this is deja vu news life from ghrelin a deadly van rama in a german driver pliers into a crowd and then start killing three people and injuring many more before taking his own life and they say it's too early to know his moves there but media reports say he was german and still brings psychological issues.

on a welcome to the program three people have been killed and three others thirty others rather injured after a van paid into a crowd of people at side a busy restaurant in minster north western germany and the driver of the van shot himself shortly after the incident and these have so far ruled a terrorism as a motive while local media have suggested that the perpetrator could have been suffering from psychological issues a picture that captures the moment carnage at the historic costs of minster it was the basic gist of times diners enjoying the first days of spring. responders an eyewitness described a kid also as a van charged into the crime. i heard a loud bang screaming and then the police arrived and everyone was sent outside. i didn't see much just lots of people running away screaming. i'm sorry for those who

were caught up in this it's a shock to all of us employees for visitors i know that i'm angry it's cowardly to do something like this. the driver turned the gun on himself after killing several people and harshing more than twenty others reports in the german media suggest he was suffering from mental illness police here say they are not looking for any other suspects but are trying to get a bigger picture of what's happened yet but it's far too early to speak of an attack right now the investigation is ongoing. nonetheless never seen this lingers after a deadly day that has reminded this country of the threat it faces. joining us now from men's there is a correspondent diana co-pays following this story on the ground for us daniel what's can you tell us from the scene right there now. well hi there and

let me give you a little bit an idea what is happening here at this moment still big parts of the city of mincer a city with about three hundred thousand people are still on lockdown the police here off of the city just tweeted actually some minutes ago that people at this point can still not to return to their home the reason behind this is that police authorities are taking a closer look at the car after the suspect there has been speculation already throughout the day that possible explosives could be on this car so of course german police want to make sure that no other people could be heard we are also hearing that police authorities are taking a closer look at the apartment of the spice suspect we are hearing a forty year old guy holding a german passport his apartment is apparently a little bit outside here off the city so of course police authorities want to

learn more about this man there has been and this has not been confirmed yet by the police speculation that he has had mentally issues in the past that he was already talking in the past about a possible suicide but all of this still has not been yet confirmed by authorities here tonight ok so there's a lot of information that we need to verify but as of yet there is more information that has been coming out what else can you tell us about the suspect at this stage . well at this point we believe that the guy the suspect is called against our here is forty eight years old and before he was living here in parent lee lived in the german region called sour land about one hours and thirty minutes ago we are also hearing from

police say that the vehicle driver had actually shot himself after the attack what more do we know that the suspect at this stage well as our correspondent was just saying he is a confirmed to be a german citizen born in germany who lived quite close well a couple of kilometers away from the scene of this incident today both at his apartment and at the scene of the crime scene of this incident the investigations are continuing but it seems clear this is also being confirmed by the interior minister of that region of those drug was trading at the federal state is located he has confirmed that there is no. such fission at the moment of any terrorist background to this attack in the islamist background to other terrorist after background so it seems that psychological problems may have been the background to this attack and how have the german authorities be reacting. well there's obviously
