migrants have found steady jobs in germany the german industry looking to boost its workforce that critics say more needs to be done to foster real integration. you know. i knew it was mckinnon thanks so much for your company. marathon united nations climate talks aimed at saving the world from the dangerous effects of global warming have run into over time delegates from nearly two hundred countries have spent the last two weeks in the polish city of kut to the chair trying to agree on rules to govern how countries cuts carbon and how to finance the climate change fight and poor nations all promises made in the twenty fifteen paris agreement but still there's no consensus and small group of countries including the u.s.

and russia are refusing to sign on the u.s. delegation here is. in a way certainly protecting the interests of the united states i think their statements on the science have been. well just completely out of step with what is happening in reality and what is understood by the vast majority of countries scientists around the world for more let's cross now to our correspondent max million akashic who's been following the talks for us in quetta beach and poland as we just heard this criticism of how the past two weeks of climate negotiations have gone can you tell us what the feeling on the ground there is. well it's certainly more muted than the last days this area was buzzing with people in the last two weeks but is now quite empty this is because of the one hand most of the people have already left after two weeks and those who are staying are the negotiators for
10:03 am
them it's crunch time they've been working until late last night the latest draft of the final document has been coming in at four am in the morning and then reconvene for final negotiations and we're hoping to see result of those negotiations but of course the expect is one criticism is rising against what these conferences can really achieve on the one hand we have a group of climate outspoken climate skeptics who are still here for example the united states every heard they're not really contributing to a joint goal instead they're for example promoting their coal industries which had has given a lot of protests here in ca to meter and then we have for example brazil who is just elected an outspoken climb the skeptics also narrow and have said they're not going to host next year's climate conference anymore and then the other hand we have those who are affected by climate change or are fighting climate fighting for climate protection who are saying not is enough is being done here these conferences and also quite skeptical of what these conferences can achieve and if

like this overdrawn day now that one day after the supposed to be finished if they can actually finally reach an agreement so what are the main sticking points holding up this deal was stopping it from happening. this three big topics that are being kind of the problems here in the room here and cost of each one is of course the trust in each other in the global community to achieve this goal the other one is the ambition there still a lack of ambition to read like put things want to be probably more ambitious than it was in paris and the third is the money that's missing first of all with the trust issue is that with the new rulebook that's being discussed that should act effectively put in order the rules for the paris agreement here and. then needs to be sort of a certain aspect of transparency between the countries to say like ok this is what we're going to do and we're going to be transparent enough that you can hold us accountable each other that the global community can say this in that country has said they want to do that are they being transparent with their goals and are they being transparent with their results this is the first issue the second issue is of
10:05 am
course the ambition that's been the outreach from the science community saying actually the goals of the for sort of set in the powers agreement on not enough we need to be more ambitious and there's a couple of countries said ok let's follow that rule and then again we have a couple congress is saying no we don't want to be more ambitious mission is the second issue that's still in negotiations here in cuts of each and the third one is the money with the united states pulling effectively out of the paris agreement there's a lot of money missing they have stalled their contributions to international climate funds and even with countries like germany stepping in they've now doubled their contribution for example to the green climate fund and now contributing one point five billion u.s. dollars but even with countries like germany stepping up like that it's not enough for example to help developing countries poorer countries who are conned put enough action into climate protection on their own all right much money on a classic in post and thanks so much for your reporting. kosovo's parliament has
10:06 am
voted to create a standing army for the first time twenty years after kosovo split from neighboring serbia and fought a bloody war against it serbia has described the decision to create an army as the most direct threat to peace and stability in the region said he doesn't recognize kosovo and says it could even intervene militarily a threat to it which failed to deter possible lawmakers. a reason to celebrate really cause of it and see the creation of a proper standing army as a necessary step towards full nationhood. this is a historic agreement for us and a deserved one. has its own army and a state that is being further consolidated and strengthened every day. for the lawmakers present in the kosovo parliament who are in favor of converting the four thousand strong security force into a fully fledged ami the government wasted no time in staging
10:07 am
a ceremony to mark the historic decision. kosovo was born out of conflict twenty years ago the nato alliance intervened to protect the ethnic albanians of kosovo during their bid for independence from serbia nato has been there ever since keeping the peace between the still bitterly opposed signs in two thousand and eight kosovo formally declared independence from serbia a move belgrade and it's a russian is to refuse to recognize many course of and see the new army as a necessary step because it's a big step because of oh we'll secure own state and all this but. this is enormously emotional when we're happy that we're finally becoming a nation you know it's especially emotional for people who lost family members during the war but for the rest of us to do but as nick serbs who are concentrated mainly in the north across the bow see nothing to celebrate. very most.
10:08 am
you see today kosovo jeopardize security and peace in these parts of the country by forming a so-called kosovo army peace and security in these areas have been disregarded in the crudest manner. while the majority of course of the united states for its support for the move to create an army nato and the european union expressed regret on appeal to both sides to remain calm kosovo may be a step closer to full nationhood but the ethnic divide between albanians still runs deep. all right let's have a look at some of the other stories making news around the world yellow vests protesters are gathering for a fifth consecutive weekend of demonstrations in the french capital paris thousands of police officers have been deployed aiming to prevent a repeat of ricing that saw demonstrators smashing shops and burning barricades authorities fear more violence despite the government's announcement of

learn the qualifications and language abilities needed to find work but two hundred eighty nine thousand refugees have managed to into full employment while another seventy two thousand have point time work and another thirty one thousand are in training. the employment rate among research by grants is only thirty two percent compared to the figures for german nationals this is low nonetheless representatives from the governing parties say that germany's refugee policy has functioned well. it's a success let about four hundred thousand migrants to germany have found employment although they started off with little or no knowledge of the german language and didn't have professional qualifications. it shows how many people are needed in the

workforce and how urgently german businesses looking for employees to pocked with is always good when we highlight integration success stories because people don't automatically do that it's positive to talk about examples of success behind them is always the hard work of the people and the businesses themselves. the topic of migration has come to dominate debates in the german parliament the bundestag right wing populist d party seizes every opportunity to criticize large scale immigration to germany the leader of the a f d says the increasing numbers of migrants in jobs don't tell the real story via vent we are against this sort of gratian because it creates parallel societies this may not be very obvious as long as the economy is thriving but it represents a fundamental threat to our society. but the german economy with its shortage of skilled workers is counting on the migrant workforce without migrants some experts

player money well spent considering the frenchman's performances this season. on his and allison is a great player he's managed to add something to that seems that we've not seen for a very long time a striker who can score goals and he's always dangerous be fairly his glove box attack is the second best in the league it's not only player that can score talking hazard has found the back of the net eight times even their opponents this weekend hoffenheim are impressed. doing very well and are in great form they're always one of my favorite seems to watch in the bonus league last year they want that successful but they've really improved it. glovebox home record this season is the best in the bundesliga the same can be said on the road but dieter heading is hoping they avoid dropping valuable points against hoffenheim. reminder of the top story we're following for you she delegates to the u.n.
