fancy tim martin certainly has more than just one feather in his cap. like new york is a city that never sleeps and that's good news for those who like to take part in the nightlife culture now berlin boast some of the best techno clubs in the world but for those who can stay up that late there is a museum exhibition now underway in germany where showcases the highlights of club culture from the one nine hundred sixty s. to the present day. i'm glad the discotheque at the detroit design museum invited. spaces for experimentation with interior design and alternative lifestyles. back to the nine hundred sixty s. recording the exciting history of international club culture. we decided to start

with the one nine hundred sixty s. because that was the start of a new youth culture so. those young people needed a place to meet and dance and have fun. but there was more to it than just dancing . people would organize concerts and other events. in new york in the one nine hundred sixty s. there was dancing here plus happenings and concepts groundbreaking new bands like the velvet underground played here this was the start of the so-called modern night club. this is a counterpart to space electronic and. it was a multifunction designed by the radical architects group. for the one nine hundred seventy s. saw the start of the disco movement and things became more professional. new york
