rather joins us from washington so michael we know that this event is unfolding as we speak but what is the latest. well as you said it's still a very early to tell but what happened according to the most recent information is that that a gunman walked into the tree of life synagogue this morning in pittsburgh and opened fire and according to media reports and official reports killed at least multiple people and injured. several others the figures are still not not told the confirmed sos so we can't really talk about that but the gunman is now in custody police say and the investigation is unfolding and the neighborhood was put on lockdown earlier after this this shooting emerged and now police are investigating the shooting in the according to the reports also several police officers have also been shot by the gunman who apparently surrendered after the shooting inside the
