a glimpse of the couple more than one hundred thousand people are expected to flock to the town for the royal wedding this morning queen elizabeth and nouns that harry has a new royal title he is now also the duke of sussex megan will become the duchess of sussex after her marriage. well following all the royal preparations for us is our correspondent gary mattis and he joins us now live from windsor so gary we can see behind you lots and lots of people already getting together people from all over the world give us a sense of the atmosphere and what have all these royal fans been telling you. obviously a wonderful atmosphere here the weather couldn't be any better you see the people queuing behind me for the grounds that means they will have a few off the chapel and they will get a few as the married couple will step outside that is the moment really everybody's

looking forward to of those people you see behind me queuing clearly they they wish them all the best everybody has been giving the flag so there's a great atmosphere here could couldn't be any better that is what people tell me well we're also hearing that this royal wedding is going to be different in many ways from previous ones what will be different about it. well a few modern touches have been added for instance when you look at the language of the saw this there is more a direct speech you rather than they has been included to start with the bride walking down the aisle she'll be walking herself down the aisle for quite a bit until prince charles will take over that is something new and then there is the sister of princess diana who will give a reading in the church which is something new and then for the reception for instance markel has decided to give a speech yourself that that is

a new charge and finally many people here have said the most modern touch is there will for the first time not be a fruit cake at the reception but an elder flower lemon cake ok are going to have this wedding also in many ways marks a new chapter for the british monarchy as it welcomes megan markel into the royal family and we do know making markel is of course american she's divorced she's also biracial what does this tell us about how attitudes within the mark monarchy have changed. there is of course an understanding within the monarchy and a big concern that the moment the queen dies the support for the monarchy will plummet and republicans will will again gain a lot of strength and so the move has been that young people like prince william like prince harry have already been given new posts of give new tasks prince harry is now the commonwealth youth ambassador for instance together with making markel

and it is this is an effort to sort of strengthen the the young pup members of the royal family in order to reach out to the young people who will be the future who will be those who decide whether the monarchy keeps the place it has at the moment and of course there's the realization that it takes a bit of fresh wind into these institutions as you keep them in place for the long haul. and so is it likely then then with this a fresh new wind that people will have a renewed sense of excitement and support for the monarchy in the u k. well that is what i asked people here and the number of them said look the situation we have at the moment with rex it was a constant a political dilemma in westminster and finally we have some good news coming from the u.k. finally we have something which we can just enjoy where we have a relatively normal couple or let's say a couple that many people can relate to that particular woman that has been

divorced a woman that has a mixed racial background these are all things that a lot of people here can relate to a poll of people said this is an important for us we feel more represented by a couple that is is normal and since this is not a state wedding date has this touch where people can relate to and that is finally something that people have embraced and now look very much forward to of course waiting for that big moment when they step out of the church all right gary reporting from windsor many thanks indeed. well turning now to some other news and cuba which has begun two days of mourning for the victims of friday's plane crash more than one hundred passengers and crew died in the disaster but if already say three women were pulled alive from the wreckage the plane came down near have vanished shortly after taking off its cuba's worst aviation accident in three

decades. the plane had just taken off from havana as main airport when it crashed and burst into flames. there was little left to save when fire crews arrived to the blaze miraculously survivors were found in amongst the debris state media says three women are being treated for critical injuries. for the relatives of most on board the fate of their loved ones was clear. she was twenty four years old she took a flight from havana to whole game and the plane crash found out from the television just a little while ago. it's the first major incident to confront cuba's new president. who was quickly on scene

. the sides from giving our condolences over the loss of life and giving all our solidarity to the families of the victims but we will make the appropriate investigations and give the information to our people. the flight was operated by state. but the plane had been leased from a mexican charter company it was almost forty years old something that played a role. this was one of the safest airlines in the world but you know these planes are obsolete i understand. it's the first major crash for the cuban airline which is notorious for delays and cancellations says it's forced to operate an aging fleet of aircraft because of u.s. trade embargoes cuban investigators will be supported by mexican aviation experts as they search for answers amongst the wreckage. and now to some of the other stories making news around the world and in iraq the political coalition

father he walked into an art class and opened fire i didn't see anything i just heard go barnes and everybody you know yelling at first you know all we heard was run run and next thing you know we hear. that then everybody just started running the shooting comes just three months after seventeen people were gunned down at a school in parkland florida widespread wage in the wake of that incident prompted nationwide protests calling on lawmakers to bring in tougher gun controls today the flag at the white house is once again flying is half mast and president donald trump is once again expressing his condolences to his shattered community we grieve for the terrible loss of life and send our support and love to everyone
