obama. this gives mitt romney a little bit of a chance to regroup. a new poll out this morning has true swing independence. about a dozen battle states liking president obama but feeling ideal closer to mitt romney. obama's ratings were higher. he had 56% favorability versus mitt romney's 41%. and more talk this morning about possible romney v.p. pick. rob portman was front and center when clinton picked gore.
