covering the snow chaos for us in the alps and he joins us now for the latest so i mean what can you tell us about those german skiers who were killed. that's right as you said there were three found dead one still missing they went missing after they went skiing off slope and the wife reported them missing and they were the three bodies were found just an hour later at eleven pm unfortunately they had to call off the search for the last one because of conditions up there they're in avalanche territory the snow is coming down on the rescue workers just couldn't put their own lives at risk or asked them if they feel safe and they've pointed out which is true that you're safe if you stay on slope and the people i've talked to said they would never think about going off slope in conditions like this well i mean you have been traveling around for several days now speaking to rescue workers just how are they coping with the situation.

that's right we're about twenty minutes away from a military base here they have three helicopters they go on missions whenever they can to to make sure the conditions are safe and they are really they're overtaxed i mean they're they're working around the clock to make sure that snow is cleared off roofs around here that trees don't fall on power lines and when they do they have to get rid of them and they're also ready for any situation like we saw unless in western austria where if people go missing they're there to go out and find them fortunately hasn't happened in this area but as i said they're ready conditions don't seem to be getting any better but. they said they're on top of it and they're prepared for the worst but hoping for the best well we can see the snow falling all around you but what about the forecast for the next couple of days is there hope that things are going to get easier for the people in the area. well there's
4:04 pm
another meter of snow forecast in some areas around here which is just unbelievable it's been snowing for two weeks we visited some places where there's almost three meters of snow but one thing people are really worried about is when the weather conditions do get warm. and there's a melt or there's rain that makes no much heavier on roofs but also on slopes and causes even more of a danger for avalanches so that's what the military and also civil services are are preparing for to make sure they can deal with that if that happens. in s.f. reporting for us thank you so much for that update. and now to some of the other stories making news around the world german police have launched a series of raids against criminal clans more than thirteen hundred police officers were deployed in courtney did raids against family crime syndicates in six cities across northwestern germany the raids are focused on shisha bars cafes and gambling venues one man has been detained. the death toll from a suspected gas explosion in

she wants to stay in it please yourself both are just wanted to be over and done with cause i'm sick of. it. but apart from. them i just don't know what's going on really anyway. if elian knew all about the next thing that film and everything else changes. time is taking on britain's exit from the european union but many political hurdles have yet to be cleared. did have a correspondent here at mass is following that story in london and earlier i asked her what this thing that parliamentary vote might mean for theresa may well she herself hasn't really said anything about a possible plan b. what's going to happen if she does lose the vote even though for weeks and weeks and looks like she is not going to get through so we're really in unchartered territory it depends a little bit i think also on by how much she loses if there's

a huge. huge number of a hundred that would put a lot of pressure on her on the other hand she has always been extremely resilient even her opponents have had to admire her resilience and the steadfastness that she is going through this process and really determined to deliver bragg's it in what she things it's best for the country she has said that she's not going to resign but we really don't know there is of course the possibility that the labor party will ask for a vote of no confidence but they've also said that they are only going to do it when they are sure they're winning it so we really don't know what's happening if she does lose. now more than one hundred fifty years ago the last of germany's gray wolves were driven from the country but now the predators are making a comeback in recent years they've been returning to their old hunting grounds in growing numbers that's good news for conservationists but not so much for farmers
4:10 pm
in fact some farmers want will hunting to be legalized once again government officials met earlier this week but they're still struggling to find a way to deal with the rise of the protected species. they have come to stay it has been almost twenty years since the first eastern european wolves returned to germany in just two decades the population has grown fast now more than seventy packs are living here and the more wolves the more pray the sick. two to three killers of meat that's how much food meets every single day well in the national park they're being fed by the ranges but their wild peers have to hunt their own fruit and for that their roaming white parts of northern and eastern germany they're turning into a problem for farmers and shepherds especially since the population is growing. even the wolves prefer deer and bores they don't hesitate to tech livestock in
4:11 pm
recent years the predators have targeted shepherd who have taken to the us flock three times somebody spotted the wolf couple just hours ago close to his sheep the last time the wolves attacked he lost thirty two animals worth about three thousand euros it's not easy to obtain compensation if we've got is good to hear politicians are discussing legalizing the wall front do you think that would be a good idea you. know equal to muslims are i think we should hunt wolves just like we hunt other wild game we have to agree on an upper limit for wolves how many are good for germany if i take on many farmers share this opinion but environmentalists are anything but thrilled about allowing hunters to shoot rules in his front of the wall center where farmers can learn how to protect their cattle and sheep with wolves prove fences and sheep dogs she believes in peaceful coexistence between humans and wolves. and. you mentioned by my own feeling is that
4:12 pm
we humans are meddling too often with nature instead we should respect the rights of the wild animals i hope we don't panic just because we're afraid of the big bad wolf we know from fairy tales. we have to think critically is this animal a real threat for us or is this just coming from stories like red riding hood that trigger our primal fears and worrying some for. hunting is strictly forbidden in germany for now shooting one can be punished by up to five years of jail time though it is up to the federal government to decide on how to deal with the return of the wild predators people and wolves who have to share the same territory once more. now if you've ever felt life smashing something after a stressful day at work a razor room also known as an anger room may be just what you need it's
