unknown substance was detonated at the storefront in the center of dubai in saxony no one was injured investigators are looking into whether the attack was politically motivated. and saying here in germany there has been a mass leak of lawmakers data it has been reported that hackers have tweeted the personal data of hundreds of politicians including credit card details and mobile phone numbers it's understood that members of every german political party was affected except for the far right alternative for germany party. let's bring in maximiliano kosik our political correspondent for more on the story max good to see you what more can you tell us about this alleged hack. now just minutes ago the german government has confirmed that there has been a data leak affecting german politicians on all levels from the national parliament the bonus tog down to communities and that the data has been in fact some personal
12:08 pm
information but we also heard from security experts already who have been looking at the leaks that some of the data seems to be coming from older leaks that they've been just like write it into new packages and that they're coming from older facebook hacks for example the one of the social media platforms or from twitter hacks as well and yes the data includes a lot of personal information that some of that would may also be fake or just being constructed right max we mentioned that the a.f. to the far right party was the only party in the bundestag that wasn't affected by this data legal what do we take away from that. well with data leagues or security attacks like these there's always the question where is it coming from and who and what is it aimed and of course it's quite remarkable that of all the parties that have been affected in fact every party that is in the national parliament has been affected only one stood out that is the far right a fifty and that paints
12:09 pm
a certain picture but one should not take so many suspicion or take up conclusion quite immediately security expos always warn that especially with attacks like these there is the ideal from behind to paint a picture it's this attack a lot of experts say already that this is a tactic is a tack that should seem sort of like a petition personally even accounts from the german chancellor angela merkel seem to be affected but again that attribution of where this is where this attack is coming from is always difficult and one should not jump to conclusions max just brief if you can we said the government has now confirmed this hacking this data leak this is not the first time that the bundestag the government networks have been accessed have been hacked why does this keep happening. well this is a different attack than to the one that has happened for example in two thousand and fifteen which was was by far the biggest attack that was an attack happening on the infrastructure of the german polman so the technical infrastructure the r.t.a.
12:10 pm
infrastructure was attacked it was a link that was back then circulated and infiltrating the computer system linking back information to what for a long time was nowhere to this current attack is a bit different because this is being circulated in social media with links that we have to warn should not be open if you're not a security expert because it could contain malicious software and the. reason that attacks in the last years have been always affiliated with suspicions of foreign espionage while this current attack seems to be something more of a psychological sort of attack of making politicized look vulnerable it's not only politicians who've been affected there's also been sturm and celebrities german for example journalists as well known comedian among those affected and so this seems to be more of a publicist who stand in the say. much money than it kosik thank you so much.
