to make sure she doesn't become the president. her electric vehicle mandate trying to force every american

to buy an electric vehicle. most of them made in china and would put 117,000 auto workers out of a job. isn't that crazy? an american leader, a person who is running for president of the united states appear to not give a damn about one of the most important industries in the united states. and here is donald trump's plan and simple how to lower prices and bring back more manufacturing. number one, you have to make it cheaper to manufacture in the first place and make it cheaper for americans to buy energy. the answer is drill, baby drill. that is the energy plan that is going to put this country back on track. number two, kamala harris, let's do compare and contrast. she is running around saying she is going to raise your taxes.

normally the ones who want to raise your taxes lie to you. but kamala harris is saying she wants to raise taxes on american workers and reward corporations that shift jobs overseas and that gets it upside down. donald trump is going to cut taxes for american workers and punish corporations that are shifting jobs overseas. while kamala harris opened the american southern border and bragged about it on day one and became the border czar and did 94 executive orderers stopping donald trump's and opening up the flood gates and not just that, not just that she welcomed illegal aliens into this country in record numbers but she wants

to give them free social security and medicare. it ain't free because you all are paying for it. here's the difference between kamala harris and wants to open the country to millions of illegal aliens and promising to give them free housing and social security benefits. donald trump says pack your bags, because you are going back home. now the media always talks about compassion, the need to be compassion nature. we ought to be compassion nature. number one, our compassion, american leadership, compassion has to start with american citizens with people who have the right to be here in the first place. think about this, when you let

in millions of illegal aliens what the media never talks about, how about compassion for american children who can't get a good education because the school districts are overwhelmed with people who can't speak the local language. how about we talk about compassion for the millions of americans who are mourning their family who brought in fentanyl. how about compassion for people who are waiting for three and four hours in hospital emergency rooms because we let in so many people that the american sittenry can't get it let's get compassion for those american citizens. and let's have compassion for the millions of young americans who would like to buy a home and

can't because housing is unaffordable in the united states of america. and this is something my friends the press never wants to talk about this. if you want to solve the housing problem and make housing affordable. cut out the ridiculous reek you layings. you have to build more housing. but number two, you have to make sure that american homes go to american citizens and not the people who have no legal right to be in this country. think about this. when you let 25 million people in your country, you have to put them somewhere. and a lot of them are staying in five-star hotels at taxpayer expense and a lot of them are taking homes. i don't begrudge anybody who wants to come to the united

states and make a better life and you have to come through proper channels and do it the right way. and number two, we need an american president who recognizes the first responsibility of that president is to the american citizenry and need donald j. trump back in the white house. it is so amazing, i have been running for vice president for three months and you get a perspective on this country that will make you so hopeful and optimistic and i have faithful in your dreams, talents and abilities and on the other hand i'm frustrated because those dreams and talent are being held by the broken leadership of washington, d.c.. i hope all of us as frustrated we get with kamala harris'

leadership and angry that kamala harris is promising to do more of the same, more of the same inflation and high grocery prices and open border when we concrete her out of the oval office, we will have golden prosperity. we have the best people, we just have to set them free. but here's the crazy thing of what we have done to this country. we have 425,000 criminal illegal immigrants in the united states. that is more than twice the size. we have marines over here. thank you for your service,

sir. we got the army, we got soldiers. go, army. how about the air force? air force folks in here? detailors? and we have the coast guardsmen. thank all of you for your service. and here's -- here's the thing that we have got to do a better job at. we have to remind americans and the people who put on the uniform that we respect, we love them and admire them and going to fight for them. and what kind of message does it send to american veterans when thousands of them are sleeping under bridges and on park bridges and we have 425,000

illegal criminal migrants in the united states of america. it sends the wrong message. when donald trump is president, we respect and honor every person who puts on the uniform and fight for you, your safety, security and prosperity.

we're only going to win if we get out there and vote and not get ourselves out there to vote but our friends and family. i'm going to make three requests before we turn over the floor to reporters. i want every single person in this room, in this hangar to get out there and vote 10 times. that is going to be the headlines. here's the legal way, the legal way we are going to vote, take ourselves to the polls and take nine friends and family with us. that is the good old-fashioned legal way to vote nine times.

you look at the margins, every single person gets 10 persons to the polls that is the difference between kamala harris and donald trump. and i know all of us, and do everything we could to get donald trump across the finish line. that's request number one. now request number two, i know a lot of you, i want you before the end taking questions and take a selfie, post it on whatever social media you use, texting and tell them why you are voting for donald j. trump. a lot of people aren't going to hear the truth not from the campaign or corporate media allies. let's commit to telling them the

truth that donald trump. here's the final request and i'm going to read this to get this right. swampthevoteusa. com. you can request an absentee ballot and checking your registration. right, pete. look, i'm the world's biggest critic of election season over election day. trump says it is what it is. and we have to dot exact same thing. the rules are the rules. we are going to win this game and win this game by playing by

the rules but if not everybody waits to vote. we have to vote and first and earlier. we started at a town hall outside of detroit and then we went and did the oakland g.o.p. headquarters where people were working hard and phone banking, but the thing we have got to remember is that the democrats are trying to bank as many votes as possible before election day and go in with the score as good as possible so why don't we get out there and vote and make our voices heard. we have to do it. if we do those things. if we do those things, we are going to win the election and give the american people a president who is fit to lead the greatest country and we are going to win michigan and united

states of america. god bless you guys. thank you for having me. i love this state. and i will be back soon. now, before we leave, we'll take a few questions from the reporters. local folks as we always do and go to the national pool afterwards. >> senator, good evening, i'm a reporter with fox 2 in detroit. as you know these polls are very tight, especially right here in michigan within the margin of error. i want to get your reaction to president trump's former chief of staff john kelly who said john would rule like a dictator and meet the definition of a fascist and i want to get your reaction, sir. sen. vance: record the boos and my response to that question.

here's the thing about what john kelly said. john kelly was fired by donald trump and pissed off about it. here's the thing every time john kelly says something happened, you have three or four people allegedly in the room saying he is making it up and mike pence's chief of staff said john kelly is making up a bunch of crap. who do we believe, multiple eyewitnesses or disgruntled ex employee. i think everything john kelly said is not true. john kelly didn't come out of his own volition, he talked to kamala harris campaign

beforehand. why are the media and why is kamala harris talking about a disgruntled former employee instead of the fact that grocery prices are up 25% in the state of michigan? instead of talking about something that happened five years ago, when she cast a vote and made housing, energy and groceries unaffordable for the people of michigan. and not as a vice presidential contender or political contender in this race, i speak as an american citizen and i am offended for my fellow american citizen when a president is running not what she is going to do but a bunch of petty grievancees shut the hell up

about what happened four years ago. next question. >> senator, john king with michigan advance. you you were talking about the centerpiece of former president trump's tariffs. tariffs are paid by the consumer. putting a tariff on anything is a tax on americans consumers. and if you could explain it. if that is wrong, explain how they aren't paying it. sen. vance: let me try to explain the theory. r.n.c. had a president who imposed tariffs and when that

president, inflation was 1.5%. we know that tariffs can protect american workers and keep inflation low. the second thing is we have to ask ourselves, let's say you are a factory and deciding to invest in the united states or manufacture in china, people making $3, i don't want american workers earning $3. here's the thing, you make the stuff in china at $3 and bring it into the united states and undercut the wages. if you impose a fat tariff on people trying to import that stuff, american factories invest in american workers and creates good jobs and good products and makes us more self-reliant. we have to remember the same

people that said tariffs always lead to price increases are the same people who said it will make our country richer. we should have learned the hard way during the covid pandemic. when hospitals couldn't get hospital gowns and surgical masks because all that crap was made in china, americans are paying more for health care and don't have the medicine and equipment and poor off and more reliant on our biggest adversary. that isn't a path to prosperity but to national slavery. trump's is a path to economic prosperity and freedom for the american people. >> i'm with 7 news detroit. with the auto industry such a

main focus of tonight, what does the future of the auto industry look like. is there any room for e.v.'s or hybrids? >> sure. but for those made in the united states of america. part of the reason tariffs matter, they give us leverage in negotiating against our competitors. you go to europe or china, how many american automobiles do you see on the road? very, very few. because they have decided to protect their native manufacturing industries where under kamala harris' leadership we said you are on your own and it doesn't make any sense. here's what it is going to look like. it doesn't matter what vance or

trump thinks it is going to look like. and they are going to determine what it is going to look like in 10, 15 years. what it looks like you have a lot of people driving gas-powered cars and driving an e.v. or hybrid. that's what i think the american people want. and donald trump economic agenda is about empowering americans to make their own choices and buy and live. thank you. >> i'm with the "detroit news." and spoke out about china battery and goshen was saying campaign manager is lobbying $1

million. sen. vance: i will read that story and understand what is going on there. president trump and i and i forgot out to give a shutout to and vote for mike rogers. but i think the simple fact is we want american businesses to hire american workers and invest. the problem with the goshen facility, we are talking about chinese investments, it makes us more reliant on the communist chinese party. the whole approach to economics if we are more self-reliant feuferl people on welfare. that means if we god forbid get

into a war that instead of relying on foreign corporations. let me give you two specifics. manufacturing g.d.p., china controls 32% of manufacturing g.d.p. the united states controls 18% of it. we used to be the manufacturing power of the entire world and going to get back to donald trump's leadership. last year for the first time in a very long time, america became a net importer of our food. you know what that means? we import more food than we grow for our own people. we don't make, we don't even grow the food necessary for our own people. that is the pathway on reliance on the worst people of the world.

i want people to be reliant on our own citizens. we'll do, do one more question. >> i work with wwj news in detroit. how will you hold the c.e.o.'s and help those people that are laid off? >> they do business in america. they have to follow american rules and laws and respect american workers and we are going to fight to make that happen. i think it is a very simple and want to make sure that corporations that are operating in this country actually obey our laws and one of the reasons that chinese firms are able to undercut american workers, look, clean air and clean water, if a chinese corporation is doing

business in a dirty way that poisons the environment. if they are not paying their workers they are undercutting. we have to be more self-reliant and protect our own country. and that is the donald trump plan. let me leave you with a final thought here. i reek noises. comer recognize we have 12 disand 11 days and a wakeup. and getting down to the wire and excited about it but we are so close to the end. here's what i would ask you to do and think of yourselves as fighters but fighters not just for a cause or set of ideas and especially for not political candidates and fighters for your fellow americans because there are a lot of people here that aren't at this rally and people

in the state of michigan that need better leadership in washington, d.c.. i remember when i was a kid and i was raised by my grandmother, my mother struggled with drug addiction and i remember ohio doesn't get as cold as michigan, and i remember sometimes times were types tight, she would say, we aren't going to throw on the heater but extra plank et cetera on the bed but get through this winter with finance is intact. we have the bountyful. if you work hard and play by the rules and ought to heat your home in a cold winter night. that's what we are fighting for. i have talked to mothers who have lost their kids -- their

kid was 15 and took something under pier pressure and that child lost his life because a bag of marijuana was laced with fentanyl and what would have been 20 years ago an innocent childhood mistake and end up with a head ache is costing american children their lives. a woman told me, the husband was close to retiring, they would do steak night every friday night. going to the grocery store and having that be their thing. it is the little rituals that make life worth link. and started doing it last year, grossies got too expensive. she stopped doing because groceries got too expensive.

over the next 11 days, think about what we are fighting for, that woman to have stake -- steak night and a kid like me when a grandmother can turn the heat on and american children grow up in neighborhoods safe enough where they can make a mistake and not cost their lives. and the way we are going to make their ways better is give the president. vote donald j. trump. god bless you all.
