a great heart has to understand and look at the people the celebrated right samos all those dying at the age of seven thousand nine. hundred ninety three was mackinnon thanks so much for joining me another twist in the syrian civil war a syrian government forces off a support to the kurds at the own request. the deployment of the syrian army to the town of mann bridge comes ahead of a threatened turkish assault turkey sees the u.s. backed kurdish forces as a terrorist group russia is welcoming the syrian move but turkey has condemned it is now sending its defense and foreign ministers to moscow for talks on the shifting situation itself to the u.s. said it would pull its troops out of the region. the syrian flag visible from
9:02 am
a distance flying over several rooftops the syrian army is on its march towards man beach to secure the town against a turkish attack. syrian television has broadcast triumphal news. and after we received a call for help from the kurdish people our troops have moved into the center of town but so far that doesn't actually seem to be the case video taken in man beach on friday afternoon shows an empty city with syrian troops nowhere in sight they are reported to still be twenty five kilometers from town to the north the turks and allied rebel forces are on the march towards town turkey has said it will never accept a contiguous kurdish homeland on its borders turkish president richard tayyip erdogan has held fast to his plans to invade northern syria. we have a clearly stated goal to teach the kurdish terror groups
9:03 am
a lesson and drive them out of this region. didn't you. that goal may have just gotten much easier to achieve with washington's unexpected announcement that it's withdrawing troops from the area. the kurds have stood by the u.s. as allies in the fight against so-called islamic state president trumps announcement of the withdrawal has left them in the lurch with the clock ticking they've opted for the syrian regime and president bashar al assad rather than face an overwhelming turkish military onslaught. for the latest on the story let's cross now to bora who joins me from beirut and health area says it entered man beach what are your sources telling you what's the situation on the ground right now. well i've been speaking to many people in members and this is they have actually not seen any citizen soldiers on the ground but having said that syrian government says that they have hoisted the flag in mum bush do they have not
9:04 am
declared exactly where they are the americans who are still by the way in syria they've said they'd be leaving but they haven't left yet also something they haven't spotted any syrian forces on the ground earlier one president has said the same thing so what that means is that the sit in forces are perhaps there somewhere but they're perhaps not there in huge numbers yet that door to a certain extent does seem irrelevant because the carnage forces that have officially tweeted saying that they have invited the syrian government soldiers to come in and deter this turkish invasion so on the ground people are very apprehensive about what's coming next but they also say that they hope that some sort of an understanding can be found between turkey syria we have russia so there's no armed conflict in the area ok so a great deal of uncertainty turkey's president added one has called the syrian move a quote psychological act what does he mean. well i think what he means is that
9:05 am
there are not enough so serious sources on the ground perhaps it means that a numb and want to sit in government is trying to achieve by declaring that they will be supporting the kurds as reclaiming that tenet. of the syrians that i've been speaking to those who are connected to the syrian government this is a turkey's being also conducting of its own psychological warfare by saying that they will be invading city of and they haven't really done that not our or our creed so what is a turkey essentially looking for there are talks happening today between zero to one and russia istanbul and moscow are going to be talking specifically about the situation in all its details and what we're picking up is a turkey essentially wants an assurance from the syrian government forces we have russia that might be g.'s cleared out of this area that is the main text to tucker yes y p g is the kurdish forces for tice's were allies with the us and are on the ground in still jackie says if these forces are not there and numbers anymore than
9:06 am
they were not to be invading syria these forces say they will be getting out of mom bitch so all of that if you put together it sums up to be not an armed conflict and these talks that are happening so we have these details foresaw only later in the day ok and shelve or a reporting for us from beirut thank you so much. in egypt a roadside bomb has killed three of it amazed for a local guy they were on a tour bus heading to the famous he's the paramedics egypt's government is investigating the attack and trying to reassure its struggling to for him tourism industry a vital source of foreign currency revenue that the country remains safe to visit. the vietnamese tourists were on their way to a light and sound show at the pyramids of giza instead they were struck by a deadly blast three of the fourteen tourists on the bus were reported killed another eleven were injured including the driver the group's egyptian guide was
