a ybor him welcome back to the africa a of the demand on the part of the protest on the part of the opposition leaders is a civilian government for the next 3 is the fall there's a general election looking at where we are today how realistic is that outcome that's very hard to tell because at this point especially if we look at the exchanges between the military transitional council and the civilians in the past couple of days doesn't seem like either side is really ready to come back to the table since the violence of june 3rd since the crackdown on the sit in in front of the army headquarters negotiations have sort of fallen completely the 2 sides are not communicating directly they're communicating if you pin and african union media tonight so you know my sense is that the question is perhaps it's unclear if they're even willing to come to the table let alone. talk about breakdown between military and civilian on the council they had had reached

a kind of agreement before this violence but the military had even announced that it was stropping all of the points of agreement that the negotiations had reached at that point so it's unclear exactly what's going on there ok you talked about the you and we know that yesterday a deadline set by the way you pawson this was a deadline for the military a transitional council to appoint a civilian government what are the implications of missing that deadline we know that as it stands saddam has been suspended from the body because of what happened on the june 30th but what is this what is this missing the did i mean essentially i mean the aid has not come out and said an official sort of. opinion as to what the consequences are but we can assume that the suspension then still stands and that sudan's membership. will still continue to be suspended however it doesn't seem like sudan is necessarily bothered by this the military council does have regional support from other countries egypt saudi arabia the u.a.e. and it seems that at the moment the country is really caught up with this this is

now basically just a crisis and how to get out of this sort of like it's a brick wall yeah it's heating that pickle it's complex you have because you have you've got the military that the often so talk about you also have what they call the the rapid support forces right so these sort of 2 powers just explain the dynamic and what the implications for what's going on in the country right now so it's difficult to do for a for sort of western viewers to to to really just so the rapid support forces are essentially a paramilitary force that up until 2015 were really part of the government these have their roots and. militias that the al bashir regime had used in darfur to essentially crack down on the insurgencies there and experts have been warning for years that these militias and the power that they're reaching it's centrally a ticking time bomb in sudan so in 2015 around that time bashir

actually then upgraded as a militia into a paramilitary force called the rapid rapid support forces and he at the time make sure that they would be sometimes under the command of the military but sometimes under the command of the national security apparatus as well and they were sort of his enforcers of the you know when it became clear that bashir was not going to stand him or the iraq that support forces and they're neither has turned against turn against bashir so that's why their needs are really with the question whose interest is the military council really protecting is its own the people or the rapid support forces because these 3 things are not always the same ok as always thank you. our next story is in senegal way a female run workshop is breaking down gender barriers and fixing cars at the same time called the workshop was founded by a woman who is
