wing populist reason to feel confident. our correspondent at the conference in hanover mchale is the a.s.d. going to move even further to the right under this new leadership lineup. well in fact it actually just did i mean what we're seeing at the top is a leadership that is protecting who is this right wing extremist voice within the party who's actually been remarkably quiet over the past months came as a surprise to many delegates here in the room as well when that decision was taken when we saw this showdown between the more moderate bloc around. called mr patel ascii and in the end a candidate backed by the right wing of the party is that there really is so much support and that there is no way past this right wing block if you want to succeed for leadership post within the f.t.

so ever since they've really been holding meetings it has been about how much further to the right would they served well yet again the answer is there is no clear fence to right wing extremists no in-built power within the fifty. we heard in the report that the party is split between radical nationalists and more traditional conservative arms how united or divided is the f.d.a. . it is a deeply divided party and what we saw here is that there is actually no decision no made a major decision that can be taken without tapping into a potentially right wing extremist support base and this really raises questions for the future of the party and we heard from alexander garland the now elected party leader who was already co-leader of the parliamentary block that just entered the german bonus time that he doesn't really want to see the a fifty aim to go into

any kind of government position any time soon this feeling that they want to learn the lessons of the f.p. the right wing party in austria which feels that it might have actually entered that way too early really they want to be able to play at the level of the much more established parties before they head in that direction and there's the moderate bloc that really wanted to become more established much sooner and focus on policy to me it seems that for now the focus is much more on disrupting the political system and the killer with the f.t. could become the largest opposition party in the bundestag how would that happen and what would they be pushed through there how would they push their policies. well as many of our viewers will be aware. by now is that germany is having significant difficulties in forming a new governing coalition german chancellor merkel is trying to once again form

a so-called grand coalition with the social democrats who are partly playing hard to get to say really they don't want to enter that again they want to regroup after an election defeat but if there is a continuation of this grand coalition that would leave a fifty in a position with thirteen percent where is the largest opposition party and that would give it the first right of reply in parliament for instance it means a lot in terms of which positions it would get in different committees and that would really put a lot more responsibility on the f.t.'s soldiers for actually taking a lead in opposing whatever the future government will be thank you michaela costner and head over. at least thirteen people have been killed in two suicide bombings in northern nigeria police say two three male suicide bombers blew themselves up in the town of pew in borno state one struck the town's busy market the other detonated her explosives in the town square no one has claimed

a typical sign of boko haram and last but not least the fact that there were two bombings within a short period of time it's also an indication because it's a typical method of boko haram to cause as many casualties as many injuries as possible. don't poke around has not claimed responsibility john would you say that it's also a common tactic for the group to use female bombers. definitely so it's has become a very common tactic to use women often even teenagers or even children i think there are several reasons for this first of all usually they cause less suspicion even though this has changed a bit in the months after the rise of of those attacks but it's also quite simple to highlight the explosive devices underneath the outskirts of the women and we also have to mention that those women usually don't carry out the attacks
