bringing down violence may be changing the heart of the american people. romney did the interview from london where he will be in meetings with british leaders. it is not unusual for a candidate to make a trip like this, in order to set up relationships with our closest allies. president obama did do this in 2008. and the opening ceremonies open tomorrow night. and there is more u.s. memorabilia that is made in china. especially this lapel pen of mitt romney made in china. he is on record as saying the bricked used in the gateway in salt lake were cheaper than

good enough. the two hospitals are already safety net hospitals and already give more than $750 million in free care every year. more than 1.5 million colorado residents are either uninsured or under insured and as the atlantic notes the affordable care act would go a long way to giving many of those people access to adequate affordable coverage, and that way hospitals wouldn't have to take this kind of loss. there is also a new report out today from the new england journal saying that the extended health coverage could be a lifesaver for many people. we are back with more after the

illegal immigration -- >> he absolutely was. like i said i think he gets credit for doing some things. but i think he set into place any republican spin machine in which they would pursue policies that basically benefits only the very wealthy and large corporations, and put them in a tone or context that got many middle americans to believe they were going to benefit as well. and you had people in mississippi thinking that the, quote, death tax would help them, because the reagan -- and the republicans in the 1980s began to convince middle americans that tax breaks and deregulation and all of those things could somewhat benefit them. and that continues to this day. one of the things i hope we can do is to break this idea of sort of combining what is good for the rich people, what is good for the taxes funding them --

we were talking about guys who were constantly in trouble. and it was a constant theme, and how many people that think reagan was this great man even know about that. >> don't forget the october surprise. >> yeah. but cliff i think again it is really important in this year of the 99% and 1% and romney being with their nominee that to me is the main thing. many, many economies that were on the right have said it didn't work, and that's the same thing they are selling this year aren't they? >> that's correct. and one of the things we did on our video -- bill clinton had a remarkably better economic record than ronald reagan. so the republicans however say that the way to economic, you know salvation is through reagan's combination of tax cuts, trickle-down economics and the like. no one -- do people know that

bill clinton's policy, which included deficit reduction. slightly higher tax rates for wealthy people investment in infrastructure, created a much better economic system. so you have to put out there the truth which is that reagan's policies were not as successful as clinton's policies were and the idea that if obama tries to do anything that's proactive, he was getting in the way of what actually worked which was ronald reagan's no taxes, no government policy. clinton had probably the best economic record of the 20th century. and he did not do that by starving the government and letting wealthy people get away with paying no taxes, by not regulating the environment, you have to balance this. >> yeah, cliff you make the point so well for instance in the most recent example is george w. bush. we know policies that did not work. >> right. >> one of the debates i'm sure
