what is the current situation where you are. yes we're on the east side of the big island of hawaii and right now we are going through a period of time where we differ through massive swelling of the volcano and it's starting to release some of the energy in the last couple days what we've seen is lots and lots of earthquakes i think in the last three to four days there's been well over a thousand and in the last couple days in particular they've gotten more intense today they got a little bit you were and we got some active ones like a six point nine that was just described there are fissures that are opening up down on the east rift i believe that at the meeting tonight and behold there had been somewhere between six and eight act decisions that had opened up in the last twenty four hours and you mentioned a meeting that you went to and it was a local council meeting where the situation was being told to the public can you

fill us in about what happened there and what they may have advised the public to do. yeah you know they had they had to evacuate a lot of different small communities down there for different threats their belief that people are going to be in harm's way if different things happened so they were really going through evacuation plans and the shelters that people could go to they had representatives from really all of the government entities to give ideas of what could be done people from public works people talking about the utilities people talking about people's pets and the humane society so it was really just an information grab all these for people to get together and understand what is going on but they also gave them serious pieces of information like the fact that you know the last time something like this happened in hawaii was in one nine hundred fifty five and that particular event lasted about three months long so they want everybody to understand that this is something that's going to be intense if it

potentially could be the united states the government is seoul is looking for a lot of domestic support there hoping for lots of good goodwill good feelings this however is something that's not going to come easy especially in some cases to some of these activists who are in fact the north koreans who have fled to south korea either as defectors or refugees and they for some years have said information money food and other things across the border into north korea in the past the south korean government has often seen this as a matter of free speech however given their agenda today they are looking a little bit more critically at these efforts and despite these protests in south korea what does that mean for north korea to change their clocks.

it's something of an interesting move it's a move that north korea. there reversing a move that north korea made back in twenty fifty five twenty fifteen north korea changed its time by half an hour in fact as a way to differentiate itself from the japanese. history of colonialism in korea when they moved it back however for trade as an effort to put them on the same time zone as the rest of south korea and as i just wrote goodwill and reconciliation with their southern neighbors so we've seen a dramatic warming in relations between north and south korea. and there just change the clocks what are some of the next steps that we might see in the months or hears to come so in the immediate future there are going to continue to be talks between each side they're going to be discussing potential cooperation in
