police have now reopened the city's center which was blocked off after the attack but are people out and about again. people are gradually starting to come out and about again marianna where i'm standing right now is the scene of where the n.h. to attack took place if i just leave to the side you can see where some of the church sort of begun to be laid at the foot of the statue of the cuban child here spring flowers and candles in memorial of the victims is gradually people make their way back into the old town now the police cordon has been lifted what you can see just out of sight is rather chillingly a twisted metal barriers which was just by the terrorists probably assumed we were to see where the vehicle made its impact here yesterday on what was a very full terrorist behind me. have you been hearing any more about the

investigation do police have any possible we need on what could have been the motive. at this hour prosecutors say they have no leads in this investigation and they're working to determine whether this was a suicide whether this was a suicide that then ended in murder or this was a i deliberate attack what police have said is that the perpetrator the alleged perpetrator who killed himself after which was a forty eight year old german man and reports say that he may have had mental health issues late last night the minister of the interior for the state of north rhine-westphalia said it was unlikely that there was an easily missed motive in this case that they will have to determine whether there was another motive whether it was and linked to for example far right extremism or an another kind of motive in this case but at the moment we don't know we do know that they found inside the
