sweden democrats have surged into third place taking seventeen point six percent the far right party hopes to become kingmaker of any ruling coalition a scenario of both centrists centrist blogs or by me hard to start like. sweden selection hasn't produced a real winner incumbent prime minister stephan left and social democrat green coalition is neck and neck with the center right paula mentary bloc the result may force the bloc system that has defined the country's politics for decades to change using you see the no side has a clear majority it's only natural that we will have to work across the political fight to make it possible to govern sweden. regardless of the final election results this will be the death of bloc politics. the friends

the other after all votes will be counted maybe tomorrow then they will just have to sit down at a very big table and find common ground they will somehow have to break up this old system off center left bloc kind of center right block and they sort of alternate and government that is over the sweden democrats have really sort of broken up and shaken the political system in sweden and the established parties if they want to stay in government they will just have to make new compromises and just find different forms of working together we've seen something similar last year in the netherlands so it is doable and they need probably to learn from their neighbors and you mentioned the far right sweden democrats they are a force to contend with it seems they made big gains in this election how did they do it and what kind of influence could they have on the next government. part of

their success of course is the is the figure at the head party chief jimmy office and he is something that just didn't exist in swedish politics so far he's a forceful personality who is he is somebody who sort of dares to go out to the market places and sort of shout loudly and even sort of he wins with the sort of fear mongering he has so when all over the country during the election campaign he tells people yes swedes need to be afraid because there are too many migrants and crime has risen in sweden that is only half true but people believe it and he hooks into something into a sense of insecurity that is even some swedes because this is still one of the richest and most safest country in the world bought even swedish people feel that things are changing out there and they feel less safe and secure in their political environment barbara thank you so much to that was barbara baseball there in stockholm. now to some of the other stories making headlines around the world today

10:11 am
the dead man's death was caused by any injuries that he might have sustained during the altercation with these two men so why have they been arrested while there was a fight obviously and this man was attacked he was injured to the extent that he was taken to hospital it turned out that he had a chronically we caught and his heart basically gave in once he was taken to hospital so in a sense his death was in some form a consequence of this attack but it wasn't directly caused by any of the injuries so he may have been kicked or something like that but none of those injuries actually caused him to die his heart simply gave in in that stress situation so the men have been arrested for. causing serious injury to a death but it's not being treated as a homicide in any form tell us about the demonstrations that followed the man's death encouraging was it anything like the far right protests that we witness in chemist's two weeks ago well it was similar in the sense of course that in

10:13 am
a whole lot of questions still to be oncet about what exactly happened so that's being investigated then no demonstrations that i know of that has been a knowledge of the moment so it seems as though the escalation that we saw in canada in the past two weeks is not likely to be repeated in this case thank you very much the w.'s hons but from politics. in russia sorties are increasingly turning to so-called anti extremism laws to crackdown on dissent around one hundred fifty people were convicted under the statues in two thousand and eleven six years later that number had quadrupled part of the uptick maybe due to a new cohort of social media monitors who turn people into the authorities w correspondent mia drugstore each met one man whose activism landed him in a political dragnet. no trespassing one hundred eighty

commitment have made him a target for the russian authorities but he refuses to be intimidated. germany's national football team have just had another chance to repair their reputation after their disappointing world cup campaign a summer they managed just scoreless draw with world champions france in the nation's league on thursday but fans and critics expected more from them when they took a route and friendly. for this wasn't exactly the performance coach him live was hoping for some highs against peru but also plenty of lows germany failed to exploit their chances in the fast paced early stages lone wasted three golden opportunities in the first fifteen minutes and germany's defense once again looked porous allowing luis adding to open the scoring for peru after twenty two minutes but the equaliser was not long in coming brunt hitting the target after winning the ball deep in the opponent's half just three minutes later. germany didn't shine in

the second half either five minutes from time nico schultz capitalized on peru's defensive gaffe to net the winner in his debut for the national team two one the final score. and we'll be here to talk about germany's win against peru is mark corrigan from sports morning mark so how do you rate germany's performance in that game we just saw. not very highly. there were positives the performance of you would be one of them he was exceptional in the world cup when he came on as a substitute and a lot of people felt he really should have started. the world cup and he was given that chance last night and he was he was exceptional of legal over the goalkeeper to germany level and he played well and they create a lot of chances the problem is the can take many of them. and then further on the negative side of the block they're a little bit shaky company testing the goalkeeper is. very

highly rated. he's prone to the old mistake for germany and he'd been disappointed to have been beaten in his new post last night so a mixed bag really mixed bag still a little shaky but there were some highlights they did win one of the players making their day debut nico scholtz he scored the winning goal in fact you think that's a sign of good things to come it was lovely for sure. i mean the goal is a fluke the ball was actually going in the political keeper effectively threw into . the little embarrassed i'm sure he would have been delighted to score does the if you so it was good for germany france to see some fresh blood finally coming into the team that was also. came on as a substitute and obviously been there as well so finally things being freshened up so that is a positive but yet it wasn't wasn't a great as in a for germany were all freshened up people what they really want is transformation in the national team tell us what do you think that germany has
10:20 am
learned from its mistakes of the world cup well i think you know we love he really should have freshen things up in russia even relied a little bit so heavily on the old guard he's finally seen a cave the likes of mario gomez for example is his career as an end for germany and he needed to bring in bring in fresh blood i think what they're really missing is germany's traditionally had a goal poacher from back in the seventy's through to you can klinsmann in the ninety's through to because love close up and that's really missing for them that was expected maybe that team ovando would come and beat and be that guy you'd be the guy that scores the goals but he's really struggled so that's perhaps missing and there still is a little bit of stillness there and you'll be live i think perhaps they could have changed the coach still room for improvement and definitely mark thank you so much mark corgan from devious sports thank you. some tennis now a novak djokovic produced and a strong performance to be twenty. in the u.s.

about something like nine and a half billion euros claimed by shareholders is that a bit like biting the hand that feeds you. good point monica and yes the money the damages will eventually be paid by the company not the managers the executives who were in charge at the time this is likely to be taken into consideration in the courtroom and it makes it more likely that this will end with some sort of settlement and not with you know a clean cut with all oss and of course i mean i guess actually repeat again nine and a half billion the amount is staggering and it truly is a first for germany isn't it. yes you know litigation cases where such large sums are at stake we're used to hearing about them from the united
