landfall late this evening or early tomorrow morning it's forecast to be the most dangerous hurricane to hit the region in a generation around two million people from virginia the carolinas and georgia have been told to leave low lying coastal areas. meanwhile in the philippines evacuations have begun ahead of a powerful typhoon which is expected to make landfall on saturday the philippines weather bureau says the storm is nine hundred kilometers wide and is packing maximum sustained winds of well over two hundred kilometers per hour more than four million people live in its path. this satellite image leaves no room for doubt the super typhoon is packing a punch and it's heading straight for the northern philippines. coote typhoon looks set to be the most powerful of this year's pacific storm season if its path doesn't change it will make landfall in the northeastern province of. all three g.'s of
