i am. v.w. news live from girl land tension i'm trafficked in the german capital as authorities begin working to just use a potentially deadly in world war two bomb the british device was found on a building site close to the central train station thousands are being evacuated from the surrounding area we'll go live to the scene also coming up the suspect in the alleged anti-semitic attack has handed himself in to berlin police authorities saying that he is a teenage asylum seeker who arrived in germany from syria in twenty fifteen after

the north and south korea set up a telephone hotline ahead of me where summit next week it's meant to be used communication between the two sides at odds over the north's nuclear ambitions. but the end of an era premier league clubs are some all announces the departure of coach arsène event at the end of the season. i'm sorry kelly thanks for joining us. central berlin arms shut down this afternoon as emergency services diffuse a potentially deadly world war two bomb the british bomb was uncovered on a building site near the city's central train station german authorities have evacuated thousands in the surrounding area also services have also been
1:02 pm
interrupted for several hours as berlin's main train station is completely empty seven decades after the end of the second world war germany still finds more than two thousand tonnes of unexploded bombs and live ammunition every year. and for more let's bring in his very own rebecca rivers who is standing by at the scene so rebecca what is the situation there where you are. well sara i'm standing right here outside billions main train station just on the very edge of the evacuation zone about eight hundred meters from the bomb site and tension is starting to rise here because we've had word that the disposal could happen any moment now and that we may even be able to hear it from here about half an hour ago we got confirmation that the area the total radius around the bomb had been evacuated and work was going to get underway on that disposal now we're hearing it could be just moments away but it has caused quite a couple here this morning in the capital you know lots of buildings surrounding
1:03 pm
the area have been evacuated including the train station all trains have been diverted as well as some government ministries they've also been evacuated germany's central intelligence agency also evacuated and parts of one of the main hospitals here the charity hospital as well as a military hospital have also had to evacuate patients so you know it's definitely caused traffic and mayhem in the city today absolutely especially given the size and the scale of this operation rebecca you know police authorities they've been communicating a lot on social media we actually have some of that sort of the. social media communication now to show our viewers in fact because this photo has come through on twitter from the police in berlin they write high distrust here the source of all evils the world war bomb our emergency responders stand ready and you can indeed see them standing there thirty three hundred police officers are at work to
1:04 pm
make sure all who are learners in the affected areas are taken to safety and all buildings are empty those evacuations that rebecca just mentioned and here's a rare sight a look inside berlin's otherwise overcrowded central station completely deserted and you know this is really a very strange situation for many years to see this unfolding here about thousands of tons as we mentioned of bombs are discovered every year within the country but this is really different this time isn't it tell us what's so unique about this particular. well as you say i mean a lot of this does happen relatively regularly authorities find smaller ammunitions almost on a daily basis but what makes this one different is obviously it's the size of the bomb it's a five hundred kilo british bomb and it's proximity to the you know to be
1:05 pm
set in such a central part of the city or you know obviously near the main station near government buildings. is it happening no maybe not yet so you know obviously that has really heightened the tension here that it's not that is not very usual i've certainly never seen it here and nobody that i've spoken to has remembers a time where it's happened here in berlin i spoke to one of the bomb experts down near the site earlier before before the evacuations and he said even were to explode windows buildings for a thousand meter radius would be shattered so i mean obviously authorities are very worried about what could happen and they're taking every possible precaution absolutely and as we know the central station there it's basically entirely made of glass so that would be quite a scene where you're standing right in front of it rebecca indeed so we also we know you have fingers crossed to take care of yourself there we understand we know you have been speaking with experts we also spoke with the person who was in charge
1:06 pm
of the bomb disposal earlier i want to listen in to what he said and get your reaction after. because it was a jet technologies a cutting technology using water sound and a lot of pressure we used to cut through two centimeters of steel and then removed a detonator that doesn't agent by hand and then the bombs diffused rebecca we heard it's quite a technical process there how dangerous could it be if things go wrong. i mean very dangerous you know as i mentioned before the bomb expert that i spoke to said for a thousand metre radius around the bomb site if it were to explode windows would explode from all of those buildings so you know obviously the closer you were the more dangerous that would be. you know everyone here is wishing the the bomb experts the bomb disposal tame well and you know hoping that nothing happens here today rebecca writers but the latest from the scene there thank you.

the jews in palestine are occupiers. work with them not all jews occupy palestine so what is a boy who was born a jew have to do with it no man is the thing that our social media we can't trust social media you have there has to be an investigation and if they find that palestinians did this for the then i reject that as a muslim the. them out of. the case has left many jews wondering if they saif in berlin. and let's get a quick check now some other stories that have been making news around the world more than fifty people have been entered after two passenger trains collided in the austrian city of salzburg the crash happened at the main station in the early morning hours an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. police have fired rubber bullets at protesters and mike kang in south africa president zero. has cut short his trip to london for the commonwealth summit due to

clashes it's the first significant test of his peacemaking skills since he took office in february. and hundreds of people in indonesia have watched unmarried couples being beaten with canes for showing affection in public to allege prostitutes were tortured and six young people were lashed for filth flirtatious behavior these are the last public beatings to be held in the conservative watch a province authorities say that they will soon be moved indoors to prisons. north and south korea have opened a telephone hotline ahead of next week's historic summit leaders of the countries planned to speak on the phone before meeting face to face and effort to end the nuclear standoff with the north south korean president move j m wants to officially end the war after the armistice of one thousand nine hundred fifty three at the last summit back in two thousand and seven former leaders kim jong il and ruled here on their efforts for
1:11 pm
a peace agreement they never materialized seoul says that it intends to keep the new hotline open after the rare summit takes place next week. journalist bruce harrison is standing by with the latest now from seoul so first just generally speaking how high are the hopes ahead of the summit and what can we expect. well series it's really hard to say president moon julian has made it clear that his focus is going to be on getting north korea to give up its nuclear weapons he hasn't said that directly but we know that because his administration has made it clear they're not going to focus on other things other issues that have with north korea such as human rights south korea's foreign minister recently said that that's something they're not going to touch on which is made many in south korea unhappy but like i said the focus is on getting north korea to give up its nuclear weapons this is different than previous summits however because unlike two thousand and
1:12 pm
seven as you mention and the previous summit with the former leader kim jong north korea didn't have a confirmed nuclear capability then it's pretty clear that they do now which gives north korea a lot more negotiating power they have a nuclear weapons capability they've proven that time and time again and they will certainly leverage that that is in kim jong un's mind a way for the regime to survive so moon in the south korean president has his work cut out for him i'll say once again the focus is on getting north korea to give up its nuclear weapons and it's really unclear though exactly what the agenda will be and how moon plans to do that ok so the nuclear weapons are one car and that air that's in the north korean stack another one is the fact that of course the two countries they're still officially at war in the hostilities of the korean where they only ends at the end armistice agreement as we heard earlier so for its part it wants an official and before signing any possible treaty how likely is it that north korea will give up that card. we've heard president discuss
1:13 pm
that this week he said that a peace treaty should be in sight it should be the ultimate goal he's also a condition that he's also said that that's probably not possible without a deal on denuclearization so getting to that step of the peace treaty has to come after north korea agrees to some sort of concession about his weapons programs and then you have the u.s. as well which complicates things because it has always viewed negotiations as a nonstarter unless the north is willing to give up its nuclear weapons as a lot of steps to believe this point the north seems to want to discuss that but the peace treaty at this point it's really hard to see that is something that's possible immediately. without even knowing if the north and the south in the north in the u.s. even have the same view about north korea giving up its nuclear weapons ok and all
