this is the only news lie from berlin a move that could plunge the mideast into disarray u.s. president donald trump is poised to recognize contested jerusalem as israel's capital and move the u.s. embassy to the city he'll be delivering a speech in just a few moments and we'll be carrying it live for you here at d.f.w.
7:01 pm
news. thank you very much for your company donald trump is about to speak at the white house he's expected to announce a significant break with decades of u.s. policy and international convention by recognizing the contested city of jerusalem as israel's capital well that's despite warnings from the palestinians and arab nations in the middle east the doing so could spark unrest and lay to rest any hope of a permanent peace deal with israel all right and as i said we'll be carrying that live for you will be interrupting anything that we're doing and take you live to that but first off with all eyes on washington in what would be a historic development we've got team coverage for you to help us understand the significance and possible ramifications of this i'm to. and in the studio by shiny
7:02 pm
resign resign this east expert in jerusalem our very own tanya kramer has were supported extensively in both israel and the palestinian territories and weighing in firm in washington as well is correspondent carsten phenomena and i want to start off with karsten of course all eyes on washington why now what prompted this to happen. well it's difficult to say because the donald trump seems to really believe that your use of them is the capital of israel and the u.s. embassy should move there he promised to do this. during his election campaign and he wants to make good on that campaign promise obviously he postponed the move in summer when he signed the waiver as every president for the last twenty two years had to do to you have postponed implementation of a law that stipulates that the u.s. embassy should be in jerusalem donald trump did that as well after some u.s.
7:03 pm
allies from the arab world and also a number of his advisors. pleaded with him to do this but now he seems to want to make good on this campaign promise and the reason probably is that he has come to the conclusion that he needs to keep his base happy his approval ratings are low but his base his core supporters are sticking with him he wants to keep it that way because he needs those supporters to control the republican establishment in congress and part of that base of course is the conservative pro israel lobby and also christian evangelist groups that are allied to the pro israel lobby if you like and he wants to keep those people happy that is the most important motive for him at least in my assessment all right well let's go to tanya introduce some recognizing jerusalem at a time you know as the israeli capital without
7:04 pm
a negotiated peace deal that used to be off limits how much of a game changer is this. well it's certainly seen as a game changer for the palestinians i mean for the israelis this is good news i mean this is what they at least the government not always wanted an internal undivided capital but we have to wait and see what mr trump has actually say and how humans say it and this is what everybody is now waiting for to see what terms he will use how balances which will be but certainly for the palestinians it is very important to them and president abbas has made clear again and again over the past couple of days that the politicians will not give up on the aim to have a palestinian capital in east jerusalem for their future state and this is really a game changer for them because they have said if this goes it had the u.s. so will not be able to be an honest broker yet in the middle east and all this talk
7:05 pm
about a new peace plan by the trauma administration before it's even they'd be bored to so it would be very interesting to see how he will actually translate absolutely and that will be very indicative of the reactions that will see after that fashion i want to here with me in the studio want to come to you of course jerusalem what makes it so complicated is that it's also a sacred site for. jews christians and muslims if this happens does it have any ramifications on that on that level well would have to see most about a saudis tend because the saudis see them self as a protector of the muslim sides you know they have mecca and medina in saudi arabia and they have to islam course is always seen you know as part of a an arab asset the not just a palestinian asset this vest definitely what they were advocating for with the peace initiative back then in two thousand and five so if this is part of a bigger deal that is somehow coordinated with the saudis then this might on the ground mean very little you know or we might be able to find the muslim front door
7:06 pm
they both use the front a bit more restraint in its response but if we end up seeing that this is actually something going behind saudis back which i seriously doubt but this if this is going to be a surprise for the saudis as well as something that they're not approving of them this might become of course this might spiral out of control very fast but just a possibility entertaining the possibility that this is being done in conjunction with saudi approval i mean that's revolutionary what it is and we've been seeing this this slow progress towards you know saudi israeli alliance in the last year encouraged very much by trump himself and also by a by jason greenblatt his he is and envoy to the region as well as his son in law mr cushion or they've both been very strong ties with the saudis with these rallies and it's of course is a possible matching is a possible pairing because there's one joint. enemy the big enemy the big snake of tehran the iranians aren't so my enemy your enemy because you're my friend all
7:07 pm
right i think there's some movement in the room there but we're not seeing the president trump yet so want to go back to tanya now what do israelis and palestinians make of all this time you. well i think it is you know we have different opinions about that and on either side i mean this means i think it is important that timely that help to recognize but there also of course his voice is there because people are concerned what will happen next or what will actually change you know on the ground and palestinians i mean i talked to them also in the past couple of days i mean you could say some of them really frustrated because you know all these years and nothing really very hard and i don't want to have to interrupt you there because president something is walking into the room and i suggest we go straight to that briefing. when i came into office i promised to look at the world's challenges with open eyes and very fresh thinking
7:08 pm
we cannot solve our problems by making the same failed assumptions and repeating the same failed strategies of the past all challenges demand new approaches my announcement today marks the beginning of a new approach to conflict between israel and the palestinians in one nine hundred ninety five congress adopted the jerusalem embassy act urging the federal government to relocate the american embassy to jerusalem and to recognize that that city and so importantly is israel's capital this act passed congress by an overwhelming bipartisan majority. and was reaffirmed by unanimous vote of the senate only six months ago
7:09 pm
yet for over twenty years every previous american president has exercise the law's waiver refusing to move the u.s. embassy to jerusalem or to recognize jerusalem as israel's capital city presidents issued these waivers under the belief that delaying the recognition of jerusalem would advance the cause of peace some say they lacked courage but they made their best judgment based on facts as they understood them at the time nevertheless the record is in after more than two decades of waivers we are no closer to a lasting peace agreement between israel and the palestinians it would be folly to assume that repeating the exact same formula would now produce a different or better result therefore i have determined that it is
7:10 pm
time to officially recognize jerusalem as the capital of israel while previous presidents have made this a major campaign promise they failed to deliver today i am delivering i've judged this course of action to be in the best interests of the united states of america and the pursuit of peace between israel and the palestinians. this is a long overdue step to advance the peace process and to work towards a lasting agreement israel is a sovereign nation with the right like every other sovereign nation to determine its own capital acknowledging this is a fact is
7:11 pm
a necessary condition for achieving peace it was seventy years ago that the united states under president truman recognized the state of israel ever since then israel has made its capital in the city of jerusalem the capital the jewish people established in ancient times today jerusalem is the seat of the modern israeli government it is the home of the israeli parliament the knesset as well as the israeli supreme court it is the location of the official residence of the prime minister and the president it is the headquarters of many government ministries for decades visiting american presidents secretaries of state and military leaders have met their
7:12 pm
israeli counterparts in jerusalem as i did on my trip to israel earlier this year jerusalem is not just the heart of three great religions but it is now also the heart of one of the most successful democracies in the world over the past seven decades the israeli people have built a country where jews muslims and christians and people of all face are free to live and worship according to their conscience and according to their beliefs. jerusalem is today and must remain a place where jews pray at the western wall where christians walk the stations of the cross and where muslims worship at a lock's mosque however through all of these years presidents representing the
7:13 pm
united states have declined to officially recognize jerusalem as israel's capital in fact we have declined to acknowledge any israeli capital at all but today we finally acknowledge the obvious that you're a slim is israel's capital this is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality it is also the right thing to do it's something that has to be done that is why consistent with the jerusalem embassy act i am also directing the state department to begin preparation to move the american embassy from tel aviv to jerusalem this will immediately begin the process of hiring architects engineers and planners so that
7:14 pm
a new embassy when completed will be a magnificent tribute to peace in making these announcements i also want to make one point very clear this decision is not intended in any way to reflect a departure from our strong commitment to facilitate a lasting peace agreement. we want an agreement that is a great deal for the israelis and a great deal for the palestinians we are not taking a position of any final status issues including the specific boundaries of the israeli sovereignty in jerusalem or the resolution of contested borders those questions are up to the parties involved the united states remains deeply committed to helping facilitate
7:15 pm
a peace agreement that is acceptable to both sides i intend to do everything in my power to help forge such an agreement without question jerusalem is one of the most sensitive issues in those talks the united states would support a two state solution if agreed to by both sides in the meantime i call on all parties to maintain the status quo at jerusalem's holy sites including the temple mount also known as. shareef above all our greatest hope is for peace the universal yearning in every human soul with today's action i reaffirm my administration's long standing commitment to
7:16 pm
a future of peace and security for the region. there will of course be disagreement and dissent regarding this announcement but we are confident that ultimately as we work through these disagreements we will arrive at a peace and a place far greater in understanding and cooperation this sacred city should call forth the best in humanity lifting our sights to what it is possible not pulling us back and down to the old fights that have become so totally predictable peace is never beyond the grasp of those willing to reach so today we call for calm for moderation and for the voices of tolerance to prevail over their
7:17 pm
purveyors of hate our children shouldn't herit our love not our conflicts i repeat the message i delivered at the historic and extraordinary summit in saudi arabia earlier this year the middle east is a region rich with culture spirit and history its people are brilliant proud and diverse vibrant and strong but the incredible future awaiting this region is held at bay by bloodshed ignorance and terror vice president pence will travel to the region in the coming days to reaffirm our commitment to work with partners throughout the middle east to defeat radicalism that threatens the hopes and dreams of future generations it is time for the many who desire. peace to expel the extremists
7:18 pm
from their midst it is time for all civilized nations and people to respond to disagreement with region to debate not violence and it is time for young and moderate voices all across the middle east to claim for themselves a bright and beautiful future so today. let us rededicate ourselves to a path of mutual understanding and respect let us reaching all those options and open our hearts and minds to possible and possibilities and finally i asked the leaders of the region political religious israeli and palestinian jewish and christian and muslim to join us in the noble quest
7:19 pm
for the lasting peace thank you god bless you god bless israel god bless the palestinians and god bless the united church thank you very much thank you. for your work out that you were just joining us welcome to our live coverage of donald trump's historic decision to officially recognize the roofline as the capital of israel breaks with this decision would take a piece of u.s. foreign policy thank you said that all challenges demand new approaches and his announcements he says he and his announcement he said that this marks a beginning of a new approach to the israel palestinian conflict he added that it was long overdue and you saw there i presume that that's the document where he officially.
7:20 pm
requests the relocation of the u.s. embassy from tel aviv to jerusalem. he also said and he added that it was a long over due. we've got team coverage of this breaking news. our correspondent. with me in the studio carson phenomenon is in d.c. where he has been listening in as well and tanya kramer monitoring from jerusalem carson i want to start off with you he promised and he delivered. absolutely and that is what his space wanted to hear or at least not sponsor of his base wanted to hear. i think for him keeping his promise is no matter what people might think about them is an essential part of his presidency so he wanted to
7:21 pm
deliver on that he didn't say much about why this is now a good move he said it was long overdue he referred to the jerusalem embassy act of nine hundred ninety five he said that previous presidents didn't have the courage or maybe made the judgment that it was not time yet to do this but he decided that now it was time he wanted to deliver on his campaign promise and that's what he's done but he'd get not give a lot of details on why is this now good why can't this be good for the peace process because for a long time obviously the idea that at off to a peace deal was there was seen as an incentive for the israelis to be willing to compromise you know basically donald trump has handed over that point and so basically this cannot be used as a bargaining chip anymore in future negotiations so. once again he would see and
7:22 pm
this apart from of course the gains that he sees referring to his home base all right well to carson's point tiny i want to get to you now with the prize being given away is there any point for the israeli and the palestinians to even you know revisit these talks. apologies i we see you tanya but we're going to work on that audio because we want to know what you're reporting while we try to fix that audio connection and i want to get to you listening through that whole speech i think i counted two times that he mentioned palestinians how indicative was that in terms of i mean this was clearly he was delivering to his base and he was saying listen i'm not doing
7:23 pm
anything new here you know we do actually recognize jerusalem is just i'm acting now it's overdue right and you know what it's it's a speech and you know it could've written for him it's a it's all about peace and harmony and tolerance and what he's doing here it's a smart move of trying to. to to wrap this you know to market this move as as a voice of sanity the voice of tolerance the voice of he's talking about a new start a new approach at the end he at length talk about the need to push away extremism to push away terror to put away all the bad a call sounds and forces in the region in favor of what he prefers what he sees his first initiation his first move towards tolerance peaceful resolution he's calling upon rose oh all the old of all the old of relevant science to be to be following him and taking this is as a constructive opportunity for for a new beginning and trying to say let's not talk about all you know let's try to
7:24 pm
hush down basically all tone and that will try to market this as as the you know that as a bad step because this is the voice of radicalism this is the voice of terror ok well how does he square that circle because i think that's really interesting and once we have tanya back i don't know if the audio was working again the audio is working so hold that thought for me i just want to get tanya back into the conversation because interesting lee of course you know with jerusalem now being recognized as as israel's. capital he's given away the prize but he says but you know i still want to continue negotiating. a peace deal with the palestinians and the israelis but to some is the only constant variable in all these years that both sides have wanted to be included in that peace deal so how does he square that circle how do the passing as an israeli see that but i think it will be very difficult not to imagine that you know a new peace push for peace that the term administration supposedly is preparing
7:25 pm
will go anywhere because this is a very i think disappointing speech from the point of view of the palestinians i mean as much as mr trump continued to talk about these really claim and this really history. in jerusalem he didn't really mention the ties that the palestinians have with this city so it is a very disappointing speech from their point of view he didn't mention so one of the first times i think the two state solution you also said that nothing will. negotiations final status negotiations in a way but it is very hard to imagine how they will start off any kind of a peace talks on that point and it will also put i think a lot of pressure on the palestinian president mahmoud abbas we understand that he is planning expected to speak sometime tonight and people will
7:26 pm
ask him now you know what what really to now what are the next steps the palestinian of thirty's taking that course i want to get back to you now in washington. the thing of course that also jumped out at me president other saying listen i'm not doing anything new here this was already on the books we just weren't acting on it and it's overdue this is the point there. well he does actually we haven't heard a lot of criticism of the step so far for instance from the opposition democrats obviously this move has been discussed here for some days now and the point is though that this jerusalem embassy act that he was referring to has indeed been passed with an overwhelming bipartisan majority and it was reconfirmed by the senate so clearly that is the oficial policy it was just you know this was seen
7:27 pm
as a kind of. measure that can be implemented in an ideal world and successive administrations have said yeah but we should not implement it now because it would have negative effects and so basically when people who are in power the presidents bill clinton george w. bush and barack obama have said ok let's postpone this for some time but legally clearly this has been the u.s. position all the time so yes he does have a point here if it is a smart move i have my doubts on our standing with me here in the studio on saturday i believe the arab league is getting together to discuss this matter this was actually before the announcement was made. can they do anything. they want to do anything well it's again we first of all there's abbas's speech today we will have to see what he's saying. i don't see too much of eagerness on any of the arab
7:28 pm
partners you know the palestinians to start any violent active you know conflict of course it will be tensions fight it will be very hot in probably in june is going to have to watch very closely and see how things and unfold on friday because they go to damascus the day where locks and south is is usually very much. under attack so let's put it that way but but it's mostly about the diplomacy now it's the moment diplomatic battle well. thank you so much and of course in washington carson phenomena and tonya kramer in jerusalem thank you for your team coverage where take a short break and we'll be right back. imagine you're a child. and you can't live in your home country. and things are good in macedonia it's not good all the kids hate me and lot of kids would go

week. to. quadriga on detail a. nationalist are on the rise with me to country great again that is their slogan their focus put your nation first i am taking the bush trip to highlights different shades of nationalism and to find out what this nation mean to use. to share your story join the conversation on to w. on twitter on the facebook. great to have you back with us you're watching the news only allow rock and roll and this is our main story right now. u.s. president donald trump has recognized a contested city of jerusalem as israel's capital he also said the u.s.
7:31 pm
will move its embassy in israel to the city the decision breaks with decades of u.s. policy and international convention and comes despite warnings it could completely jeopardize the middle east peace process. i mean i'm now joined by our gershon baskin a writer peace negotiator and author of in pursuit of peace and israel and palestine in two thousand and eleven he brokered the release of gilad shalit an israeli soldier held hostage for five years by hamas a very good evening sir it will be great to have your insight on this i first want to ask your reaction to this breaking news. well it was a very interesting well crafted speech to try to find balance on an issue on which there is almost no balance possible in jerusalem has been an issue that the israelis and palestinians agreed with the negotiated increment in status negotiations which have failed to produce an agreement until now in president trump said that he was simply recognizing the reality that jerusalem is israel's capital
7:32 pm
everyone knows that it is israel's capital and hasn't said it he also in the interior firm position that the status quo on the holy sites must be preserved he talks specifically about the western wall for jewish prayer and the temple mount which he also called a homage to shareef the noble sanctuary alaska asked for the muslim prayer this is also significant and he appealed to all people in the region to continue to work for peace and the american role is central in creating peace what will be interesting to see is of course the reaction on the ground in palestine in east jerusalem in jordan in egypt and in other capitals so what makes your insights so valuable is that you've been involved in things talks for decades can you sum up for us where you think they are now. well there are have not been
7:33 pm
any negotiations now for several years it is important to mention that in all previous negotiations serious negotiations between the palestinians and the israelis the position of jerusalem was that jerusalem would be the capital of the state of israel and the capital of the palestinian state with the dividing line might be the june sixty seven borders of east jerusalem for the palestinians west jerusalem for the israelis this is not been agreed to by the parties but this is been often put on the table by the americans and by others who have tried to mediate i think it has been in the palestinian official position that there should be two capitals in jerusalem jerusalem should remain more an open city israel has not formally rubin its dream of having sovereignty over all of tourism although the negotiations that took place the. prime minister barak in jan two thousand and one and then later the negotiations on mitt romney to pass in two
7:34 pm
thousand and eight he included a solution for jerusalem that would recognize two capitals in jerusalem so what next i mean how do we move forward from here. what next we have to hope that over the next days there will be a new round of violence that will get out of control as was triggered by the visit of their opposition leader ariel sharon to the temple mount to rama sharif in september of. two thousand which launched the second intifada and once the violence began it was difficult to turn the clock back we have to hope that there will be restraint that there will be a continued an american attempt to give messages in the arab world and specifically to the palestinians that as president transparent speech in jerusalem status and future boundaries must be determined in negotiations the president did speak that if the parties do want two state solution the americans would support it and we have to hope that this speech by the president will not create the violence that
7:35 pm
will jeopardize our chances of ever getting back to the table again is there somebody that springs to mind who could bring all the parties back to the table a person an organization somebody that you think us could be that honest broker. i don't see that happening everyone's waiting now to see what trumps all to make a deal will look like he's supposed to present some kind of package of arrangements to the israelis and the palestinians and the neighboring countries trump is often talked about a region that will expand the circles of security and stability and economic growth and development that is certainly needed. there needs to be an end to the israeli occupation of the palestinian people and the palestinian people need to have their freedom and israel needs to be recognized by the palestinians as being legitimate so this is a difficult task maybe trunk trump with all the surprises that he's he's already
7:36 pm
made in in the future will bring can do it i am skeptical about whether or not the israeli prime minister is really ready to make the kind of compromises necessary to make peace with the palestinians and mahmoud abbas the aging palestinian leader has very little legitimacy within his own people so we may have to wait until their leadership changes on the ground here before someone new to national community could step in and help us make peace what do you think you know judging from what happened today what do you think that. impact will be on the region. i think it's very difficult to see in the next year is will be critical of whether or not there is a flare in violence and whether the israeli response to that violence will be the use of massive force or not or whether we can contain the anger that there does exist in will exist on the palestinian side and in the arab world. in this is a crucial period piece next few days friday prayers in jerusalem in and around
7:37 pm
palestine and the surrounding countries could be days of violence or they could be of use where we contain the violence in and managed to calm the situation d.l. nothing is actually going to change on the ground over the next period it will take a long time before the american embassy from tel aviv to jerusalem nothing critical is going to change on the ground and we have to just hope that we can contain the flare up of violence that might be right around the corner. baskin writer peace negotiator and author of in pursuit of peace and israel and palestine and of course most notably as well twenty eleven who broke with the release of gilad shalit said the israeli soldier held hostage for five years by hamas certain thank you for spending time with us. tonight. all right and then we want to continue talking about this very historic
7:38 pm
developments and for viewers just joining us welcome to our live coverage of donald trump officially recognizing jerusalem as the capital of israel breaking with decades of u.s. foreign policy and he has said that all challenges demand new approaches and to a delve more into what that all means i have here with me sunny who will it give us her perspective and in washington d.c. we have carsten fun naaman as well so i want to start of what did you make of that speech i mean it's sunk in a little bit now it's time to think about it a little yeah but i think you know i was there going in i was looking for some you know there were some crucial words that i was looking for for example divided or united really talk about the city as a united city as a divided cities talking about east to west jerusalem he was very he kept on to the general term of jerusalem which was which is controversial enough but not not as explosive as you know talking about united jerusalem which is of course what israelis say needless to say in the meantime we have
7:39 pm
a statement from the israeli prime minister's now saying how important and you know blessing and of course thanking president trump for for the statement he made so so that did not happen in what he was trying to do the only the only sort of compensation he was offering the palestinians after having talked quite in length about the historical connection of the israelis to that to this city and what it means that the great the successful democracy israelis he said. sort of trying to to imply that he believes the moc recy the values of tolerance will keep going prevailing in the city after this announcement as well and that the freedom to worship for all religions will remain the only candy or the only company he's offering the palestinians is the u. is that for the first time acknowledging the need for two state solution with of course always in parenthesis if two sides will agree to that which is something he keeps. when you try to talk about his vision pit for peace is basically anything that sides will agree to so he keeps on going to that the another kind of ironic
7:40 pm
thing he's talking about the need to maintain the status quo in the city while he is actually the first one to break it so it seems. to hold as you were talking i skipping and i out also on on one of the pool pictures there and it now seems to have also reacted as well and we'll bring you that a little later on as well the premise of israel's reaction of course of this breaking development but i'm being told that we can now listen to president trump historic statements and then i want to pick up our conversation with carson phenomena in washington d.c. let's listen in to what he said exactly when i came into office i promised to look at the world's challenges with open eyes and very fresh thinking we cannot solve our problems by making the same failed assumptions and repeating the same failed strategies of the past all challenges demand new approaches
7:41 pm
my announcement today marks the beginning of a new approach to conflict between israel and the palestinians in one nine hundred ninety five congress adopted the jerusalem embassy act urging the federal government to relocate the american embassy to jerusalem and to recognized that that city and so importantly is israel's capital this act passed congress by an overwhelming bipartisan majority. and was reaffirmed by unanimous vote of the senate only six months ago yet for over twenty years every previous american president has exercise the law's waiver refusing to move the u.s. embassy to jerusalem or to recognize jerusalem as israel's

u.s. president donald trump speaking a little earlier where he recognizes jerusalem as the capital of israel breaking with decades of u.s. foreign policy i want to go straight to carson in washington d.c. kirsten the move in the lead up to this decision the move has been sharply criticized by u.s. is closest allies i think assert at all that there are going to be isolated in this decision or do they care. i don't think they care much and we have seen this before on other fields for instance with regards to the paris climate agreement that doesn't really count as far as donald trump's universe is concerned he is just looking at his space he is looking at his politics here in the u.s. and the question what other people think these are not very important to him i mean i find this quite interesting especially you know once again listening to the

speech again what he said that he was coming in as a president who would look at things with open eyes who brought a fresh approach he also said that previous presidents maybe were not as courageous as he obviously is and that they were acting on the facts as they saw them at the time as they understood them at the time said donald trump clearly is a man with things he is smarter than anyone even though he clearly doesn't know a lot about the world he also seems to think he's bowled a more courageous than his predecessors but the problem that i see here is that there doesn't seem to be a real plan to follow up on this to explain how this will make things better and that is the real issue here that donald trump is making this move to please mostly his base but he doesn't really follow up he still has to deliver on the plan that will build on this all right tony i want to go to you in jerusalem because in

the meantime we've also heard from the israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu i first want to listen i think we have a sound bite and then i want to talk to you and get your reaction to today's pronouncement by president trump is such an occasion. we are profoundly grateful for the president for his courageous and just decision to recognize use of them as the capital of israel and to prepare for the opening of the u.s. embassy here this is the solution reflects the president's commitment to an ancient but enduring truth to fulfilling his promises and to advancing peace the president's decision is an important step towards peace for there is no peace that doesn't include jerusalem as the capital of the state of israel i call on all countries that seek peace to join the united states in recognizing jerusalem as israel's capital and to move their embassies here i share president trump's

commitment to advancing peace between israel and all of our neighbors including the palestinians all right tanya would you make of that reaction. well i mean really been hearing those reactions pouring in even when mr trump was speaking we already got a tweet from. mr bennett on the g. from the far right saying this is an historic day and he is not with the prime minister netanyahu and what's interesting is that he also talks about that this is never necessary to make peace the problem is nobody tells us what kind of plan do they have i mean how would you know not acknowledging the status quo or to change to such a school of the city of two slim how would that lead to peace and that is the big question and i think for a palestinian state i don't find much comfort in this speech to been hearing
